    I only heard about this today, and from someone who refused to elaborate because they felt it wasn't their place as they were not indigenous.
    It took me a while to find this interview. I wish that more people spoke about it, even if they feel 'it's not their place,' or at least directed us to sources like you. If it's not done in bad faith (as I see often enough), how can educating people a out the situation be wrong?

    I wonder what Rosalind thinks of Buffy....who also "spoke for herself, for fame, to be recognized and to feed her narcissistic personality. She didn't care about anybody else. Its about how much a victim can I be and how much can I be rewarded for...." So perfectly describes Buffy also! And the part you say of Sacheen choosing to become and Indian because being Mexican didn't work well in Holywood is also almost identical to what Buffys son said (3 years before she exposed!) except with Italians .."big nosed italian girls were not popular in the 50s but say its because you’re an indian ..." and .. "It was kind of a gimmick that became a fad and then a formula" "it only worked for my mom because of the indian identity". He said his mom "colored her hair dark as possible and wore dark makeup kinda like rachel doezal the lady" (on October 4th 2020 Tamara Ikenberg's page)....and it was "not that big of a lie"... he is trying to walk it back in recent weeks (probably wants his inheritance!) but it's out there. You have a lot in common with her family. They too had to watch a grandiose self indulged narcissist get a bunch of undeserved glory for years. My heart goes out to both your families.

    I think what bothers me here is the disdain with which she treats her Mexican American heritage, as if she was ashamed. I am proud of my Mexican heritage, just as I am of my PA German heritage. My mother taught me to proud of my family, Littlefeather should have been too.

      This started in 2007. Rona Barrett wrote an article. No one listened. Roger Ebert major film critic wrote an article. No one listened. Elders from different tribes told others. It wasn't addressed. Finally, an NA journalist took interest cuz the Tribal nation is sick of Pretendians. The timing wasn't my idea. Watch the interview again it's the opening statement

    Are all Mexicans Chicano or is that specific to your indigenous heritage? I ask because you the host mentions it not being cool growing up to be chicano. I notice the host uses Mexican interchangeably with Chicano where as Sasheen's sister doesn't and I believe refers to her father as being of Spanish Mexican descent. Would her father be Chicano and therefore her too by default if he's spaniard? sorry if this is a silly question

    • @jimjames2429
      @jimjames2429 Год назад +5

      Chicano is a term that is used interchangeably with Mexican-Americans who identify with the movement in the late 60's, and thereafter. Mexican-American is generally the diaspora or people who left Mexico but retain the culture and identity. Many Mexican-Americans, from the oldest of families in California or American-southwest don't use the term Chicano because of the negative stereotypes that associate with it. Sasheen's sister identifies as Mexican-American not Chicano. The term Chicano is a sensitive term which began with the labor movement (60-70's) so Sasheen's family don't associate with that term but Mexican-American. It's evident that the hosts of the show identify as Chicano, which is their choice. Mexicans are Indigenous but do not classify as American Indian in the U.S. sphere, simply because many were not imposed under US Federal law or removed to reservations.

      Her father doesn’t look Spanish at all, have you seen people from Spain?
      Her father look like an Aztec Indian from Mexico, so she was half Indian after all, not Apache though, like she claimed.

      @@justice-jb5ldyes she is and you can tell. Her sisters are lying this time. Yes Sasheen lied about being Apache, but she didn’t lie about being Indigenous. She’s just Indigenous to “Mexico”. Which would mean she’s either Mayan, Aztec or both with a little Spanish, Portuguese and Sephardic (her last name is Crypto) mixed in. Maybe some African as well. I have a cousin with a mix like that. His dad is from Mexico. My sister-in-law is as well and her family is also Crypto. I’ll have to see what other results her cousins got. Being Native American and from the south I got MesoAmerican so she might have gotten that too. 🤷🏻‍♀️
