"Kick em in the face Ren" real ones know!!!! Bob Marley I shot the Sheriff, Road to Zion by Ziggy & Hip Hop by Dead Prez... One song that led directly into War Pigs on that day... Check both of em out Anthony!
I was there and I have seen The Big Push live many times. Watching them play live is always a magical experience. It was inevitable that everyone else would discover them someday and they all thoroughly deserve this recognition.
Ren, Gorran Kendall (the other singer), and Romain Axisa (guitarist) all met while busking in Brighton. Would love you to see them do I Shot the Sherriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop (that's the best version, though they have done several versions of Sheriff.) They have some great original stuff too. Your enthusiasm has cheered up what is a very grey and rainy day here in England!
You like Black Sabbath? They cover War Pigs!! :) So much good stuff - including their own original songs like Watch Out! Btw Romain Axisa (guitar solo), Ren, Gorran Kendall (other singer on this) and Glenn Chambers (drummer) - so good!!
Gorran sings in this one, but Romain also sings - check out Bongo Bong - his voice is amazing! Their covers and originals are all next level! Check out I shot the sheriff/road to zion/hip hop live medley. Originals - Sweet Little Lady, Watch Out, All My heroes, Dignity, etc, etc! They're fire!
Gorran Kendall (the other singer) is currently travelling and busking around Europe. I believe Romain Axisa (originally from Toulouse, France) is still currently in Brighton. Like Ren, they both are solo artists as well. The drummer is Glenn Chambers (from Ireland).
All 4 Musicians of the Highest Calibre, Ren, Gorran Kendall on Acoustic and Vocals, Romain Axisa on Guitar, Glenn Chambers on Drums, they are all Awesome, Romains Neck Bend on his Guitar solo always gives me Chills, Thanks for the Reaction Anthony, i suggest you watch The Big Push - Watch Out (live busking), one of their original songs.
Another great reaction. "The Big Push" (Ren Gill, Gorran Kendall, Romain Axisa, and Glen Chambers) busking sessions, concerts, and live recordings all are awesome and well worth checking out. All but the drummer sing lead vocals at times. The guy singing after Ren is Gorran Kendall, and the guitar solo was done by Romain Axisa. Their covers of "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop," "Wade in the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble so Hard," “War Pigs,” "My Generation," "An Englishman in New York," “Bongo Bong,” “These Boots Are Made For Walking,” the songs "Oh My Woman," “Swan Song,” “Sweet Little Lady," "It's Alright," "Watch Out," “Dignity,” and so many others are equally impressive. The band performed their last official busking session and gave their last concert in September of last year due to the fact that Ren was leaving for Canada to undergo medical treatment for his multiple health issues, including surgeries.
The Big Push are Ren, Romain Axisa (lead guitar), Gorran Kendall (acoustic guitar/vocals) and Glenn (drums). Both Romain and Gorran have their own RUclips channels which are well worth checking out. Great to see you back Anthony and great to see your love for the music remains as strong as ever. Much love from Scotland 🏴
Glad to hear some love for Gorran Kendall's singing too. Check out his personal channel for some criminally underappreciated folk and blues tunes. Romain Axisa has also been dropping some gorgeous guitar instrumentals lately and Ren has a new one out on his birthday next week. Exciting times!
I love their covers of Bongo Bong and Englishman In New York. Their busking mash up of I Shot The Sheriff/ Road To Zion/Hip Hop is also epic. Thanks for the reaction
Ahhh yes! This was my introduction to Ren and The Big Push and I never get tired of it. I plunked a friend in front of this, and she was hooked too. And a few years later, finally they are all getting a growing audience that appreciate outstanding talent.
Yeah same spot, ship street in Brighton by the church. Seems a lot (maybe all?) of their performances are done there. The guitarist is Romain Axisa, frenchman also doing solo work (he is back in France atm while Ren is in Canada)
Every single member of this band is incredible. I believe that gentleman's name is Gordon. If you want to see HIM shine? You should seriously check out The Big Push, Icarus . Damn And btw Ren is painted gold in it Then Acurus, it's an unplugged version. Softer edge to it. Also, amazing. I for one REALLY like it when a reactor takes the video back to see their favorite part. It shows genuine interest. In stead of clicking off because it's over. This was a seriously awesome reaction to a stellar performance. Thank you
Love it !! He also posted some artists the he recorded live in his living room. The channel is call Ren's Room. Orlean is on there as well as another amazing dude, Joe Hitchcock.
Anthony! Anthony! Anthony! What you just did was an absolutely GUT-WRENCHING reaction! No pointed analysis needed, just pure and natural in-the-groove bliss. It was FUN! FUN! FUN! Thank you!
Damn I love his voice… such soul and power. Could listen to him and the band all day. This is true rock music, vibing in the moment and feeling the music not just playing it. Loved the reaction, so glad you love Nina Simone, she is my favourite female artist of all time and feeling good is one of my all time favourite songs! 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Hey man. With you on this journey. Alone and looking at all the music that discovering Ren has led me to. My birthday is tomorrow. I'm alone and we going to expect anybody to remember it and that's okay. I went to bed early just to let you watch some reactions and hear some good music. Most of which I've only discovered in the last few months. What I didn't expect was this video by you. It just came up in my feed and it was something I hadn't heard. Anyway I probably can't explain it right but I wanted to be sure you know what an absolute pleasure was to relax and sit back and enjoy the amazing musicianship and music along with your appreciation and attitude. I don't know what else going on if your channels I just got the impression that the beginning there was something. But then the music started... Just like you said it was like being there.. and to add to it you were there as well and enjoying it and appreciating it. We sharing the experience with someone this wild and crazy internet world. It may be lousy things going on.... But there are wonderful things... Life-changing things... As well. Enjoy and the shared experience even though unknown miles apart. I'm so glad you went back and listen to that part again and then we listen to the rest of the way. No idea how many other people were there.. I just neither I was connected to something special. Thank you.
You are very skilled at diving in and looking deeply at these performances I appreciate your oral expression it’s insightful expressing your self musically
At this point find something we can't like. What a great guitar solo. Love Big Push. But what Ren cannot do. The instruments the voices. And he is on 🔥. LOVE OT❤
Anthony Ray! Yes! It deserves another watch! I don’t know how I missed this one, but thank you for posting it! This is the dream team here!!! Their original songs are amazing (check out Dignity, Why My Woman and more!). They OWN any cover they do! This is the best vocal performance I have seen from Gorran Kendall (2nd singer). I hope you do more Big Push and check out Romain Axisa’s (guitarist) solo work, which is otherworldly… Ren, as we all know is a master musician! Gotta say, I always love Ren’s killer bass lines. His bass style is reminiscent of Entwistle of the Who.
Love how they all play one another's guitars. Brighton Beach Busking another channel to look at. Ren with Liv Sangster freestyle on Romains guitar is awesome!
Anthony. Love that man! I agree with you about rock... It just hits ya in the nuts! You’ve got to check out their song called “I Shot The Sherrif, Black Road to Zion / hip-hop”!! The Best Ren Big Push street performance! Check out their original route to form a song called “it’s all right “ …They also have an awesome cover of ‘War Pigs’ by Black Sabbath, and check out the cover of Bongo Bong!! I’m listened to their entire catalog shopping before he will blow your damn mind
Me too -.feel like I’m right there every time I put it on Love that bass and lead intertwining. First ever TBP experience and love at first listen years ago now. Something just gelled with this lot. Pity they have disbanded hope they play together again one of these days . I love that you love this music.❤ you get it.
You have to do their version of Manu Chau's 'Bongo Bong'! It's amazing how they changed it but at the same time kept it the same. Fantastic version that'll be in your head for days! Their talent exudes from their pores!
Hell ya! Check out 'I Shot the Sheriff'/ 'Road to Zion'/ 'Hip Hop'. You might want to take a look at 'Bongo Bong' and 'Englishman in New York' covers. All live!
So obviously it's live and for having such a small kit and basic mics the sound is amazing. It's a vibe and nobody is trying to outplay or show anyone up. It's also partially improvised - in a bunch of the busking videos Ren will turn to the others and motion to turn the tempo down but then they bring it back up. He usually turns to the other guitarist (I don't know his name)
The other singer (and strap maintenance tech guy) is Gorran. Hoping Gorran is English, as the others are Welsh, French and Irish! Would be nice to have an English guy in the mix!
From this to a number one album. Independently all those adjectives that you used were correct Anthony it’s what talent looks like, followed by all those other words and what’s the reward number one ours in Europe, and soon what artist in the world! I mean not many people have his natural talent but he definitely works hard as hell and his motivated considering what he’s been through. It’s amazing inspirational.. LINKIN PARK is your favorite band huh? That’s surprising. I’ve seen live before they are amazing. I just wanted to guess they were. Your favorite seriously imagine walking down the street and saying that shit? Dude, if you wouldn’t stop, you gotta be the biggest fool on earth.
This is one of the only Ren/Big Push performances I don’t love, even though I can still appreciate the skill. My favourite Big Push tune, which I’ve been playing on repeat, is their incredible cover of Englishman in New York. Just a fucking masterpiece. Not nearly enough reactions to that one!

Ok, so, do The Big Push I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip hop...then do The Big Push War Pigs! That's the order they played it at the busking session!!! It's amazing!
Hi AR, just wanted to let you know you've gained immediate "like" every time status. I still have regrets about decisions made doing my best in literal childhood. I'm not nice to me. But you have never made me regret a listen. Please keep it up.
Grew up on Black Sabbath? Well I think you will like The Big Push's cover of War Pigs! 🙂

Recently heard that Gen got married and is living in Thailand. I wish them all the best, but a reunion one day is a nice thought.

The thing I enjoy most about The Big Push is that as good as they are, they always seem to be a bunch of friends just having fun with music.
Ahhh yes! This was my introduction to Ren and The Big Push and I never get tired of it. I plunked a friend in front of this, and she was hooked too. And a few years later, finally they are all getting a growing audience that appreciate outstanding talent.
This shows so clearly their love for music pure and simple.

The Big Push
Ren www.youtube.com/@RenMakesMusic

Their War Pigs is actually a mash up of 3 Sabbath songs (well, 2.5 as one was guitar riff only) and 1 Rage song.
Top Shelf... Class
Now you can see how great he is playing bass guitar too ,
Romain Axisa is a superb guitarist. Super bluesy, keep on diving ✌🏻
