The band broke up because Ren had to leave for Canada to get medical treatment but they left the door open they'll get back together. Even now Ren says he can't tour or book concerts because he never knows if he'll be well enough to perform.
The Big Push can rock HARD. I hope they get back together when Ren's health is better. I'd try to fly any where in the world where they were playing to see them live, assuming I could get the $$$ together. Do check out some of their original stuff, too, it's kinda punky-ska influenced but definitely not like anybody else. They performed their original song "Watch Out" in this very busking session, there's a video -- do find it! The crowd knows all the words, which tells you how devoted a following they had.
