I feel so flattered with you worrying about the Brazillian Portuguese pronunciation. Thank you for your consideration. It's so rare for that to happen.
Dude, do yourself a favor and go to Eloy's youtube channel. Just do it for yourself because this guy is a next level drummer and the vid you reacted to doesn't even scratch the surface on what his abilities are.
There are 3 videos of him everyone should check out.... first Check out his “14 years old Eloy” to see where he came from, then check out his “studio cam- means to and end and pentagram ” ....then check out his “160” video of him absolutely toying with a metronome. It’s something else. The guys is likely the best metal drummer today, BUT hes also an absolutely insane jazz/Brazilian Rhythms percussionist
While the guitar player and bass player aren’t from the original lineup both were in the classic lineup of Cavalera/Cavalera/Kisser/Paulo Jr. Kisser has been on every album since 1987 and Paolo Jr has been on every album since Chaos A.D. So Paulo Jr and Andreas Kisser are the ones continuing the legacy of the band. That’s VERY different from a situation like Foreigner.
Eloy is the man. Awesome drummer with awesome chops. Check there’s a video of him when he was something like 15 Drum contest or clinic. He was already kicking ass
Andreas came in on the second album, schizophrenia (when they really got good IMO). Paulo wasn't the first bassist, but I think he's recorded on every album, so I consider him an original member. Even so, I think this is the best line-up of Sepultura. The writing is so much better than their 80's/ early 90's output and they've stayed a hell of a lot more relevant than many bands of their era.
Should check him out at the modern drummer festival when he was 11 I think. You should check out some playthrough from the new album quadra if you really want to see what he can do
Eloy is a fucking monster. I love it how the minute the video started you just shut the fuck up, because that groove punched you in the face. I know this sounds corny, man. But I'm going through some tough times and watching your videos helps me remember why I practice music every day, even when I feel down as fuck. It's good stuff. Cheers!
I love the grin during the bell part of the breakdown. I am sure I cheese like that too when I know I am about to hit the audience with some serious riffage. 😆
Hey Steve, new subscriber here and I’m really enjoying your vids and reactions. I HIGHLY recommend checking out Nate Smith’s drumming with The Fearless Flyers. They are sort of a spin off band of the funk band Vulfpeck with The Incredible Joe Dart on Bass
Gonna recommend Ace of Aces ruclips.net/video/6NdWg4xIus8/видео.html but really any of their videos will be right up your alley I think after watching your reaction to Anderson .Paak. On some of their tracks Nate literally does just hold it down with the snare, bass, and high-hat kit.
And now that I've actually watched the vid, yeah that's some serious groove right there. Love the tom grooves. And you're right, the band is staying in 6/8 while he plays a 4/4 over it in that spot. Gives a nice disjointed feel to it without being all chaotic the way something weird like 5/4 over 6/8 would be.
Hey man, great reaction, I don't know what would U say if U see his playing on the crazy new Sepultura song "isolation" from their golden 2020 album " Quadra".
Check out eloy playing manipulation of tragedy live Check out another brazilian drummer named bruno valverde playing el guajiro and aquilles priester playing through the fire and the flames
hey i know this seems a bit random under this video but back in your black midi video you said that you would cover them again and i was wondering if you're still planning on doing it.
I know ur trying to keep away from death metal but check out alan cassidy from Black Dahlia Murder. His speed his top tier with backing up the vocals and guitar. More interested on his double bass speed technique. The song catacomb hatacomb is a good showing of his mastery.
cool vid but man why would you do Sepultura but then pick a song that was written by 0 of the founding members?!? this guy is a beast & i enjoyed watching don’t get me wrong, but man you should have done some of their earlier stuff like Roots, just like you had mentioned
Sepultura still have 2 original members. You have lots of vids from Eloy better than this one. There are a few about Quadra that really shows Eloy in his best. This one is [Drum Cam] Eloy Casagrande - Means to an End (Sepultura) ruclips.net/video/dQe3EwkPcFU/видео.html
2 years ago you said you were curious to see how Greta van Fleets sound would evolve, why don't you react to the 4 new songs they dropped from their soon to drop album.
If you want to check out something slightly different ... check out Zakir Hussain, he is a maestro of Tabla (which are kinda Indian hand drums). Just to you know check out a new instrument, an expert that everyone should know about, and a whole new culture. There are many videos out there... I guess a solo video like ‘Horse running’ would be a perfect place to start ...
This "we" you keep referring to - do you have a worm in your pocket? Yes, I am being a smart ass. It is in the wheelhouse of most heavy metal guitar players.
This Eloy is a beast on drums. Love his tribal beats infused with heavy groove.
Nice! Please, react to [Drum Cam] Eloy Casagrande - Means To An End (Sepultura)
Best Metal drummer today. Period.

His kit needs a hug after every song.

Paolo Jr was on the first album so think you got that wrong.
Paulo is from the original lineup.
paulo is a original member fyi
"this young man is a bad, bad, boy"....😂 that was the highlight of the analysis for me.
Thanks for taking the suggestion! Absolutely one of my favorite drummers out there today. He's a monster. And his channel is full of videos!
Means to an end!!
Finally! Thank you and please do more from this absolute monster!
Love your channel brother!
This guy is good. Very very good.
Thank you, Steve. This was badass!

Been waiting for this one hell yeah he's one my favorite metal drummers ever you check out his desperate cry Playthrough
Watching his play throughs made me take drumming up as a late starter.
Listen Aquiles Priester 🤘🏻 Brazilian too
My band has a part in a song thats a skank beat over 7/8. Cool that you pointed that out!
I love the grin during the bell part of the breakdown. I am sure I cheese like that too when I know I am about to hit the audience with some serious riffage. 😆
Any chance we get you to show us that killer little tom groove.(where is left is hitting the octobon)
React to [Drum Cam] Eloy Casagrande - Means To An End (Sepultura)... Please! ^^
Another Brazilian drummer, Aquiles Priester!, is a must watch and react! lmao
Eloy was Aquiles student!!!
@@brunomartinssantos4947 isso msm !!
Aquiles is not Brazilian...but he lives here so many time that we accept him as an Brazilian!
@@andrebiasi1327 He lives here since 5 yo. His father was born in Brazil... He is brazilian....
I saw him interview portnoy about a year ago on a podcast- he was so soft spoken this video with his guns out made me do a double take!
I just have to say that the AI subtitles renamed sepultura "simple churro" I was in tears!

hes a monster. best of what we have
Do more of Eloy "Monstro" Casagrande. The dude is genius. Cheers from Brasil!!
You REALLY need tô check "Upper Levels" from brazilian metal band Angra with Bruno Valverde in drums

Good Sir. You need to listen to Quadra, their latest album. I rank it amongst their best. Or in the top 5.
Check out Aquiles Priester, Eloy's teacher. He's got a YT channel.
React to Paul mazurkiewicz from cannibal corpse
he said he only keeps playing like this because he is sponsored ... it costs a lot in equipment
Eloy is 14 years old. He took first place in this contest: ruclips.net/video/UJxUxzUCSlQ/видео.html

brazilian ninja anaconda
Eloy THE CAGED BEAST Casagrande!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im pretty sure andreas is still the guitarist, the only original member remaining. i personally believe Sepultura should have been one of the big 4
You're right. But both Andreas and Paulo (bassist) are original members.
Paulo's still the bassist so make it two.
@@fcasanova oh i thought paulo also left the band
