Loving Christ, Not Just His Gifts

One of the dangers we face in our path of following Christ is the temptation to desire the many good gifts He gives more than Him. Jesus Christ is merciful and good, and there are countless blessings to His reign. Western culture has experienced many of these. But it is possible to love justice, and the rule of law, and human dignity, and free markets, and family, and freedom and not love Christ.
And it is no profit to man to gain the whole world and lose Christ.
