I took it this morning and NAILED IT. I signed up for NASM CPT in November 2022 and then I read the entire book in 3 weeks. At the end of that 3 weeks I felt like I knew LESS than I knew before I read it. I was so overwhelmed that I didn't start studying again until March 2023😳. I found Show-up and literally after 2 weeks I was good to go. I waited another two weeks for some unknown reason ( without studying), then I studied for one more week and then took my test! I wish I hadn't read that friggin' book, it's horse shit. I ONLY followed the map and watched the videos...that's it!!!

I took the NASM test Friday and passed. I was asked alot of questions like how would you have your client perform a certain exercise, like what would your wording sound like. Lots of under and overactive muscle questions. OHSA questions and especially what exercises will help correct altered movement patterns. Stages of change and contraindications especially as they pertain to heart disease and arthritis. Also motivational interviewing. Know the names of the exercises and their progressions. Good luck everybody!

I didn’t sign up for y’all’s course cuz quite frankly paying for the NASM course was expensive enough lol but watching your guy’s videos and study sessions over opt model, overactive undeeactice muscles etc helped me a lot. Was really straight to the point and easy to consume. Before watching y’all I wasn’t sure I’d be able to grasp the material but after finding y’all I developed a foundation to build my studying on and that helped me pass the CPT exam the first try, thanks a lot

I’m taking it tomorrow for the second time, I failed the first time. I’m pretty confident that I know the material enough to pass this time.

I just ordered your book actually :) however, I’m struggling w the last part you mentioned with where things go in the opt model & acute variables. Do you have any tips?

@@ShowUpFitness I’ll look in to that, thank you! I live in Ohio at the moment and I would love to be an independent contractor at a few gyms training clients one on one. I like the idea of being an online CPT as well!
