I'm a retired nurse who works out regularly. It is my plan to take several courses and certifications. I'm probably more interested in corrective medicine but I definitely want to take the nutrition course. So NASM is probably better for me.
I am basically looking to acquire knowledge (and get certified) so that I can design (fitness & weight loss) home workouts for virtual training and RUclips channel. I do not have any related education but have 15 yrs of experience of workouts. Could you suggest me any course that comes at a reasonable price? I’d like to do it more for passion than profession.
Really appreciate the video, a whole lot of info. Dumb question but I’m going to ask it. When you mean 20 hours of continuous education does that require school work? So like every year I’m required to do at least 20 hours of certification training/schooling? Would that include just taking like an anatomy class at my local community college? Thanks much
Top Certifications Tudor Bompa Fitness Institute International United States Sports Academy NSCA I personally know of Trainers who self educated themselves in this field and will put many of the fitness certifications to shame, I know on Trainer personally who studied for the Physical Therapist Exam and pass it so he could easily get Allied Medical Referrals, smart move, I also know of two Trainers in my city that's never been certified and put hundreds of people in top shape, I seen some of their training and to my amazement, it defies all the SAID Principles.
NASM you have to go to a certain place to take the exam since you're monitored. ISSA you can either take in online or pay additional money for them to send the test to you through the mail. It makes much more sense to take it online.
Yes of course, the four-week fast track is definitely a lot of information to learn for anybody studying to become a personal trainer. I would only recommend this path if you are not working or studying anything else during those four weeks.
Reading through the NASM website today (3rd August 2021) it says "We've also recently extended the NASM brand with Premier Global, the certification and personal training course leader in the United Kingdom. Together, NASM and Premier Global are setting a new benchmark in fitness qualifications for our UK Candidates". So from that I would say you could now definitely use it in London. I was looking into it because I live in London but would like to do a course which would allow me to use the certificate overseas and NASM is what a personal trainer recommended to me when I asked him about it today
Most helpful! ThAnkyou for posting

Question what if I want to teach my clients boxing and power lifting?
I have a friend with all of the study materials. Is it possible to sit for the exam without paying someone to essentially study on your own time?
I did not get a hard copy from Issa. I can buy it for $50

ISSA has packages as well.
You have to pay for the textbook hard copy in ISSA.
nasm, but i will more prefer nsca
I did ISSA all on my cellphone and it was open book I googled the answers
So you passed and certified ?
That scares me
How about a reveiw on NPTI .
Question
Do the physical text books come with a mail in exam?
NASM you have to go to a certain place to take the exam since you're monitored. ISSA you can either take in online or pay additional money for them to send the test to you through the mail. It makes much more sense to take it online.
Is Nasm Beneficial in Canada or dubai ?
Would it be good to get both or would that be overkill
Wondering this as well
Does the nasm need proof of a ged or high school diploma
No !
Yes, before you take the final exam you have to have your high school diploma and a cpr certificaton.
For the UK, is ISSA preferred or NASM?
ISSA
Can you do a video on ISSA PT course vs thr fast track 4 week course ? Im assuming its alot of info crammed into the 4 week course
Yes of course, the four-week fast track is definitely a lot of information to learn for anybody studying to become a personal trainer. I would only recommend this path if you are not working or studying anything else during those four weeks.
Super
Failed NASM twice by a few points. Really looking for something not as hard/in-depth. Heard this one is not as hard and still valid.
@iatealready do you happen to have that video link please? Or name or the channel thank you!
@iatealready thank you!
Is NASM recognized internationally like for instance if someone wanted to work in Dubai or London?
I think regional gyms over seas might have their own accreditation you might have to go threw
No it's not
