As a personal trainer winter time tends to be busier. He also doesn't mention working crazy hours. He just casually says 30 hours a week. People tend to want to train early morning before work and later in the day. So you can expect to start at 5am work until 9am then again 4pm to 8pm with clients. This is why working with consulations is soo essential. When people have days off they can fill your daytime schedule. Good luck. It's hard.

There's this gorgeous (omg he's so hot) personal trainer in NYC and you basically have to be a celebrity to afford him. He charges between $300-$1,500 an hour with the expectation that you're going to use him 2-5times a week for 1-6months and he'll set a plan that you follow on the days that you're not with him. In order to be able to charge that much you need the certifications, the physical looks, experience, and the 5star reviews from celebrity names. My friends with in home gyms charge $40 an hour.

There's a lot of certification courses with PTP that I'm very interested in taking. But do I have to live in the Unites States in order to take specific online certification courses ? Because I currently live in Canada

What about keeping my normal 9-5 non-fittness job, and them becoming a member of a few different gyms that goes to then like a normal customer, then when i'm there working out, i'll sell myself as a PT and get clients..that way i don't have to split my money with the gym, but i'll still have access to a flow of potential clients???..

I've heard that if you're just getting into personal training, definitely don't quit your main job right away. You could start by getting your first client and working with him/her 2-5 hours per week and scale from there. Perhaps over time you'd build a clientele.

So as a 30+ individual that wants a house, a family, a nice living can’t live off as a personal trainer.

      Yes you can

Most likely no. Personal training is something you gotta start while you are young and can afford to be broke

@@mustang8206 That's not true. It depends on the number of potential clients willing to pay for your services and the amount of time you put in. That's if you're doing it independently.

I think it's like being a real estate agent...you're going to be broke for the first few years while you build up your portfolio of successful results, clients, branding, marketing, charisma, and even social media presence, etc

It depends on each individual. If you know how to properly work your social media you should get clients fast.
