I missed Tool at Red Rocks and then I moved to Colorado half hoping to be near enough to go "next time", and they no longer play there (probably because of all the extra audiovisuals involved, that need arenas).

When you get to “Thirteenth Step”, you simply must do “The Package” from this show - even as a double feature as the album version is phenomenal, but from this show it steps it up a whole other notch. 🤘🏻
Emp, what a surprise - thanks so much for reacting to the live version at Red Rocks! Orestes is my favorite APC song, especially this heartbreakingly beautiful version. It’s so powerful- particularly once you know both the literary reference layered with child and mother dynamic in the lyrics. I always get chills and tear up with this one. Can’t wait for next week!
I saw the first show of the Sessanta tour, Maynards 60th birthday tour, featuring Pucifer, Primus, and A Perfect Circle. It was incredible. Everything Maynard touches turns to gold. Thanks for the reaction.👍

This is perhaps APC at their best. The drums on this track are ridiculous. I think the album version was recorded by Tim Alexander of Primus, but Josh Freese, now the drummer of the Foo Fighters, replaced him.
It'll be a long time before you get to When The Levee Breaks on their Emotive album, but if you remember, you'll want to do the Stone and Echo version of that as well, imo. Also I would vote no video for 3 Libras.
Have you checked out Puscifer? I think you'd enjoy The Remedy and The Humbling River. I love Carina Round's voice with MJK. And Puscifer is _another_ side of MJK, not represented with Tool or APC.
You could’ve rewound it to the beginning and I wouldn’t have cared lol with something this good, you can’t hear it too many times I wish you could do the live version and then do a studio version
The studio version is amazing, but this one just might be better. Billy's harmonizing and solo are unbelievable. The same applies to the entire band and performance.
I listened to the studio version of this off camera and I LOVE the studio version! I refuse to say which one I liked more. You can't make me.
