I feel bad for Filipino kids who’s parents also decided “I struggled speaking English and I don’t want you to struggle so I won’t teach u my native language”, kids learn faster than u think 😭 and they live in majority English country so they’ll learn eventually, but I understand it’s coming a place of love

Yeah. A lot of the people I know speak perfect English as well. All while managing their Filipino. I understand why, but kids feel disconnected when they don’t understand their own language. Some feel like they’re left out. My family was kinda like that. They wanted me to speak English and always said to use English when I was a kid. But they never stopped speaking in their native at home so even though I don’t speak it myself, I understand at least what’s being said. Parents should understand that and not be afraid ngl
me with my parents but with their province dialect/languages, it would be awesome to flex to everyone that i can speak three to four languages instead of just two 😤

I feel the same way about my mom not teaching me any Filipino dialect when I was younger. Now as an adult it’s one of those things I wish I grew up knowing since I was surrounded by it. It’s a pretty language to me :)

They seem like kind people. I know about them but never seen a whole video about them to know anything about their personality or life but they seem genuine and happy people now. I'm sure they had a past just like most people. But they seem happy and in a good place in life. Also, side note, there's something so attractive about women cooking. I'm old fashioned at 25 lol but it's so attractive to me.
