Could you make a homemade stromboli with all fresh ingredients with pepperoni, steak, mozzarella cheese, smoked Gouda cheese and marinara sauce on the side 🤗
What you add to onions in the pan before adding bell peppers? Chili flakes you add later. I can see in a video that you add something before adding peppers but you don’t say what it was..
Your use of anchovies is making me so happy!!!! You have no idea!! I was like omg she likes it?! I’ve already tried 2 of your posted recipes and am prepping for your other recipes. SO good as usual🥰😋😋 thank you again for al the delicious ideas Hailee!!!
I can't get enough of your beautiful voice. I'm so glad you do what you do. The food is always simple to make but so creative and the way you talk about it makes it sound so appetizing ❤
when i was a kid by best friend's neighbour would always invite everyone over in the summer to help her make pepperonata!! she would fire roast and peel the peppers before making jars full of sauce 🥲 when the neighbour passed away the family was able to get alley behind the street was renamed pepperonata lane in her honour. it's a very nostalgic dish for me❤
It looks like it may be from the brand Made In Cookware. You can find similar sized pans by searching 3 Qt sautee' pan, though how they compare functionally I wouldn't know.
I like that you use anchovies a lot bc honestly I love cooking but think I hate anchovies even though I’ve never tasted one and I know they’re in things I already eat. Your videos give me inspiration to try making something new and different.
Interesting. I like my peppers with a bit of crunch. Will try your recipe. Your egg video was amaxing. Thank you. I love boiled eggs so versatile. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
i’ve always wanted to cook with anchovies too but the first time i had it (from a papa john’s pizza i think LOL) it was sooo fishy and thick. i think these types in oil are meant to dissolve away and be less fishy
Yes! It took me a while to find a brand I like which did discourage me but I was motivated at the time to make an authentic Caesar. It’s gonna be down to your own personal preference for sure but I’ve really liked dellalo and Roland if you can find it.. they’re kinda easier brand to find. It’s messy for sure and the smell will be everywhere so be careful once you open it up! And yes I’ve tried it on pizza and it wasn’t for me😅
Going to make it now, got the whole bag of bell peppers from our garden… will skip peperoncini though… planning to keep a bit in the fridge and the rest freeze in containers for later use
Try them sautéed with chicken pieces, onions, garlic, carrots, mushrooms and celery with a sauce made of soy sauce, hoisin sauce, Worcestershire, onion and garlic powders, allspice, Chinese five spice, red pepper flakes, tarragon, salt and black pepper. Serve over hot basmati rice with cashews. Soooo yummy!
a lot of italian dishes and sauces contain anchovies! from reading and watching, i think they add a better depth of flavor and complexity to the dish while being a very simple ingredient
It reminds me of like a salted duck egg or pickled plum thing I’ve seen in some Korean or other types of Asian dishes. It’s salty but also blasts some umami into dishes when done right. It’s also just preference.. not everyone will enjoy this fishy taste in their food
I hate green bells but have a real love for orange and yellow bell peppers…of course the best are Calabrian, long hots, jalapeño, hatch, and cubanelles
I know that feeling! Except mine is sweet potatoes. I really wish I knew how to enjoy them. But I just can’t stand their texture and taste whether they were fried or baked…

It’s peperonata not pepperonata

I love bell pepper! Especially stuffed and baked. ❤️ This looks awesome, though!
Finally, anchovies getting the love they deserve!!!❤
Ooh I love bell peppers though and you've given me a new recipe to make!
Your use of anchovies is making me so happy!!!! You have no idea!! I was like omg she likes it?! I’ve already tried 2 of your posted recipes and am prepping for your other recipes. SO good as usual🥰😋😋 thank you again for al the delicious ideas Hailee!!!
I appreciate you! Thank u! ❤
This is looks lovely! And I was just thinking wow she uses a lot of anchovies when you mentioned it 😅
Ill definitely make this, minus the sugar 😋
Yeah, I agree. I think the sugar is unnecessary.
I was thinking the same, but then thought maybe it was to tone down the saltiness of the anchovies. 🤔 🤷🏽♀️
Also its added to many tomato sauces and stuff. It helps to controll bitterness and to refine taste. Like adding citrus to stuff
The sugar helps the onions and peppers get jammy faster, so if you have patience you don’t need it!

I personally love bell peppers especially raw, theyre my favourite vegetable, but this dish looks delicious! 😍
I can't get enough of your beautiful voice. I'm so glad you do what you do. The food is always simple to make but so creative and the way you talk about it makes it sound so appetizing ❤

In Australia, bell peppers are called capsicums and I LOVE them! I have them raw with other salad or cooked up with almost EVERYTHING! ❤
Im from Nz and that's what we call them here too. They're bloody delicious

You can't really taste them in this type of dish 😊

I totally agree with the bell pepper issue!!

You love anchovies!! I've seen lots in your recipes lately lol
Me too on bell peppers. I love your channel!
Me gusta mucho 😋 😋
So beautiful!
Looks yummy! I don’t care for anchovies! They are too fishy tasting! Is there a certain brand that you use or am I doing something wrong?
i’ve always wanted to cook with anchovies too but the first time i had it (from a papa john’s pizza i think LOL) it was sooo fishy and thick. i think these types in oil are meant to dissolve away and be less fishy

You got me. Subscribed.😊
yea I make that, similar. I'll try the pepperoncini (banana peppers) addition. I eat it with bread and sausage. I keep it sweet too.
Banana peppers and pepperoncinis aren't the same
So nice to have a cooking video without the theatrics and drama. Love your cooking style and flavour combinations.
This looks delicious.
Thank you for posting.
Why do you add sugar?
Is it necessary?
As someone who grew up never trying anchovies, what's the best dish to try to get started on using anchovies in dishes?
Nice. All but green bell peppers. Everything is fabulous roasted!❤
Stay your Authentic You! I look forward to seeing your creations and being impressed by your expertise and knowledge. Peace be with you 💚🌈✌️
This looks 🔥 I dont even like peppers 🫑 like that but this😳🤔Might have to try it
Sounds delish
Going to make it now, got the whole bag of bell peppers from our garden… will skip peperoncini though… planning to keep a bit in the fridge and the rest freeze in containers for later use
That would actually make a very tasty Thanksgiving stuffing add some hard boiled eggs very yummy 😋
No matter how it's used, it is just *delicious*
It's used a lot in Mediterranean cooking as a side or a sauce. Cooked until the peper is all melted.
For anyone with chickens or knows someone with chickens, they LOVE the seeds.
i feel the same exact same abt bell peppers
Looks good
Brava!
I use anchovies a lot too. If I dont use anchovies I use fish sauce, which is still made of anchovies. Lol
I love eating the mini bell peppers raw. They’re so sweet , crisp, and fresh tasting.
good recipe, thanks
Likes anchovies but doesn't like raw bell peppers, makes perfect sense 😂
italian american here. this was one of my fav dishes growing up! ily girl ☺️❤
Those tomatoes are the most perfect tomatoes I think I have ever seen
This is great! Thank you!
I love bell peppers and anchovies.this is something I would try
The "touch" of sugar made me laugh.
i love anchovies. i even have it on ice cream 😉
Bell peppers are my favorite 😋🤤🥰
I bought anchovies because of you😊
I want that pan Hailee where did you buy it ?
Exquisite
❤
Pro tip from an Asian: if you can't get anchovies, use a little fish sauce. You're welcome.
You are a culinary genius❤❤😮
What cookware do you use?
Excellent Post👍🏾
Ohhh ! Italian Sambal 👀❤
This takes me back to childhood 🥲🖤 we’d always grill sausage and eat it with this.
The kid is a master chef .
She's not a kid, she's a woman lol???
Not a kid and she is a professionally trained chef.
"The Kid"
Lol 😂 She's definitely not a kid.
The use of “kid” was not literal, I find it endearing.
“ just a pinch of sugar “ *pours the whole measuring spoon full*
I like all the recipes you make, but why all the anchovies? what do they add to the meals?
a lot of italian dishes and sauces contain anchovies! from reading and watching, i think they add a better depth of flavor and complexity to the dish while being a very simple ingredient
layering and creating complex flavors
It reminds me of like a salted duck egg or pickled plum thing I’ve seen in some Korean or other types of Asian dishes. It’s salty but also blasts some umami into dishes when done right. It’s also just preference.. not everyone will enjoy this fishy taste in their food
You can cook sista girl…yessssss💯
Yes you use anchovies a LOT. Such a fishy girl! Love your videos
I hate green bells but have a real love for orange and yellow bell peppers…of course the best are Calabrian, long hots, jalapeño, hatch, and cubanelles
I love everything you prepare , yet this is not on my "like" list .. But love you to pieces ❤
?
Idea, use carrot juice instead of sugar. I use it in all my tomatoe-based foods that say to add sugar... It sweetens it but adds veggies as well
You’re ONE of the best! 🍅🌶🥖
This would've made a perfect Shakshuka!
I don't like bell pepper either but I'll still eat them lol
Anchovies are underrated! So umami and nutritious.
If you add red beans to this it taste so good
I know that feeling! Except mine is sweet potatoes. I really wish I knew how to enjoy them. But I just can’t stand their texture and taste whether they were fried or baked…
