So uncomfortable seeing Dan being bulldozed over when he’s clearly more educated on the topic. Ethan and Hila seemed genuinely annoyed in Dan’s differing opinion while Dan remained chill throughout. Dan trying to have a basic convo about capitalism and it’s influence on climate change and class divide while Ethan & Hila take off on their own tangents of “but what about this?!”
Money has corrupted them like so many others. They don't consider anyone that isn't rich or popular as people that matter anymore, this has been made clear by their treatment of fans in the past (That episode where the guy who made them a robot beanie was being disrespected and given barely any time). All they care about is the sponsorship money that keeps rolling in and their relevancy (the two are connected).
Its really sad to see two people who I used to love and admire, as well as being people I associate with being genuine and down-to-earth, turn into arrogant, narcissistic husks of what they once used to represent. They're so caught up in their own little world that they're now even turning on people they work with and who are close to them.
The latest episode tries to brush all of what happened here off as just a joke but it is very apparent it isn't when it absolutely fits Ethan's character to act like this sincerely (I thought Hila was better than him but she seems to be getting dragged into his world as well now). He can't handle criticism, differing opinions, doesn't respect people who aren't rich or at least popular, argues for the sake of it and CONSTANTLY spouts misinformation to make it appear as though he is educated on the subject (This tends to backfire when someone actually educated is present).
I can't keep denying my dislike for them both as people anymore. They've been through so much, received so much support from friends and fans, had the respect of millions of people...and yet they've grown into...this.
Talk about having something beautiful and destroying it.
This felt like being a kid and watching one of my friends get yelled at by their parents while I awkwardly stand by

We’ve seen their ups and downs, and we’ve seen through Twitter what they stand up for and what they don’t. I don’t think we’re being unfair when we see their display of assholeism and see it as genuine since it reflects the times they’ve been assholes in the past.

He demands his employees share their personal lives on the internet when sometimes they’re OBVIOUSLY uncomfortable with it. Also what’s with hila wanting to know everything... they’re not mom and dad.. they’re close friends but they don’t act like it Hila and Ethan act like their bosses which they are in which case they shouldn’t be getting offended when Ian doesn’t open up about his personal life.

The issue is ethan isnt really listening to the political conversation. "Billionaires shouldn't exist" is a talking point, not exactly literal. The idea is that if those billionaires had not been acting immorally before, not paying their workers, avoiding taxes, etc, they would not have billions of dollars.
Amazon workers don't get paid enough and are treated very poorly, meanwhile, the CEO is one of the richest people in the world.

I did not enjoy this episode. Ethan ranting at Dan and trying to force him to agree with him was physically painful for me.
I hate it when people try to make you agree with them and their views because they think they are right.
I don’t understand why Ethan gets so angry and annoyed, Dan is just sharing his OPINION, which everyone has and can have one that’s different than you. Not everyone has to agree with you. I hate this, people trying to changes peoples’ opinions or getting mad at them over it.

Those two statements only contradict each other if there isn't context. They are saying the government should fund NASA because it used to and now don't. How would paying the government most of your money while also starting projects that only cost money not generate money, such as space navigation and research, actually accomplish anything?

I'm only 20 minutes in and wtf. Interrogating Ian like this live on the show, why? You could have been more respectful and done it before or after airtime, if you're going to do it. What if he for instance has an embarrassing illness of some kind that he don't want to go public, which also prohibits him from working?

I cant help but feel that the Ethan from 10 years ago who couldn't afford a bell pepper would have a different opinion on the billionaire topic.

I think the idea is that if you could go back to the beginning of amazon and bezos followed all the hypothetical “rules” he wouldn’t be a billionaire. And if he is, at least we he made a lot of lives significantly better

I see where you're coming from and felt it was pretty obvious he didn't want to talk about it, but Ethan and Hila clearly needed him to be specific. I kept waiting for Ian to say something like "I'm just not comfortable talking about this", but instead he decided to "joke around" which caused Ethan to think he was just in it for the gaffs and potentially steal Ethan's spotlight.

When Ian is sitting behind his desk he is at work and that's when it is Hila and Ethan's turn to entertain the audience and have Dan and them sometimes hop in. But when you try and have them act as guest it doesn't makes sense, because Ian doesn't have as much of an experience behind the camera as you two so he tries to cover his inexperience with comedy(and he does a great job at it) Ethan's sense of entitlement to get an opinion out of Ian really annoys me. At this point i'm kinda just speaking on Ian's behalf which i shouldn't be. But also it is important that Ethan takes a look back at this episode and see's what he did wrong and that he takes it as constructive criticism, instead of "We were just joking around" because the only one joking around there was Ian... and Ethan getting butt hurt.
