A few years ago I was prescribed a painkiller called roxicet after a surgery I had, I took them as prescribed for a little while and when I was suddenly taken off, I was still in a bit of pain and found myself withdrawing from not taking them anymore, I started buying them on the street and it ended up getting super expensive and eventually couldn't afford it anymore but also couldnt bare to deal with the withdrawals so I eventually moved on to heroin, which is much cheaper, and I've been on it for a few years now. I've been arrested 3 times and was always given huge fines and probation, which just messed me up even more because I could barely support my habit but now I had to pay off fines as well. I dont have insurance and I cant afford a rehab. I was denied scholarships for help to pay a rehab for me and so I just keep going. As much as I want to stop, i just cant. If the first time i was arrested, if i was given help to get clean instead of just thrown in a cell for a few hours and given fines in court, my life could be a lot better right now.

I'm so glad the british government implemented this at the decline of the outbreak not you know when the thing fucking started. People are pissed off about it because they have been saying for months that masks are useless yet suddenly you get fined for not wearing one. Almost like they have no clue about what they are talking about. Ethan is being quite ignorant here, the karens in the video are one thing but dont say there aren't medical conditions that stop you wearing a mask, asthma, COPD and cystic fibrosis can all make breathing with a mask on difficult. Yes those people should be shielding ideally but not everyone lives in a perfect world where they can get food delivered at a moments notice on their doorstep.

The virus can also enter through eyes so for consistency we should all be wearing visors as well.

Drug addiction has been treated as a criminal issue rather than a health issue
A few years ago I was prescribed a painkiller called roxicet after a surgery I had, I took them as prescribed for a little while and when I was suddenly taken off, I was still in a bit of pain and found myself withdrawing from not taking them anymore, I started buying them on the street and it ended up getting super expensive and eventually couldn't afford it anymore but also couldnt bare to deal with the withdrawals so I eventually moved on to heroin, which is much cheaper, and I've been on it for a few years now. I've been arrested 3 times and was always given huge fines and probation, which just messed me up even more because I could barely support my habit but now I had to pay off fines as well. I dont have insurance and I cant afford a rehab. I was denied scholarships for help to pay a rehab for me and so I just keep going. As much as I want to stop, i just cant. If the first time i was arrested, if i was given help to get clean instead of just thrown in a cell for a few hours and given fines in court, my life could be a lot better right now.

Try visiting Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland. All the things Americans lists as reasons for why America is so great, is actually why these nordic countries are great. Just take the prison system alone. America is so far behind it's scary. America is a failed dream, but it seem like they are finally waking up and doing something about it.
I live in Finland. Been to the US multiple times as I have a bunch of relatives there from my mother's side. It's like a third world country except that I felt safer in Southeast Asia than I did in the United States.

Even 10 months after this video, there are STILL people like this. People feel SO entitled to shop in stores, but companies will happily kick folks out who are being disrespectful for not wearing masks. Working in retail during this time is RIDICULOUS.
