I went to my local nursery today and purchased, thyme, chamomile, mint, and lavender,...I stood in front of mugwort and I thought"I should get that",but I wasn't sure how to use it and the first thing I saw when I got home was your video of mugwort!!!
It would be so cool and helpful if someone (you😂) could do a video or two on actually foraging for the herbs lol I'm an old witch and have millions of herbs charted researched and written up on in binders and journals and herb guides I've made but I find myself struggling when it comes to getting out there and telling the difference between so many wild herbs. Great video very informative ty for sharing 🌱🌞💜
I would love this with maybe a vlog on foraging and what the plants look like in the wild as they often look different. Also what they look like fresh vs dried
I believe if u go look on her past vids she takes us along to pick some! and she talks about some of their properties...and I thnk there is a video on spring or summer herbs
knowing growth sites (like being near water vs inland for lady's lace) or really good diagrams that show specific differences are great starts. Also knowing if something grows in your area is good. generally I recommend studying a bit of plant anatomy on a basic-ish level. it helps you develop an eye for differences between plants and what makes them unique
I live in Central Asian country Kyrgyzstan. Our people have nomadic background. Mugwort is almost a symbol of Central Asian nomads. Its known for its strong protective and psychic qualities since antciant times
This video was so helpful!! As a beginner witch I often find it difficult to find very direct profiles on really anything that can be used for my craft. This breakdown is essentially just what I’m looking for so thank you!!
I have a jar of mugwort that doesn’t get much use, but I’m going to spend some time with it today. Thank you so much, Annie - you always give me inspiration to do some workings and invest into my practice.
Hyssop and Rue are two really useful herbs that I feel like not many people in the online community speak about. I know they are commonly used in conjure/root work or folk magic but I wish more people knew about them!
Interesting video! I just want to caution that if anyone wants to grow mugwort you should only grow it in containers and not in the ground. It is very invasive and difficult to remove. Mugwort was growing in a raised garden bed I was trying to garden in--I tried to dig it all up and remove all the roots, but if there's even a tiny piece of the root left in the ground it will regrow.
Yup. That happened here. My fiance inherited his mother's house and she has a big garden here. Grapes, pumpkins, herbs, all sorts of cool things. Lots of mugwort and mint. The mint is even worse, it takes up half our yard. Spearmint and peppermint. We figured we'd sell it because there's just no getting rid of it at this point.
Would you possibly do a podcast? I find your voice so soothing and at the end of the day. I just want to curl up with your videos in a cup of tea but if I could not be watching a screen, I think I would enjoy the experience so much more. Even if you just took the audio out of your videos already and started uploading them, I'd be all over it. Stay safe darling!
I've discovered a miracle with Lavender. I drink Lavender tea at night, it not just helps me sleep, but restless legs calm. I put loose Lavender in a pouch, and I smell it, laying it near or under my pillow. 😀 I've never used mugwort, but it's something I'd like to eventually look into using. (Your videos are amazing, by the way)
I love mugwort. It definitely aids in the dreamwork for sure. I also use it in Incense, candles, and sachets to enhance my psychic vision. Beautiful video as always. Thank you for sharing.
Loved this! I appreciated your word of caution about consuming mugwort - I assume you're referring to thujone as well as correlation with miscarriage/abortion for pregnant women. It would be awesome in future herb profiles if you could give a few more specifics about warnings/contraindications, even just briefly, so people know what to research later :) Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
I feel a connection to Rosemary I can't explain. I would love it if you ever dived into it, but I'm sure all the herbs you will discuss will have helpful information.
I agree with what she said and love that she put out all the cautions about ingesting it. I took a few years before diving in that far and starting out smaller is the way to go. Also watch where you are sourcing your herbs from! You don't want to ingest a fake or pesticide treated plant.
This is perfect. I recently started working with mugwort for these very reasons. I know it's a very powerful herb both magically and medicinally. I'm definitely going to check out your patreon! Love your videos lots of love🥰
Really useful and beautiful video…Even if it’s not associated with the planet Venus I’d prehaps link it to the goddess? Feminine and powerful. Also does anyone else just absolutely love the name? “Mugwort” it’s fun to say 🌱
I was going to say this myself. Mugowort is used in Chinese medicine for menstrual issues, pregnancy issues, and sports injuries, which relates back to Artemis, who is the goddess of the moon, childbirth, and hunting.
I would love to see you pick an herb each month and profile it and give us medicinal and magical properties as I am getting into Green Witchery the last few years. I searched and searched for someone to follow and you were it since you matched my energy and are doing the things I dreamed of for many years. Thank you Annabel
I would absolutely LOVE to see more of these profiles - maybe alongside a foraging series? I think those could supplement one another well. This was fantastic.
Thank you so much for this!!! You were the catalyst into my herbology obsession. You are a wonderful teacher. Myself and so many other people truly appreciate you. 💕 Give the pups a little snuggle for me please!
I love mugwort! I have a loose leaf tea of it that really helps me sleep and calm my anxiety dreams… that being said, I have recommended the same tea to friends who have had very strong, unintentional psychedelic trips from it so everyone varies and just like she said, please make sure you are safe and knowledgeable before ingesting it!
Here in California we have a native mugwort (artemesia douglasiana), that's also very medicinal and useful. Slightly different, but some of the same effects
I don't know much about the different herbs..I love flowers...like wisteria, magnolia, sage, gardenia, and rose..Can you please do a video on flowers as well..I also liked to make tiaras out of a certain flower when I was a girl.. can't remember the name of them, only what they look like. Also I just find different kinds of rocks..crystals.That doesn't mean anything...right?
I really enjoyed this video. It's interesting to know what the capabilities of different herbs are. I would also love to hear about the folklore behind different herbs ❤
This video was lovely! Thank you for sharing this wonderful information. As a new witch, I still sometimes get lost when it comes to herbs and utilizing them for various purposes. I appreciate all you do on your channels! :)
HelloI am new to your channel, I am a 48 year old mom of 3, and very new to the spiritual world & witchcraft. I very recently become aware of abilities & changes within myself that could not go unrecognized any longer. I am so intrigued, & excited to learn, experience so many things, but have no idea where to begin. I definitely know I have a great connection to water. I always have, I live very close to the ocean, and I have always had a great love for the ocean, lakes, but mostly the ocean. Almost 3 years ago, I sustained a head & neck injury, after a year of complications, I went on to have a second concussion. within less than 3 years, I had 4 concussions, completely unrelated, accidents, guess you could say I’m a little accident prone.. 😂 I now have a seizure disorder. It’s since the head trauma’s that I began having visions and other spiritual connections. I have so many questions I would like to ask, I hope maybe you can help answer. 💕
I would love love love a video on how to make herbal profiles. I’ve decided instead of only using the well known herbs, I want to start using native plants. I’m in Texas, and there are hundreds of native plants here that I’ve never heard the names of. But some are edible or were used by people for medicine back in the day, and We all know that all plants have magical properties! And while I would never ingest it without talking to a pro or handle it if it’s poisonous, I would love to be able to learn to use the native plants around me instead of only buying
Loved this informative video. I am just starting to read more on the properties of herbs. It's usually overwhelming. So hard to retain much on my own. The way you teach/share your knowledge & experiences is both comfortable & retainable. Tysvm Blessed Be
Dear Annie, Thank you for this beautiful video!!! I find it very interesting and did really enjoy watching it . I would love to see more Herb Profil Videos like this! Love, Stella
I love this video idea (and the video itself) very much! It was great to listen to you talk about something your passionate about and learn from you. Mugwort is a plant that has been popping into my life quite often recently though I've never worked with it or even seen it in person.
Really enjoyed this. Look forward to more material like this. Especially understanding the profile of herbs and other tools. Might I suggest Hyssop, white sage, lavender, rue, frankincense, pine. I've been reading a lot about cleansing and protection and I find these rather interesting 😁
I love this video; your breakdown of this herb like elemental correspondence, what that means and how to use/interact with this is the info I need as a beginner witch. Maholo 🥰❤️
Great information! I would love more information on growing habitat, where to find and identifying these plants. I'm quite new to herbs and magic in general. Thank you!

There's an app for this. It's called "Picture This".

GOD I LOVE MUGWORT. I work with it very regularly and it’s the herb I connected with immediately as I started my craft.
Hyssop and Rue are two really useful herbs that I feel like not many people in the online community speak about. I know they are commonly used in conjure/root work or folk magic but I wish more people knew about them!

thank you, Tami!
That's really helpful information. Thank you! I'm going to try growing it for the first time this year.
when is the best time of year to grow Mugwort
I have a big area of mugwort in my yard . I mow around it to keep it contained . It works well and I feel mugwort rich !
Yup. That happened here. My fiance inherited his mother's house and she has a big garden here. Grapes, pumpkins, herbs, all sorts of cool things. Lots of mugwort and mint. I love Lavender in my pillow as well ! It helps me sleep and takes away my nightmares 😊Blessings!
I didn't know lavender helps with restless legs! I get that as well as restless arms sometimes when I am trying to sleep. Thanks for the info.
Absolutely love lavender. Rosemary and lavender are two of my favorites.
I love mugwort. It definitely aids in the dreamwork for sure. I also use it in Incense, candles, and sachets to enhance my psychic vision. Beautiful video as always. Thank you for sharing.

I love mugwort and am getting into herbalism, please make more videos like this! 🥰
I feel a connection to Rosemary I can't explain. I would love it if you ever dived into it, but I'm sure all the herbs you will discuss will have helpful information.
I love rosemary as well. Ever since I bought some rosemary oil for a spell, I fell hard for it.
Me doing an excited dance as I know I have mugwort in my cupboard! 💃🏻 ✨
new subscriber here, thanks for the lesson
I agree with what she said and love that she put out all the cautions about ingesting it. I took a few years before diving in that far and starting out smaller is the way to go. Also watch where you are sourcing your herbs from! You don't want to ingest a fake or pesticide treated plant.
I would love if you did a deep dive into lavender or yarrow I think those would be fun to see
I smoke Artemesia vulgaris occasionally, makes you feel funny in the dome space but in a pleasant way, the tea is pretty good also.
Are the smokes and the tea similar in effect?
I love your video. I’m glad I found you.
I just saw the haunted cabin story. It was awesome.
"Embracing the life of the witch". Not for the faint of heart as you well know. 🌛🌝🌜
Mugwort is my favourite herb. It empowers my magical power.
Excellent stuff 👏
Thank you young lady.🙏💝
Thank you,thank you,THANK YOU!!!🙌🏽👏🏽❤️
This is perfect. I recently started working with mugwort for these very reasons. I know it's a very powerful herb both magically and medicinally. I'm definitely going to check out your patreon! Love your videos lots of love🥰
Mugwort is both very earth like and air like for my craft ❤️
Love mugwort!! Have a plant I planted two years ago and it did AMAZING last year!!!
I would like to see a video on profiling the magical properties on de 'erbs 🙃
Really useful and beautiful video…Even if it’s not associated with the planet Venus I’d prehaps link it to the goddess? Feminine and powerful.
Also does anyone else just absolutely love the name? “Mugwort” it’s fun to say 🌱
The scientific name is artemisia vulgaris, so I would associate with with Artemis/Diana.
I was going to say this myself. Mugowort is used in Chinese medicine for menstrual issues, pregnancy issues, and sports injuries, which relates back to Artemis, who is the goddess of the moon, childbirth, and hunting.
Wonderful! I absolutely love mugwort, both medicinally and in spiritual practice.
Ohhhhh...please do this monthly! This is fabulous!😉
I would love to see you pick an herb each month and profile it and give us medicinal and magical properties as I am getting into Green Witchery the last few years. I hope you expand this series to cover other herbs and uses!! Thank you for the info!
If books are sold, will purchase.
Love her/mugwort ~ being a femme as well as an earth sign, makes quite a bit of sense.
Also, Muwort has such "queen" energy❣️
Here in California we have a native mugwort (artemesia douglasiana), that's also very medicinal and useful. Slightly different, but some of the same effects
