Woke women in charge... recipe for disaster!
Send the woke ladys to Uganda.
A lot of this is the Biden Administration pushing this and unrealistic fuel mileage standards to meet by the EPA. Maybe the Supreme Court’s throwing out Chevron Deference will stop these unelected Agencies from making “Laws.” That’s Congress’s Job.
Always!!
Thanks Democrats for stuffing up everything.
Again🙄
Buyers want ICE
No, SAUDIS want ICE! 🤪
All EVs are the same: A giant battery with a flashy gimmick-filled toy car built around it.
@@alexalex13131 EV’s are like comparing Zippo lighters to Bics. You throw away a Bic when out of fuel. You keep on refueling Zippos for years. Pretty similar comparison. EV”s are throw away cars !
@@winnon992 Good analogy. But in the car case the more expensive choice is also the disposable one. It makes no sense at all to me and many others, that's why EVs are bombing.
@@philiptownsend4026 your right, it makes no sense to me either. If I want to keep a car for ten or twenty years you can with a gas burner. You’d Never be able to get that out of an EV. You’d be lucky to get four years, maybe five I’d imagine.
Electric motors are superior to internal combustion engines. The problem is range and that's a battery issue. We need lighter more energy dense batteries.
EV's will blow your car off the road, gramps.
Ford, Volkswagen, Mercedes, BMW, all in the same situation.
Governments forced this folly on them for spurious reasons.
The big problem is they put a mandate in place without legislation to a plan to update the grids and charging stations they put the cart before the horse you put a mandate before you put plans in place is kind of stupid if you ask me
@@godofdestructiondiecast6756 EVs are worse for the environment, more expensive to operate and maintain, catch fire easily that is very hard to extinguish and are too heavy making them dangerous on the road since today's guard rails won't stop them. The current electrical system cannot handle the demands of charging them. When time to replace the battery it costs more than the vehicle is worth. They are a bad idea all the way around.
@@arch3088 true
@@philiptownsend4026 I saw a Trucking CEO that’s over several thousand trucks talking. He was talking to Government Officials about Semis going electric.
He told them for the trucking industry to go EV they’d have to rebuild every bridge in the U.S. plus charging the trucks every Six hours would run up labor and cost tremendous. It’s going to end up being much lighter loads with more cost
Involved. The Government told him to go ahead with it ! Talk about inflation and shortages ! We haven’t seen nothing yet.
I hope the Supreme Court’s decision striking down Chevron Deference puts a stop to this insanity !7
@@arch3088 An all round Absolutely. I hadn't heard your guard rail point before - good one.
Please, go BACK to SIMPLE! No TOUCH SCREENS,Knobs and Dials, No Computer's in the CAR, or TRUCK. Roll down the WINDOWS, Air cooled engines like the CORVAIR, No Radiator, A small Car like the Subaru 360, and the Tata Nano, from India with a low price that PAY CHECK, Joes, and Josephines, can afford.
I have said this for long time too!
I agree with you one hundred percent, I don't see the car as a status symbol or entertainment center I am satisfied that it gets from A to B in the easiest way all year round and around the clock.
100%
We need to go back about 10 to 15 years with vehicle technology. Petrol or Diesel engines controlled by an ECU, ABS brakes for efficiency and safety.
Definitely all controls by knobs and levers, simple audio systems, NO touchscreens, again for efficiency and safety enabling drivers to concentrate on the road and driving.

Mary Barra worked on the Disney Board, and she's failing upward. Must be a Democrat DEI hire
She will leave Ford and get hired at Secret Service
They needed to build millions of charging stations. What were they thinking?
They weren't
My 1972 Chevy C20 was equipped with a 292 six, 3 speed manual trans. Heavy duty radiator and an AM radio and had a sticker price of $2,917.42
Have they figured out yet, YOU CANT LEGISLATE THE EXISTENCE OF A MARKET. Not even with huge threats and propaganda over environmental catastrophes that don't happen and quietly get revised when the deadline passes...
The future is EV, but this is not the future, we're years, decades away from the storage and use of energy capable of functional transport all year around vehicle use. Batteries just aren't there yet, and brighter is the generation or infrastructure.
It's a nice novelty for those that can afford second cars and an ICE one at that. But most people can't afford to buy one and the deal with the issues of range and changing...
What happened to the hybrid? It's probably the nearest we are going to get to an efficient serviceable practical car until the energy storage or live generation capabilities are created...
Yeah, EV's are more high tech than they need to be. Give me a regular ICE car except for the electric drivetrain. No LCD screens and stupid menus!
Like my 2005 Land Rover Defender Td5 its19 years old starts first time even when not used for a month good luck with a modern car which sucks up the volts even when not being used and yes its been 100% reliable too.
@@ebbonfly Land Rovers are always on the bottom of the list of reliable vehicles. They're notorious for having an awful reputation for complaints from owners. However, there is always an exception to the rule, which seems to be your case.
Electric is the wave of the future, it's just a matter of time until all cars are electric. They have tons of advantages for the buyer and the manufacturers and the bugs will all be ironed out eventually.
Vote for Trump.
idk how much he will be able to change things. he needs the rest of the gov to go along with it. and in a new world of unfair elections idk if we will ever get the country back
Trump WILL fix most of this quickly by surrounding himself with 'TOP NOTCH" men and women on his team.

EVs and hydrogen without infrastructure are junk.
Hybrids are the best short term answer until batteries and infrastructure catch up.The Steam engine went extinct in the 40s and diesel electric locomotives have been their replacement since them. Diesel electric IS a hybrid !!! Today, Edison Motors has a succesful hybrid logging truck that beats the Tesla in both power and fuel economy and most importantly, and it is lighter than the standard trans truck NRA. No range anxiety.
Get it straight .. The infrastructure TODAY CAN NOT support EVs or hydrogen but hybrids can and are doing it with no infrastructure change with BETTER FUEL ECONOMY WITH PROVEN TECHNOLOGY
Only a few countries can support EV..Canada Norway with hydro and nuclear . Going electric with coal or gaz is a shame . Hydrogen is only a dream . Do we need a 700 hp car ??
It won't be long until there is an adequate charging infrastructure and then EV's will take off! It's just tough to transition.
They want less NOX and CO2 in urban areas? Fine. It's quite easy to make a hybrid which can do at least 50 miles as a pure EV. And the good thing is in a traffic jam they don't use very much battery power. So the range doesn't reduce much. But when you need to do serious miles and don't want the charging hassle, they can do that too.
I like PHEV's, too, but they're not selling many of them. I think they make a great bridge vehicle.
Just read that Ford are losing 56k on every F150 EV sold, crazy.
They're in a bind now trying to transition. Someday soon they will be making money on EV's.
Biden said GM is leading EV seller in the US, Tesla is not even 3rd according to Biden.
Biden must have failed the lie detector machine.
Time is right, just blame it on the Chinese. 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
nah blame it on the U.S.
Not a luxury vehicle, not reliable
Last k checked. GM has almost as much EV’s at dealers as full sized pickups.
"EV certified"...you definitely need to be certified to buy an EV.
You see what is going with GM Ford and their EVs. But chrysler is coming out with the 2025 Dodge Charger EV. They better hope they don't have the same problem Ford and GM is having.
I will never buy an ev.😂
Politics and Product Development don't mix, especially political green deals like this. Go woke, go broke.
Every time
Just plug it in. Entitled as a woman is what EV's joy is. Think EV was a bad idea. Time to cut the umbilical. ICE is forever.
ICE is toast. A dying dinosaur walking it's last mile to the grave. Trust me on that.
The legacy car makers are experts at making cars…
Elon Musk/Tesla are experts at making 4 wheel robots…
The legacy car makers gave Tesla a 15 year head start and will not be able to make a competitive 4 wheel robot for years. By the time they can make a 4 wheel robot to compete with the Model S, that was introduced in the market 12 years ago, Tesla will be making significantly improved 4 wheel robots with Full Self Driving software included.
So… the real question is how soon will Government Motors, Ford and Stellantis go out of business?
When Tesla is selling EV’s for as low as $15,000 the legacy OEM’s are finish, done, history!!!
The Chinese will EAT Tesla's lunch! Guaranteed!
Some people like them, but there’s way too many downsides notably infastructure , people ( myself included) were convinced by government and media that EVs were the future lying by omission is still lying about range, and perform in extreme cold or heat , high insurance, the list is endless
How come you are not reporting the cancelation of dealerships and direct on lone sales? They both announced it last week.
I think the bosses should gives themselves a big pay rise before the company goes bust. They should make sure they’re okay. Forget about the workforce.
EVs are a great idea. I'm all for it. And no that's not sarcasm - I truly believe Electric Vehicles are the future.
Ford, GM, Hyundai, I'm ready! Gimme a call when you solve the recharge time problem, the public charging problem, the weight problem, the battery replacement problem, the reliability problem, the Lithium supply problem, the temperature problem, the price problem...
I'm out here, waiting. Sorry for your sales dip. You rolled this stuff out WAY too soon, to the point where EVs are going to have yet another problem - the Public Perception problem. Even if the manufacturers somehow solve all those other problems, there's now going to a significant segment of the public who are going to remember all this, and will never buy an EV, ever.
And no, Solid State batteries are not going to solve most of those problems...
I agree with you.
You forgot the tire wear problem and high insurance
There is no "lithium supply problem". There is an excess supply of lithium and the price has plummeted 60% in a year! China is coming out with a charging system that will give 10% charge a minute! Soon gas stations will start turning into charging stations but there are still millions of ICE cars on the road that must be supported. Battery replacement costs will come down dramatically in time. The price problem is already disappearing with many Chinese EV's going for under $20k. China is the remedy for the high prices we see now. Unfortunately Trump and Biden both think we have to prop up the American car companies so they both want a 100% tariff on Chinese cars which will double their price. Which sucks!
As far as the public perception problem, yes, that is a real problem but it can be easily overcome just like the automobile overcame the horse and buggy. There will be a tipping point where the public's reluctance will be overcome and everyone will want to buy an EV. A better product sooner or later always pushes out a worse existing product.
They're 10k to high on the Silverado EV 3WT/4WT. Sales would explode if pricing and infrastructure was better. GM needs Tesla supercharger access really bad!!!!
We need to switch fuels from gasoline to alternative fuels like alcohol. The infrastructure is in place, we can mass produce alcohol, we know how to run ICE vehicles on alcohol. No need to develop EV technology.
The Germans had to manufacture alternative synthetic fuel during WWII when they lost access to oil based fuel.
The green lobby will claim the emissions from alcohol is destroying the planet.
thats not the plan, the plan is the luciferian elite squeeze and extract as much profit from the victim....pull down your pants!! and you get no flowers
I like EV's! They're the wave of the future! Gas is shit, everyone knows that. But it will take some time.
EV'S should be leased at subsidized $$ until depreciation gets in control
That ends with poor people paying taxes so that rich people can have an EV. They do that here in the UK, it is a scandal and it is the left wing elites who want to punish poor people the most.
Just switched from Audi S5 coupe to Tesla Model 3 High Performance. For anyone open minded here, take a Tesla for a test drive. Incredible handling, unreal acceleration, best sound proof vs anything else and all the fun tech in that wonderful display including mesmerizing sound and video system. Just give it a test drive. Honestly.
I don't need "fun tech" but the rest sounds good!
Buyers would like affordable & high quality Chinese electric cars. Just get serious info
Yes 100% import tariff
Everything I read says the Chinese EV’s are nothing but a Fire trap
The problem isn’t EVs, it’s that you’re making the wrong EVs. You ban BYD from selling cheap EVs but your own manufacturers won’t make them. Talk about stupid
Tesla at the moment just offers one updated model. Model 3 Highland. Updated Model Y is not at the market in time. Model S and X are outdated.
And Cybertruck is no mass vehicle.
The biggest shortcoming is a 25000 Dollar Model 2. (And a 19900 Model 1?) With same fun and mileage and power as M 3 but smaller and a bit more fancy. Don't understand why they don't close this gap. They could do same engines and LFP batteries in it. Like Volvo and Polestar do. And a platform, that is open to Roadster and Convertible.
this is BS gm ev sales went up like 25% last quarter
Mary Barra......when are we getting access to Tesla Superchargers with adapters ?
BYD in Canada soon. Yesssss
hey... braintrusts, did anybody ask for these stupid cars and trucks?
Apparently this is what could happen;
I studied business and economics.
1) The Customer is the price maker.
2) The business is the price taker.
3) If you don't make a product that Customers want. You will not sell the product that you are manufacturing.
4) If the government dictates the economy. That is a command economy and is no longer a free market. And command economies never succeed.
Example:
Please research command economies. All communist countries are command economies. China, the former Soviet Union, etc.
The ruler tells everyone what they will be required to do. Comrade: you will make tractors. But I am a doctor. Silence you will make tractors. But no one needs a tractor. Silence; you go to gulag for reeducation.
Kind of like that. 😂 LoL.
Or in this case apparently it's. Silence underling, You will manufacture $95,000. EV's. But most of the country is earning minimum wage. Silence you make them purchase the EV. But how do they pay the $1,100. Per month payment. Silence underling.
Etc.
You are exactly right and it is very easy to understand.
@@jimblamire3312 Thanks Jim.
If the stupid US government would quit propping up our car industry and not put 100% tariffs on Chinese EV's all the folks making minimum wage here would be able to drive a nice EV!
EV'S could be retro fitted with a gasoline engines & generator. The EV motors would be powered by the generator and gasoline engine.
This how RAILROAD locomotive operate
They want to ban gasoline and diesel.
