- "How can I find my ultimate dreamie villager? Is there some magic I could use to spawn in better villagers on these mystery islands?" Have you been thinking about this too? Because I know I have!
You guys have been suggesting some pretty good sounding villager hunt hacks/tips/tricks for finding better villagers and even dreamies AND of course some tricks we could use so we wouldn't see so many repeat villagers during villager hunts all the time.
So let's test these 'hacks' out and see what happens! Are we going to find ULTIMATE DREAMIES ONLY?
Obviously today we are villager hunting using these hacks. Let's hope my ultimate dreamie June comes home finally (I've spend way too many tickets looking for her)! 🤞

I understand that many people are aware of this already but the game's algorithm does NOT know who your dreamies are. They decide who you'll be getting by randomizing from one of the 35 species and then picking a random villager from that species, so villagers from species with less villagers in them such as octopus and cows. This means you're more likely to see Marina than Raymond since Marina's species, Octopus only has a total of 4 villagers, and Raymond's cat species has 22 villagers. The best way to get a specific villager by keeping this in mind is to get other villagers if that species, on your island so they are more likely to show up. Example. you'd normally have a 1/140 chance of finding Marina, (35 x 4) if you don't have any other octopus however let's say you also have Zucker, another villager of the octopus species then you'll have a 1/105 chance of finding her. I can verify this theory s true since I have both Norma and Tipper currently on my island who are both from the cow species which only consists of a total of 4 villagers in New Horizons, I consistently see Patty and Naomi on my villager hunts since they are the other two cows.

Tip to make villager hunting faster: drop off your ladder, then it wont spawn and island that you have to climb to see the villager

All I brought during my last hunt was a vaulting pole and Nook miles tickets, that’s really all you need lol. Unless your planning to catch some critters or harvest materials.
@Caitlyn Powell it does actually!!! If you don’t have a ladder the game code won’t spawn the campfire on the second tier in islands. Still def need the pole though.
I recently went dreamy hunting for Diana. I had the same kind of luck as you, but mine ran all the way to 148 tickets before I found her. When I did find her, funny funny, I reacted exactly the same as you did when you found June! Go figure!
Diana and Merengue appeared at my campsite. Both times, I had Chops and Olaf who wouldn’t move out for them. :((

@@burritoalt1610 I go to treasure Islands. You can get them there as many as will fit in your pocket. And you can make multiple trips. It's all free and you can get customization kits the same way.

Oh, my gosh! I spent 136 tickets looking for Fauna, so I decided to try clearing my cache and dropping all but 20 tickets And then Fauna was on my very next island! 😲 I feel like it must have been a coincidence, but I admit I'm going to be doing this every time I go on a hunt from now on. 🤣🤣🤣

I had one of the luckiest villager hunts ever when I was looking for Maple! I went to the airport and the first villager I found was Maple. It was crazy!
When you almost took Poncho, I was like, Nooooo if you found a cub you might find June too....So glad you decided to keep going! Yay June! I adore her, we have her and Pekoe on our family island and they are just the cutest! Congrats again on finally finding her!!! 🙂

Boots is underrated, at first went he came to my campsite I didn't want him, then I realized I had Dora on my island so I had to get him. While trying to get him to move I fell in love with his little smile 😌

OMG we're both Mila's!! I feel your joy finding one of your dreamies. When I was Cephalobot searching I made history finding him in like 3 tries and I've never been that lucky since 😂. He's my favorite boy even though him and Marshall have the same personality type. I definitely envy your ability to summon every cat villager in your search so I've got to try out these hacks when I get my Margie to leave 😆

Out of those "hacks" I definitely wear things that correspond with dreamies, and if I get really annoyed with a repeat villager I put out the flame 😂 I stick to 30 tickets at a time in my inventory, that's just for my sanity bc I always seem to have to go for long hunts no matter what 😆

I gotta say, the same hunt I give these tips and tricks a go I immediately find June sooo.... must be something to it! 😄 I also loved having less tickets just because it made it easier to stay on track how many I had spent so far haha! 😂

Yaaayyy! I'm so so happy for you! June comes home finally!🥰 I was in the process of inviting Marshal to my island via campite and when I checked the empty plot during my daily routine I saw that it got sold! I have time traveled forward and must have messed it up but when I saw who filled in the plot it was Fang! I got Marshal and Fang..😆🤗 I got Bam during my attempt to fill another plot with my 4 tickets. I was lucky for that whole 6 hours of playing... Also, I have to agree Nintendo need to add another at least 2 more plot so I can invite more cute villagers. My new added dreamie is Poncho... He's like Olive's brother or whatever.. hehehe..

When I was younger I thought Beardo was my husband on New Leaf. When I got New Horizons he was my campsite villager! I still send him flowers every Valentine’s Day, celebrate his birthday, and shower him with gifts! He has a special place in my heart for that

This is my list of dreamies: Eugene or Beardo (my husband’s name and my youngest’s nickname for his daddy), Kyle (my oldest son’s name), Nate (my middle son), Grizzly (our doggo), and Mr. Kitty (our only cat was named Kitty - RIP). All I need is a villager to be named James (my youngest son) and I’d have my entire family on my island! 😂😂

i’ll try doing these when i continue villager hunting ! right now my dreamies are chrissy or francine, ketchup, fauna, and raymond ! i’ve visited 11 mystery islands and i’m trying to save up a lot of nook miles, i can only afford around 5 tickers and i’m trying to get 20, wish me luck !

i usually villager hunt with 10 tickets at a time and have found some dreamies within those first 5-10 tickets! thats probably just pure luck but it works for me😂 plus im a little jealous that you came across poncho on your hunt, he’s my jock dreamie🥺💙 but im so happy and delighted you finally found June!!

Same! I usually just bring 10 ticks at a time with me (mostly cause I just don't have an insane amount of ticks lol) and I've come across Pekoe and Merengue in like 12ish ticks!

@@Cinnamilla I can’t believe it either. I was just thinking about what to comment when you found her!!! Was going to ask if you had tried campsite hunting before? You’ve probably heard of it but incase you haven’t it is basically where you time travel 7 days at a time until you get a camper and hopefully it is someone you want. If not keep going forward 7 days at a time. Apparently there is a higher rate of you getting a villager type that you don’t have on your island. So if you don’t have a lazy the odds are higher that lazys will come to the campsite. I tried it and got Raymond on my first go. Second time got Diana and third time got Bob. Raymond and Diana were at the first camper date I found but had to go through a few ugly villagers before I got to Bob. I also accidentally got a camper the other day as I time travelled three days to replenish my fruit. I actually got Blaire who is one of my dreamies so had to sacrifice Bob as I wasn’t actually looking for anyone. I reacted the same way you did when you saw June ☺️

@@Cinnamilla It can be time consuming when you find a villager you want at the campsite but they keep trying to replace your favourites. I liked Bob but he was my newest and I didn’t really search for him in the first place. Another thought I had was that he left just after you visited my island. I’ve had no other visitors so he may be in your move in queue! Risky with your auto fill luck though 🤣 I’ve also found that with the time travelling to get campers when you get back to your original date there is usually someone with a thought bubble asking to leave 😊

I actually found my ‘dreamie’ as my second ticket after unlocking villager 5 😂 my buddy Apollo showed up almost instantly and now I don’t have any goal villagers left aside from vague suggestions. I also really like Fang, but while looking for my 7th villager I believe, I found Wolfgang and decided to take him at least for now; my current cat/snooty is Kitty, I like her c:

I was villager hunting the other day on a long car ride and i scared my mom😭😂 i was beginning to lose hope because i only had 4 tickets left, then WHAM, lucky shows up(on my dreamie list) and i squealed. My mom was so confused so i had to proceed to explain the mechanics of villager hunting and why i was so excited about a mummy dog... like mom hes going to live in my graveyard you dont understand how exciting this is😫😭😂
They say once you see a villager on an island you'll never see them again... Then why do they pop up a few times for me then 😩😂
I've heard that it's not that you just have to talk to the villagers, you have to get to the "hm wouldn't it be cool if i moved" dialogue and say no. I'm gonna test it next villager hunt !! :)

Hey here is another trick,if you make both olliver and Wilbur before seeing the villager it might be a rare or cute villager. I did this 2 times 1st one i got merry my favorite cat villager and the second time i got my dream villager judy!!

Back when the game came out & we didn't really know the starting 3 we hunted were going to be a peppy, normal, & lazy, I just happened to be wearing the frog shirt because I ordered it & didn't have much else to wear & I found Wade early on while villager hunting for anyone really since I didn't know the villagers that well, I pretty much just knew the ones I had in New Leaf & that I wanted to have some different villagers to get to know others better. I love penguins, they're my second favorite right behind cats & seeing Wade, the cute little baby penguin wearing the same shirt as me, I had to take him so I did & 1 year later, he's still on my island. He's the first villager photo I earned & he's my favorite villager. Already the odds back when I found him were manipulated, I think I had already grabbed Tangy during that whole thing so I could only find a normal or a lazy so I can't say for certain my frog shirt summoned him but I took Wade home & he's still there. Debating letting him go eventually because he does have the starter house & I already have his photo but he brightens up my day every time I see him. Oh, congrats on finding June by the way.
That is awesome! I love that Wade is still on your island after one year (kinda my Deirdre is! She was my starter though) 🤗 There might really be something to wearing the outfit! I’ve also debated wether to let Deirdre go bc the house thing but I think it is so special that she’s been with me through this whole journey I don’t think I will.. hoping that Nintendo finally gives us a way to upgrade the starter homes 🤞😂
@@Cinnamilla Hoping they give us a way to upgrade them too, would be great if they were even better than what their actual house should be like a reward for keeping them on your island & treasuring them even though they had a garbage home. Wade deserves the best, I want to see him in a luxurious, expensive home. I'd want the same for your Deirdre.
Also like you said in the video, 2 more villager slots because I want Bob on my island too, purple is my favorite color, cat is my favorite animal (just barely besting penguin), & lazy is my favorite villager type but I'm happy with my current set nearly, just trying to get Marina to move so I can get a new cranky like Hopper or Tom since I don't have any crankies on my island. After that, everything is just about set, I'm holding Freya for a friend. I can't make the room for Bob, I have 2 lazies, Wade & Jeremiah, although I have Jeremiah's amiibo card, he's never leaving my island because he's so important that his face is my flag & he was the only one I knew I had to have back when I started but I had planned to trade some Pokemon cards for his amiibo card with a friend so I didn't need to hunt him. I have a loose Three Dog Night theme on the island, I put subtle references to their songs on it & Jeremiah is a call out to Joy to the World since the opening line is "Jeremiah was a bullfrog." I can't get rid of him to get Bob. If I were in your shoes & encountered Bob on a mystery island, I honestly don't know what I would of done because I don't have the heart to walk away from him. One of these days they need to give us 2 more villager slots & more dialogue too, this would make so many people happy.
My normal was merengue, lazy was papi and peppy was gabbi. I got my dreamie with merengue but she's long gone. Gave me 3 photos before she left so if any else wants one. I can give you one. Or whitney. Maybe kid cat...

There is always hope! I mean they gave us more design slots and no one thought that would ever happen (which obviously is so much easier than more villagers etc but still.. one can always dream!) Also it is sooo difficult to walk away from the cats since they're so rare too (I did that with Ankha and the second time I saw her I was like okay this is a sign from above I should take her) if I ever see Bob again I'm not sure what I'd do... I'd probably bring him, just to have him for awhile (like Sherb)!
@@Cinnamilla I honestly walked away from Sherb when I found him while hunting for my third island. Currently that island is going for a prehistoric theme so Sherb would clash too much with it but I found someone apart of my top 3 dreamies for the island just a couple islands later so it was worth walking away from Sherb for. I got Clay & his house matches exactly what I want for the island plus he looks the part, walking away from Sherb was the right choice for me but I still got pictures. As for Ankha, I couldn't do it, I grabbed her when I encountered her on my first/main island & haven't let her leave. My first island is slowly being filled with cats & penguins unintentionally, I just love the cats & penguins too much.

For my auto fills, I got Peanut, Roald, and Diana!! Also, I got sherb on two tickets my dreamieeeeee!! And I got kid cat on the first ticket, and Molly on the tenth! The catch is I had no tickets because I was poor then. Another trick is to try and jinx yourself, or just like pray super hard
my equivalent to T-Bone is Ruby. Not as bad but her ears keep tricking me into thinking she's Kid Cat 😭😭 and congrats on getting June!!!
Yey! You finally found her! I'm so happy for you. 😃 I didn't even realise that I was doing the 'less NMT' hack. I always take 10 with me because I collect the items from trees while I hunt. Maybe there is something to it. I just did a hunt and used 43 tickets, only 1 repeat. I didn't find who I was looking for (Dom or Kevin) but I decided to take Kiki home with me 🖤 thanks for showing how to clear cache, I'll try this next time I hunt 😊

Maybe there really is something to these tips & tricks, because the amount of repeats I saw was so much lower than usual (like come oon I saw T-Bone once 4 times!! that's crazy 😂) and this was 50 tickets with 2 repeats!! I'd say the cache thing is definitely worth a try & it's so easy to do anyway so why not 🤗

With the hack about wearing the same clothing, I think it only works with shirts, hoodies, ect and not dress up items like dresses and all that, because I met a villager (forgot who is was sorry) who was wearing the same simple parka as me a few times in the same hunt, but when I wore kabukis dress thingy I didn't find him, that might just be me though
Could be! I mean I just tested all the hacks this one time (plus the dress thing one time before but that was just 25 tickets so I dunno if it was a fair change) but who honestly knows if any of this works ~ but it's always good to try all the tricks to manifest your ultimate dreamie! Can't hurt! 😁

I'm so glad you found her. I dunno if it is the hacks. I didn't know of any of them until I watched this video. I usually don't have a ton of nook tickets and only have about 4 at a time. And honestly I usually only take the one that I need for the flight and leave the rest at home. Yesterday I found chabwick who is so cute! and today I found Marshal!! who I really wanted on my 3rd island. I did look at the plot of land earlier in the day. But that was it. Just no tickets and looking at the plot. Never cleared cache or did the outfit.
Taking around 4 tickets at a time *always* gives me better villagers lol
