How to defend against really fast players, that are also technical? More distance between them, try to pressure them more? Or should we try get close to them, and intercept the ball before they receive it? Because from personal experience, when I defend them with the ball, it's really hard to tackle or stop them. It's always a step away.
Personally What Has Made Me A Good Center Back My Anticipation. My Eyes Stick On The Person Who Will Make The Final Pass. Where His Go Mostly Is Where He Will Pass And I Try To Get To That Space Quicker Than The Forwards
Thank you coach for your defending tips, I am a defender more of 5&6 but I need more knowledge on how to keep offside on the pitch and I want my game to be more pro!
No problem I am glad you enjoy my channel! Offside line is critical certainly but also depends how your coach wants you to shape up for the offside line. I highly recommend you to watch some of my attacker or winger videos because in my opinion its crucial to learn how wingers or attackers think because then you can do the completely opposite and catch them off guard.
I play Cb and I'm the fastest of both the sides combined. I try to press but with patience . It helps me win most of the duels and win the ball back. However my only weakness is I fumble a lil under pressure while I'm playing a crucial pass or dribbling to move up ahead. Im outgrowing it gradually though. Any tips on that would be helpful. Thanks!
Fumbling under pressure is quite normal and only can be improved by playing more and more games! So basically experience but you can actually play simpler, take less risks and let your midfielder develop the game. Get used to this first and then more and more you play, rest will follow. So as a defender, dont put too much pressure on yourself for now.
When playing a back flat four usually there is two central defenders for one striker (#9). How do you decide who will mark the striker and when do you switch when he comes into or leaves your zone?
Nothing set in stone so you would have to communicate very well most likely. But It really depend whose side the striker coming to! Preferably I would want my CDM to deal with the striker if possible, If you have one so you mainly focus on your sweeping duty but again Its your job as a CB to talk to your CDM. If they skip pass your CDM it would be whoever is the nearest.
The best way to keep a clear head and stay calm during the not worry about what anybody else thinks on the pitch and remembering why you play football which is because you love football! You can check out my fear of losing the ball video as well as fear of shooting video where I touch base on this topic a little bit 🙏
I am a cb but i score more than my whole team bc I am a technical player in cb dont be scared of the ball dont think of the bad things and play completely better if u think of the good thoughts
More on: 1. Offside trap - when to do/when not to do - how to do 2. Long balls - when to pass - where to pass - how to pass 3. How to play with physical players 4. How to play with fast players 5. How to play low block
I am like not really fast but not slow maybe not fastest but pretty fast and sttrong too but my problem is confidence i have ball control and everthing but i fear taking ball
Honestly, As a center back too much confidence with the ball is not a good thing. So little bit of a fear would actually force you not to take too many risks as a center back. Too much confidence can damage you especially as a center back. So the best way to deal with this is to play as simple as possible. Avoid horizontal passes and aim for diagonal passes. Play many games to improve your confidence under pressure. As a center back, If you are receiving the ball too close to the opposition, you are doing something wrong so drop deeper and aim to receive the ball as far away as possible from the opposition so you are under lesser pressure.
Covering the spaces and gaps, ideally it is more important if you are always where you are supposed to be as a CB, you could either play the one goes up for a header or drop in behind like a sweeper. 2 CBs should never be flat.
Obviously you can’t be super short but I would say anything from 178cm to 195cm is ideal and weight is I think skinnier the better since being light will give you speed.
How do I defend when I’m the last defender and the opposition has an partner to pass to, because when I try to block him from passing to his teammate I give him space to go past me if not he’s going to pass to his partner
Thats a tough situation, you gotta focus on stalling them by giving them a bit more space but by improving your reaction time to turn, you would be better.
Also if you are having trouble with a specific player like the one you mentioned dont be ashamed to tell your partner that you need to be covered in that case if hes so quick to cut through you all you need to do is cover him in ❤

As a center back, that temptation of covering for your L/RB is something you need to resist. Always protect the middle.
@@blaklytstudios 100% agreed. The ones win against that temptation ends up being a good CB.

More center back role
How I mark a fast striker is that I am more physical I choose to not give hime space to turn at all
Exactly! Cover his space but also be patient 💪
More on CB
There will be more!
Some center back are technical
Yes some are but I am saying not as technical are most of the other positions
What if they are technical and faster
Usually gotta get tight and be aggressive
Was this filmed in Nanaimo?
Yess!
Cool! I also live on the island and have played on the turf many times!
Nicee!
I just get to nervous when someone pass a ball to me in defence because i think what i want to do and others are screaming pas s to me pass to mee 😢
Obviously you can’t pass it to everyone! So you need to know the right player to pass to most likely to the player who has the most space
Want part 2 ❤
Yes definitely part 2 will be coming out!!
I still struggle with fast players. I always keep a good amount of space but they always find a way to go past me.
Thats a tough situation, you gotta focus on stalling them by giving them a bit more space but by improving your reaction time to turn, you would be better.

My coach made me centerback haha
That’s alright! 👍
JESUS LOVES U GUYS REPENT AND BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL
Slowest and least technical? You’re kidding right ?
Mostly yes, compare to the other positions on the pitch but certainly there are exceptions.
Coach i am a defender but i always go up in the attack and score some times so should i play as a right/left back?
Are you fast enough to play fullback?
Ya
Yes I am
Then you should try because you might be more suitable for a fullback position.
Thanks
More of this to come, and I want u to train me.
