my first experience of Undercover was on iOS device, specifically my dad's old iPad. And then PSP which I did have and played back when I was a kid, and then the mainline version: PC when I got my first budget laptop computer and tried the X360 version when my dad bought me a modded Xbox 360. Never knew that Playstation 2, Nintendo Wii and DS versions exists at that time. I never cared how bad the game is as a whole but that's my nostalgic game right there and is my guilty pleasure after all. I rarely play Undercover to this day but amount of good mods made by the nfs modding community exists like Project Reformed, Undercover Exposed etc.
I only played it for about an hour or two, so I might not have played enough to judge it fairly, but I just thought it was a carbon copy of Carbon but worse in every way. But my biggest problem with it was the lighting. I recently tested the game because I'm selling all of my Xbox 360 games, and I immediately got a headache from the bloom and piss filter 💀. And I really didn't like the driving physics, which is usually the most important thing in a racing game to me. But I agree that there's nothing wrong with liking a game that most don't. I know that a lot of people don't like The Run, but it's one of my favorites anyway
I remember reading someone's comment about claiming to have seen a video detailing the production of undercover, he said that by the summer 2007 half of blackbox had left (likely out of frustration), so no wonder it all came out barely working, im sure they had some real heavy plans since the game was in devs' minds since 2003 (pretty sure they were inspired by f&f2) I will always adore the game for its atmosphere, despite the terrible graphics and filters it still has that sunset, end of the day, late 2000s vibe to it, its only more pronounced by its selection of garage music - micro people, indigo children and others and thats what blackbox did the absolute best - a distinct character no matter how much they recycle content their all games never feel alike, almost nothing like anything else
1:00:52 I think The Run started concept stage by 2008 and there is a billboard in one of the construction site mentioning 2011 (might a weird foreshadowing coincidence)

1:12:04 yea that's an unused female driver model in NFS Undercover and yea I get that it was supposed to be Chase Linh as a driver model but someone at Black Box goofed up making this preset BMW M6 driven by her, setting up to use a female driver but they did it for the player vehicle as well (or more exactly, the player's version of the same M6 where we deliver it to Chau Wu). @N4SVideos

As for other stuff, the PSP version has the free cop cars and they're only playable in the crew takeout missions, specifically after you take out the leaders like Hector, GMac etc, which makes more sense than in the other versions ngl, still not enough sese since you still take out the crew leaders with your own/garage car. Oh and the PSP version doesnt have any livery for the 911 GT2. It uses the gold-ish color found in the concept art for the bodykit, and it uses the BMW 5 spokes in black (which are also available for other cars in the game tbf. like the Rays 6 spokes or the watanabes, those rims are "unlicensed" and shaped weirdly). The tuned 911 GT2 cant be visually customized besides the window colors/tints, and very few performance upgrades. Every version of Undercover has specific songs in it. The HD version has the garage songs, the Paul Haslinger menu and cop themes, and Qba Libre for the races, but it lacks Electrotumbao by The Pinker Tones and Coalition by Tricky, as well as some Instrumentals, those are in the SD version, but that version lacks The Formula Of Fear (Matrix Dub/Remix) by Hybrid, 9000 Miles by Pendulum, and some of the garage songs are credited (but not in the game), and Mexican Radio by Kinky for some reason. The PSP version is interesting, because it has every racing song in it thats not in the HD version, such as Electrotumbao etc, and some Instrumentals of specifc songs like Diamond Life by Tyga (seriously where the hell is this song in streaming services, i need it), every Pendulum track besides 9000 miles (which I think was also instrumental but not labled as such), but it has one specifc song which is credited with the wrong name, that being Stompbox by The Qemists. In the PSP version its crediter as "2 Stompbox (Spor Remix)" despite it being the original song, not the remix (also, 2 Stompbox? I've never seen this name for this song anywhere else). The DS version is the most interesting one, because, despite having the least amount of licensed songs (besides the mobile port), it oddly has one of the garage songs from the HD ver. for this ver.'s menus, that being Mighty Micro People by Amon Tobin, and it has the lyrics version of Burning Fence by Asian Dub Foundation, while every other version has the Instrumental. Another odd thing is how every version of the game has a specifc villa/house in its map thats separate from everything else, like the race car driver's villa in the HD/SD version, or that one place in the PSP version where you steal the 911 GT2 cover car, even the DS has one (although I havent reached its mission yet). (i'm still playing trough the DS version, so if i'll find more interesting stuff i'll mention them here)
there's also mobile versions like iOS, Symbian, Java for Undercover etc. iOS, Windows Mobile version was developed by Ironmonkey Studio who later developed Shift 1, HP2010 and Shift 2 mobile version. But yea map is pretty much same and such. Just watch Retro iOS Gamer video that he played this game.
The Lexus is-f, the BMW m6 and the Bugatti veyron are the only three custom cars that have nitrous, while most of the cars that the player stole it do not have nitrous for some reason.

(2030 for Canadians)
Ahh i didn't realise that! Oh and this can apply to the Peugeot 206 in UG/UG2 (that alongside the Peugeot 106 that was exclusive to the JA/EU/GB versions of UG2) The point is, Black Box added cars that weren't sold in the NA market in their games (examples being the 04-06 Vauxhall/Holden Monaro, a British/Aussie muscle car known in the NA market as the Pontiac GTO in MW05 and Carbon and the Opel Corsa in UG2 EU/UK version)
41:34 I want to add one too. Chase shot the whole Chan Wu's team, but why didn't she kill us while she had the gun already? It would be easier for her if she killed
