Damn after all those years I still find you one of the best, brutally honest, and insightful watch guys.
My wife bought me a Cartier Tank for my 40th. It was pretty small on my 7.5” wrist, and I tried to pull it off, but never quite worked. Even she said it was small, so we exchanged it for (surprise) a medium Santos on bracelet. Been wearing it ever since, and we’re both happy. Maybe I should have kept the Tank, but it’s too much money to sit in a drawer.

White dial speedy is interesting. I'll never get one, but I think its a great release.
My wife bought me a watch for a birthday or Christmas, can’t recall which it was 20+ years ago. It was a quartz, fashion brand, but when I opened it, there was no sign of life. Took it back to the shop, they didn’t have another one, but something similar and I actually preferred it. Anyway, she’s never let me forget how her choice wasn’t good enough. My advice, keep quiet, say you’re saving it for special occasions, and store it away in a drawer.
If the watch was defective and there was no replacement, why was she upset?

I think the new speedy dial is lacquer, not porcelain. And, I love it ! It'll be around for a while so plenty of time to save up and let the hype die down

The ONLY time, other than the original one, that the Speedy made me turn my head and say “wow, I want some of that!!”

We're not buying mechanical watches for practicality, stainless or gold. If someone wants practical watches, they should stick to quartz. I have an Omega hesalite Speedy but that white dial with applied indices looks beautiful.
Partial Miss: The black white color combo won't give as many strap-monster combination options. The original looks good with almost any strap. They could have remedied it by giving it a steel bezel instead of a black one. That said, I'm glad we're getting some variation options.
If I own a white Speedy, I'll look for a strap that compliments the watch, not the other way around.
White dial speedy or cal 321?
I have worn a Rolex Datejust for over 40 years. I take it in the pool I take it in the ocean. it’s never given me a bit of a problem. They’re just great watches as long as you get them serviced when they need it. they are water resistant and pretty much indestructible

I know I’m on an island here. I owned a moonwatch and absolutely HATED winding it. I wish Omega would remone the crown guards. Beautiful watch and great pedigree, but regardless of its iteration, the crown guards ruin it for me. IMHO.

It’s cool that the Moonwatch still looks like the NASA watches, but the water rating should be booted up to 100 from 50 on modern watches, no reason to keep the WR rating the same, because hesalite makes historical sense but WR too?!🤔😏😊

39mm is a perfect size. Rolex made a huge mistake with that 41mm sub. They need to bring down the size to 40mm.
Non-sense. The 41mm actually wears a tiny bit smaller/more streamlined with narrower lugs as opposed to maxi case. I assume you’ve not had either the 40 or 41 submariner on your wrist?
@@KeepingWatchUKOur boutique can’t keep the maxi case Subs….sells out pretty fast. The 41mm sits around longer. Most Asian wrist size are on the smaller side and majority prefer the 40mm or even the BB58 at 39mm is much more in demand. Just remember, at a point mens common case size were 34mm and very fitting even for larger wrist size.
@@Thankyou_3At a point the horse & cart was the main mode of transport. Truth is, smaller watches suit smaller wrists, larger watches larger wrists. Agree, less than 7” 39mm or smaller looks great. Over 7” 39mm or larger looks best. The 41mm sub wears modestly on my 7.2” wrist tbh. And there’s barely a difference between the 41 and 40 Subs imho.
@@KeepingWatchUKthe oversized lug width and clasp makes the 41mm massive. I guess Rolex knows the world is struggling with obesity maybe that’s why they made the 41mm but regardless our boutique moves the maxi size much quicker. The Hulk and the Dateless is almost impossible to come by…

The lugs are thinner on the 41 & in terms of dial with I think there’s actually 0.3mm in it. The Hulk is popular because it’s discontinued.

Dunno why people are falling over on the white face Speedy, theres been the white dial reduced for a long time and probably better size for most people's wrists.
So,e moisture gets in the vintage watch and your movement could be destroyed beyond repair!
Not worth the risk.

Why don’t a lot of your videos actually correspond with the title? Your title is in reference ONLY to the white Speedmaster yet you go off on a tangent. I found myself fast forwarding the video to where you talk about the Speedy which I didn’t find it until roughly 6 minutes in … and even then, you only talked about it for a few seconds. Very odd.

Enough with the dam Speedmaster MW already. Why not reissue the Omega Seamaster big triangle. It's overkill with the Speedmaster. I used to want a Speedmaster but gotten completely sick of it. Omega is running that design into the ground. The cool factor the Speedmaster once had is gone. Speedmaster Speedmaster Speedmaster that's all Omega does. They should just call themselves Omega the Speedmaster company
