The music is SOOO fantastically anxiety inducing, how when the doctor in on the hunt, even if he isn't running after you, it has such a presence, no matter how far away you are it feels like he could be right behind you. I kinda wish I knew more about music so I could better understand why it was so scary
^ there's more to it and I'm sure someone else can explain it much better, but generally music in minor keys (rather than major keys) are what gives a piece a much more unsettling, haunting, or intense feel. The way the horns kind of pulse/swell together and how it echoes, and the fact that the arrangement is minimal/bare (notice the lack of percussion/woodwinds/strings/etc. that would round it out) makes it unsettling and creepy
As a pianist, I agree with Madison. Like to somebody like me who relies a lot on hearing when playing to see if I am hitting the wrong notes, minor keys just screw with me. I like it when you do lets plays of not-so-well-known games. Man I've been a diehard fan of Markiplier for 11 years. Your videos helped me through tough times in my life man, you really don't know how much you're loved by your fans. Your videos give some of us a chance to escape, kind of feels like watching a friend play a game, a familiar cheerful voice, a happy face, a friendly attitude. It gives people like me who have had to deal with family abuse my whole life a chance to feel something calming and soothing (even when you play horror games) its kind of soothing to put on these videos, gives me a chance to escape from arguments, fighting, abuse, gives me a chance to forget the fact that I have bone tumors and osteoporosis and a rod in my leg where it broke last year and cervical spinal stenosis in my neck, helps me think about something other than my spine bones closing around my spinal cord, and the fears of surgery. Gives me a chance to think about something else other than the cancer death of my parents and my crackhead abusive brother beating me and throwing me through windows and stealing my shit. Gives me a chance to think about something other than him having lung cancer and still feeling weird about being out of place in my own skin. When I watch your videos, I don't feel like a damn alien, or a stranger that gets yelled at who pays all the bills for an ingrate anymore. I feel like I'm a person again. I know that's a mouthful Mark, and probably mushy as hell. But I mean it dude, you give me something to look forward to other than my brother screaming at me and stealing all my shit all the time. Thank you Mark for spreading joy in this bleak world. I really, truly mean that from the bottom of my heart. I hope you keep doing let's plays for a long, long time. Brings me so much peace.
Even though I’m not experiencing the same struggles that you are, I’m also in a hard place right now, unemployed, with very little money, struggling with depression and not having enough money to take care of myself. I’ve also been a long time fan of Markiplier, since 2013, to be more specific. May your future bring you better days filled with heartwarming moments, peace, laughter, good company and strength to never give up whenever the hard days come by again. We’re going to make it, no matter what. Take care.
i am sure Markiplier would be glad to hear your words. i think knowing how much his videos mean for people in pain, would make him happy. he is that kind of guy. cares a lot about others.

💯 agree. I'm one of them, LoL 🤣
I mean how could you not want to laugh and get so scared you fall off your bed with that face!
Algorithm
I'd be stoked to see this become a full series, this seems really fascinating!
the sound design on that doctor is terrifying. even when i knew it was coming it mad me jump
Now I'm afraid of asian doctors.😱
I hope you find happiness and if you're struggling at home never forget there are places to look for help
I love how mark screamed even more while he was hiding in the stall because of whatever was coming out of the toilet 😂
Right???? Me af
I would defo love to see more of Mark playing this!
Don't you just love it when Markiplier
Y e s
Sure do bud
yup
It’s best when markiplier
ofc
this game is so well done, the music is so unsettling and the style is really captivating. i hope mark keeps playing this game because it’s probably my favorite indie horror game of all time
Love how Mark just keeps saying "wee woo" while the doctor is chasing him like he's some sort of scared ambulance
Just like the minions.
i'd like to assume he does it in reference to Patrick
you can tell this game is fantastic at being scary because Mark's quiet little 'oooo' at 13:26 made me jump and drop my food
You poor unfortunate soul
I don't think I've ever been as spooked as when the guy suddenly chased you the first time, I had lingering chills
Mark make more of this. Please! PLEASE!
Mark stealthing behind the mad doc a few inches away from him made me scream of fear in my pillow.
I've never seen a stealth sequence where you have to hide in such close corners!!
im genuinely proud of you for not feeling pressured to choose explorer mode.
enjoy the games you play
this is one of my all-time favorite horror games, i’m so ecstatic that he’s finally playing it
Its sad this genuinely scary and good game didn't get a second video but other games with a 1/10th of this game's talent get multiple videos and even a movie.
Iron Lung is actually scary and leaves many open possibilities that allows mark the creative freedom to direct a movie about it, which is what he was busy doing at the time this video came out…It wouldn’t make sense for him to make a movie about this game given his reasons to begin with.
That thumbnail is a work of art entirely and honestly should be framed 😢
Looks AI generated
I already printed it out,I will buy a frame tomorrow to frame it hehe
@@EEEEEEEEE
im so happy ppl like mark exist to play these games so we can watch them bc im too scared to even play the game by myself lmao
Tbh even while watching this I sometimes turn the audio low when tension gets high out of fear of a jumpscare lmfao
i also am just terrible at games so i would get stuck one checkpoint in and never get further
hey twin
I almost peed my pants just wanting the video 😭
Lil baby
i love how its always better to watch markiplier play horror games than actually playing them
edit:yall its been 2 hours and i got 1.7k likes
that goes for anybody for me, other than phasmophobia (which is my favorite game)
very true.
I know right?! I don't think I could play some of the stuff he does, but love watching him play all of them!
You have potential to take my place as top comment, may the best comment win🤣
@@Dont_Read_My_Picture bot
Love how without even really seeing the nurse and without her actually doing anything to you, she immediately becoms scary due to the intense music and the loud stomping.
You know the game is getting intense when Mark screams WEE WOO over and over.
WEE WOO WEE WOO OH GOD WEE WOO
reminds me of that one scene from Spongebob
@@untitled9895 yesss, same lol
Cant wait to see Mark play this one, such a great game
Same
True

I literally loved this game so much, the hype is so real to see mark finally playing it ❤
Agree
Genuinely terrifying. Full playthrough please!
This game is super interesting! I really hope you make a part 2 even though it's already been 7 months.
Id definitely love to see the rest of this game, the visual style is very unique
3:51 I could not have expected Dr. Randolph to abrubtly double back once, never mind twice
This game is terrifying from the start. Every time Dr. Randolph yelled "WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" I couldn't keep my voice quiet. Mark, please keep playing The Heilwald Loophole
This is way more stressful to watch than I was expecting. Watching horror games is usually a spook, but the atmosphere in this one really carries it.
Okay but please do continue this, this game is absolutely insane and i am Dying to know where in the actual hell it's going because this entire setup is Beyond intriguing and the atmosphere is a perfect blend of uncomfortable and straight up captivating
As a passionate collector and lover of art, I have to say that that thumbnail is something I'd get excited at like a little kid if it were in my art room.
I’ve practically been obsessed with this game for several months now and it’s absolutely incredible to see Mark playing it! It deserves so much more attention, and is an entirely underrated game!
man his was genuinely one of the most fear inducing games ive seen for a while, the suspense had me at the end of my seat
Would love a full playthrough of this Mark!
Lixian is the best editor, we don’t always see him, but he’s always there. Watching. Waiting. *Lixian-ing.*
This is probably one of the best comments I’ve ever seen on a Markiplier video
@@Red_Ruby_Kitsunethanks :)
Begging for attention
@@KiwiHavok777 me? Or the bot? The bot I can agree with
SAY IT AINT SO, I WILL NOT GO, TURN THE LIGHTS OUT AND CARRY ME HOME NANANANANA
I would love to see this game as a series!! Really hope you keep playing
He needs to keep going on this one, looks fun.
15:50 “It’s a plug?” My first thought was that someone taped a hamburger to the wall, but I guess a plug makes more sense?
I had exactly the name thought! 😅😂
That steam review talking about how the game melds different experiences together was really accurate. It's equally funny and terrifying that the dr chases you.
I grew up with this man. I came back just to see what was up. He still racks in millions or views!
Mark is truly timeless. I don’t know who is watching him because he doesn’t seem to be as big of a figure but he in no way has fell off. Damm.
He's even made large projects and has a movie coming out soonish. Check out heist with markiplier (an older but still fun project) and also in space with markiplier (newer project and also real fun).
Most people are probably aware of these, but I figured I'd clue you and anyone else reading in on the fun if they're unaware.
I hope this game gets more attention from this vid. A seriously underrated gem.
It did all last year.
Even john Wolfe reviewed it.
@@nehemiahpouncey3607 who is John Wolfe?

He does stuff just like markplier but
Similar.
Check him out when you got some time.
I LOVE THAT YOUR PLAYING THIS! This is one of my favorite indie horror games of all time!
Absolutely love how the sound was done in this!
genuinely hope Mark picks this up again
Mark: I’m sick so I didn’t do such a good job.
Fans: It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve seen yet.
I hope mark gets back to making longer videos soon, I miss it. Usually it helps me get through the boring days and makes life a little less lonely. It keeps my mind off of bad stuff, same with distractible but I’ve listened to all of those too.
Hopefully this game becomes something he makes a series on so your wish comes true
Nurse Anne just slams those doors open as Mark follows her... Lol... Always fun watching him play!
Omg please!! You need to make a serie on this game! It is so captivating, the concept, the sounds, the look. OMG PLEASE PLEASE MARK, IT'S BEEN 5 MONTHS 😩
