My guess is that Cynte, the protagonist, injected himself with the parasite to give himself the “godlike” powers he described, hence why he can survive having 3 of his limbs torn off.
I was skeptical seeing him somehow keep going with most of his limbs ripped off, but with Cynte's cynical personality I'm now convinced he's just running on pure *indignation*

He really isn’t that good. He needs to be more careful with his movement and managing his resources.
This is such a creative and perfectly horror-filled game, you start off completely confused, scared, and then horrified when you realize what just happened - but as soon as you gain a weapon after facing a few monsters you get confident, but the fear induced by needing to stop moving to shoot and needing to reload bullets individually is the perfect horror - who needs a jumpscare when you hear a the terrifying empty *click* when about to shoot into a writing mass of horrors shambling towards you - and the parasite-heath-bar-thing really effectively scares you into keeping you on edge

That's ironic, any other person in this condition would simply bleed to death, since it's impossible to cauterize such injuries with a mere cloth iron. But before that they would scream in agony.
Looks like this parasite, while was going to finish him off eventually, allowed him to stay alive and perform all of this.

Imagine being one of those monsters, just chilling, eating one of the researchers you just killed. Then from out of nowhere, this one-limbed man blitz at you with a revolver in hand. Before you could even react, he downs you in mere seconds with rapid-fire shots. Just as the light fades from your eyes, you witness this man reload this 6-chamber revolver within just as much time, all with one hand. At that point, who is the real monster?
Don't forget that he got a parasite in his @ss. More to say he is in a bit of a hurry
Game: Tries to go deep into the lore about the parasites.
Markiplier: Is more concerned on wondering why the player manages to hold the weight of the gun without having any limbs.
I mean, I think I'd be more concerned about that too.
People with 4 limbs can barely carry two firearms, meanwhile this dude's firin a sawed off with little to no recoil.

I love that the entire game is 2D, except for when bullet casings or cartridges are unloaded-and those animations are so SMOOTH.
Still looks 2D to me. It could be a super low poly 3D model though, but unless a dev says or files are ripped, can't really tell. Doesn't really looks like animations either for the casings falling. Just a bit of physics applied on it so they fall.
Imagine how powerful Cynte would be with all his limbs.

This is actually historically accurate. Drawing and quartering was actually the most risky of execution methods. If there was an accident in the process that left the prisoner with a single arm, then they would become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.

I'm honestly super impressed by how simple yet complex this game is. Not going to lie my jaw dropped when I saw the reload system. It blows me away that I haven't seen anything really like that.

This game looks so simple but it captivated my attention entirely. Almost fifty minutes I binge watched a 2d gray dude crawl around with one arm and shoot also 2d gray dudes but fuzzier. I did not expect that but I hope to see more of this game!

Cynte reminds me of John from FAITH. A strong conviction to finish something that the player doesn’t even know yet. He has the determination required to cauterize his wounds by himself, drag himself through the lab, and exterminate any monster that crosses his path.
I saw John and immediately thought John from the Magnus Archives and was like "Oh yeah I can totally see that" then I saw FAITH which I know nothing about and now I'm sad.

I remember hearing about this game some months ago when the creator of it made a video. Glad to see his efforts has become noticed by someone on the level of Markiplier, he worked hard for it.

"Carrion" or "carry - on" is a mutation game about a parasite that escapes its shackles and kills the whole facility spreading its infection everywhere.
Cynte's power level with one arm is wild, don't know how they caught him lacking like that

As someone with ADHD I find it absolutely fascinating how Mark "immediately gets worse" when he has the shotgun, because I find myself doing the same thing with multitasking in my day to day life! Like I can get really good at doing dishes - at my old job I was frequently put on dish duty simply because I would hyper focus and end up knocking out in 30 minutes what it would take hours for others to do. However the second I also have to do another thing - for instance, laundry - I am immediately so much worse at getting both of them done. Anyways, I just thought that was interesting, have a nice day :)

It's rare these days to see a new concept in a video game and while the individual components of this one aren't new the combination of the click and drag movement mechanic, the having to manually draw and reload your gun and actively having to jab a needle into the terrifying brain parasite fighting to take over your body really make for what I consider a unique experience!
Yeah, like it’s quite a simple premise with simple mechanics, but the execution looks really really good. I think it’s hard to get the right balance between challenging and tedious, but the creator definitely got it right
