Agreed. Took an absolute beating. Changing all the control arms to RPM brand is a must. Once that is done this thing is nearly indestructible. And for $300 is an absolute bargain.
Stempy needs his own channel if he doesn't already. True torture testing with him at the controls. Lol.

I underestimated my speed in a parking lot, and my MT-10 went full speed at about 35-40mph into a curb. It rolled right away, not a single broken part. I was absolutely baffled, because if I sneeze the wrong way, my Kraton 6s bends a shock tower.

I absolutely hate the way you treat your rc cars, but I can't help watching you do it. I'm honestly glad you do what you do. I always know if there are any potential weak points, you'll find'em. Great vids.
That's why he treats them the way he does. So we as consumers know for sure what to expect.

I own this car and have to say I agree it’s the toughest I’ve had. I don’t have the Kraton yet, but I have the E-Revo, Maxx, Dementor, Kaiju, Vorteks, Felony, LMT, Madvan, Typhon 6s and a handful of lesser name brands. This Rival is always a solid choice and does everything really well, while being SO F’n TOUGH!!!

Perfect car for a kid learning or anyone getting started in rc because the worst thing is trying to learn and breaking parts.also whats up with getting an mt8 im really interested to see how good the metal chassis is.great video you da man.
When I first got into RC I was racing a spec class and it was fun and the cars we’re indestructible. Bashers weren’t really a thing then. Then I switched to 1/12 pan car, it was basically a job keeping that thing running, broke it prolly 3/4 of the races. Being able to use it constantly is waaaaay better than waiting for the parts to fix it.
On 3s these will do over 40mph. I'd turn it down for the kids a little.
That thing is tough as nails. 🔥 If ya reinforced the body I think it would prevent a lot of the damage it sustained. Losi and Team Associated have always been my 2 favorite RC companies. Kev needs a MC8 now huh 🤔
back in the day when i raced buggies, Losi and Associated made up the vast majority of the field. They performed very well, were affordable and durable, great companies.
If he has ANY redcat, he already has an MT8. The MT8 was a large letdown in that it was supposed to improve upon this little monster(MT10). However it replicated the Kaiju and has no stability on 6S. Let down, don't waste your time Kev.

I would like to see you test and rate the r/c cars and trucks available at Walmart for the people that can't afford the more expensive cars but want to have fun.
why buy from there when you can get pretty decent cars from china for under 100$ that are hobby grade ?
I work for Walmart, and from what I understand, there are Walmarts in the UK.
Do they even sell any hobby grade ones ? And at what prices?
After a year of owning mine, aside from the stock a arms and servo breaking I've noticed the bearings aren't the greatest but other than that it's a tank!!! I got the 4s max 10 and a 4s 2650kv castle motor in mine and it's nuts lol haven't even tried it on 4s yet lol waiting to find a metal spur gear before that lol
This video just might get some attention from the rc aftermarket. Somebody's gonna make a metal spur gear and it's gonna sell.

Cheap is what you compare it too. And it's cheaper than the Arrmas and Xmaxx's and other "top end" rc cars. Just like a Seiko watch is cheap when compared to a Rolex.

Only recently got into TA & now have a 14b buggy & the Trophy Rat. Blimey! Amazing cars & so under -rated! Not Kev proof, but both have amazing handling & are at the top of usage n my 30 car fleet. The Rat did an amazing flip last week in a traction roll when I pushed it too hard & didn't even scuff the body & landed on its wheels. Get some! :)
I started with Arrma 3s cars and broke all 5 of them in 3 months. My Rival MT10 is still going after 6 months. Tuff as F.

Bought this when it released a couple years ago. Drove it constantly and had about $50 bucks into it before I sold it last month. Awesome truck, tough and keeps up with the 8th scale rigs.

You need to build a car with no body, no body post and big tires that can keep driving when you flip it. I did it and it a lot of fun. Just remember everything is backwards when it upside down lol!

I have yet a Rogue Terra from Hobbytech. For my son I bought a WlToys 104018 but is broked. Now I have a Coupon. I'm undecided if buy again wltoys rc...but the model 104019 or consider the Hosim X07W or X08. The price is so similar.

The amount of abuse these things take is unreal. Considering some of that damage was because the body was off too. All the more expensive brands could learn something froms this video!!!

Always loved anything I got that was team associated. 2wd 10th scale short course truck went full speed into a concrete parking block, anything else I would have been picking up in pieces....it popped the battery out, that was it. I got it used and beat the crap out of it for years. They got their plastics on point when a plastic geared trans can withstand 4800kv on 3s for several years in a row

Does he even understand the physics of the rc car, when throttle it goes backflip and brakes it moves forward? I'm surprised how bad his understanding is of the the RC, taking in to account how much he's driving your cars :D
I'm actually going to look into this brand because of this video so thank you. I will say I did pick up a super cheap hobby RC it's four wheel drive has steel axles on all four wheels and a steel drive shaft in the center I don't know the specs on the electric motor but I do know it has one of those heat sink things on the top it's a brushless motor as well. Fully adjustable suspension and you all will never believe that I only paid $65 with shipping got the truck to 7.4 volt 1800 milliamp batteries with two chargers and they give you two covers or skins whichever way you prefer to say it with the truck so a total of 65 bucks I have a four wheel drive truck that can handle any abuse I throw at it and it kind of kills me that I haven't seen any of these major RC channels do a review on it I understand probably because it's not on their radar of trucks because of how cheap it is but I really want someone to give it a damn chance I literally drove this truck off my back porch which is two stories and it had no problem kept on driving. so Kevin Talbot what do you think why don't you try to pick up a DeeRC truck and doing a review on it because yes the truck that you have in this video isn't super expensive and it does great but for some of us fathers of three kids and a wife who would love to be able to afford that can't so that's why I'm pushing the DRC so much it's cheap as hell and you can bash it and the parts on it for the price aren't that bad of quality in your eyes maybe they are but into someone like me who's a beginner in the RC world I love this truck through and through
