Its crazy when you think about how far ahead this bike is compared to other rc bikes. Seriously impressive tech and build quality. No doubt one of the best rc released lately.
I have the old Ricky Carmichael dirt bike, It doesn't come anywhere close to this bike other than looks, I'd love to upgrade it with these electronics...
Best part of this video: 11:59 Losis gyro freaking out 😂😂. What happens at 13:16 is downright amazing! I am in full awe about what this bike can handle 😮.
What a lovely bunch of coconuts all those upgrades are! Looks like a learning curve to figure out how to really drive it, sort of an acquired groove to be attained.
20ish years ago when the Savage first came out I built one entirely out of billet aluminum, Kevin's right! That thing weighed 31lbs and cost over $3000 to build 😂🤦 I only drove it once and then shelved it because I didn't want it to get scratched 😣 NEVER AGAIN!! Sweet video Kevin I sent this one to all my mates 👍
i did the same with a Losi Muggy, whole damn thing was aluminum and it bent something every time it crashed or it would cook a clutch because it was so heavy.
i spent AU600 on a thundertiger or whatever it was. another 200 or so on a decent Os engine... then once i figured them out... was hooked. bits of fibreglass for main chassis, molds for casting rubber wheels, twin front discs, tuned pipes... probably spent $10K over the years but enjoyed every minute of it! whereas these kit things with gyroscopes and bling just have no appeal to me. i prefer to rely on geometry, proper frame design, and skill... bikes are in a league of their own, the only RC vehicle that actually scales down without looking... stupid? cars never corner to "scale". planes and helis need compromises regards aero... but bikes always have to have the correct geometry or they simply dont work.
I absolutely fell in love with these the first time I saw your video Kevin. As a ex semi-pro racer whos career was cut short after a spinal cord injury at age 20 many years ago who can't ride anymore this would allow me to at least relive some memories through this RC dirt bike and rip around mimicking years past. Unfortunately life's a wreck and without airing out my life story just can't afford one anytime soon but hopeful one day can and upgrade it just as I did my real bikes. Thanks Kevin 👊
I completely agree! Thankfully my back injury was simply fractured vertebrae’s and I was an intermediate racer but I can relate to you in being able to enjoy these bikes without the pain of feeling the crashes. Hope you have healed up well and continue to.
ahahahaha arrrr kev I was PMSL at that bit 2:45 where the driver figure has to "take" an enormous "something" right up his back door!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Hilarious!!!🤣🤣
Soooo, if you go off a jump and hit the wheelie mode to initiate the rotation, then floor it with the "keep down" to bring it around, (maybe quick toggle for more than one)... Maybe... Just maybe.......... BACKFLIPS!?!? No clue but man this thing looks really amazing!
Glad to see you’re still going strong! Been awhile since I watched your video, but happy to see you’re still the same old Kev! Also nothin quite like seeing beautifully machined aluminum parts coming together on a great model!
Green! Fully GPM’d out. Some vitavon too. Absolute blast! No noticeable negative going all aluminum. Haven’t broken anything yet. I beat the crap out of it too
Hey Kevin been watching you since you did those spark drift tire wheels video and you just continue to amaze me with all the effort you put in to these videos truly keep up all your great work and it’s crazy that you have a monster truck I remember just the cage 😂 love ya kev and so do all ur fans❤
2 of these have survived a Talbot video, well done Losi! In fact one has survived 2 videos. Upgrades look great, maybe they affected wheely mode a bit though? Miles out of my price range, and I can’t be playing with toys at my age lol, so glad Kev got them. Great job 👍👍👍
Love your channel! Have you done a video series about all the unique tools you use to work on an tear down your Hobby vehicles? It would be very educational and helpful to the newbies!!!
I think when you do things like this you risk accidentally removing deliberately engineered weak points that are meant to protect more expensive bits (like the metal chassis). It looks sick but a massive impact now risks bending/ripping out fixings in the chassis.
I accidentally did that to my chinese amazon 4x4 buggy lol cracked the tub right where the lower control arms mount into the frame on the first crash after installing the parts.
The slides in the end of the video are so cool. These drifts are so cool and the way how it handles are so cool. Very stylish bike. I am impressed of how they made this bike.
WoW kev what a nice lil bike you have build there 💪🏼 I hope the 6s vid will drop soon. The weather is not good for filming at the moment. Thank you for your sacrifice 😸
The amount of skill kev has with working on rc's is insane. I would have never figured out how to put that whole bike back together. It would have took me like a week to figure it out at least.
@@KevinTalbotTVhaha you do make me laugh acting like you have no clue but you know you stuff man. Was you a mechanic at 1 point? You know so much shit 😂😂😂👍🏼
I always love you videos Kevin! Like always you didn't outstanding job at capturing every moment of upgrading this awesome bike! Nice job Definitely need to get one of these ✌️😉
Green one is my favorite and that's the one I got months ago. Every time I drive it puts a smile on my face! Great video, I thought it would be heavier too!
It’s pretty crazy how many cnc parts were available when it debuted. I bought the first batch, and I totaled up $1175 in accessories, and it’s only grown. So far, I’ve got a swingarm, that’s it. It just doesn’t break. I’ve bashed at skateparks, and street, and I’ve only replaced a reciever.
Kevin To be totally straight with you this was The Absolute BEST show of upgrading this bike And I remember when you first worked on it dealing with the spring perch like swing arm in the middle of the bike This show shows you working on it like your lacing your shoes💯🤩🤩🤤 Makes me want one just watching you work on it Like it’s not as hard as some make it look 😁😏 Thanks man a bunch

Come on, drive it. Don’t shelf-queen it. Life is too short for that.
I've bought a few 2k aluminum savages on craigslist/offer up over the years, each one was like $350 lol

I used to ride semipro for Team Yamaha when I was younger so I'm a little partial to the blue version, they all look great 👍🏻
Love the blue! I can’t imagine (me!) reassembling that thing with all the upgrades and have it actually work!
WOW! That blue stuff looks awesome. I'll be upgrading mine a little by spring.

Looking at that rider being put on reminded me of mr garrisons mono wheel from South Park 😂 . Epic build!
😂😂😂😂
Best RC release of the year in my opinion, possibly ever! 💯

bro that rc dirt bike is sick
That's the most pimp daddy Losi MX bike in the world I'm sure looks great ❤
Loved the drifting and how it stays upright the whole time.
950 upgrade 😳 Thats more than it cost new 😂 Thats insane but very awesome upgrades 🔥
It is insane. Aluminium is by no means à priori better quality than modern plastics. (It is from Losi, not tamiya.)
Cutting into every sticker pack as you opened the packages is wild 🤣
That looks to me like a HUGE load of work😂🤐 even a full rebuild on a x-maxx would be easyer 😅
Great vid non the less! Love it❤❤❤
