    Do you have any less obvious changes that you would love to see in Guild Wars 2?

    • @taginn790

      For sound FX: Druid staff 1 (sounds like a sonar ping - why?), ele scepter1 (gets very annoying over time).
      LFG clunkiness (ok, maybe that's in the 'obvious' category)
      Hero>Equipment: expand filter choice 'Weapon' to specific weapon types
      Wardrobe & Dyes need to be in the same window (i.e., toggle lefthand section between wardrobe choices view & dye choices view, while character stays same on righthand section.)
      Hero>Achievements: add text that says 'Title:' above your title, and make Title dropdown black instead of vaguely same color as background with its vague dropdown button.
      Chat window: text color choices options; beep options different text types (e.g., squad msgs); font choices
      Camera: stop zooming in when I get off of a mount, etc.!! Instead, remember the camera distance I had before mounting, or at least choose a mid-range distance.

    This isn't really obscure, but I would like Anet to add actual wardrobe presets/templates. Honestly, I'm surprised they haven't added them in sooner, they would make a killing if they add extra wardrobe template slots on the gem store.

    I really do want custom keybinds for each character. I don't want my ultimate always bound to the same key, for example.

    • @MasterOfNoneGaming
      @MasterOfNoneGaming  3 года назад +1

      I never thought about this. I think I just never needed it in GW2 because all classes have the same amount of skill on the left and right (not counting the f-skill) but now that you mentioned it, I remember having slightly different keybinds per charactere in WoW for example. Anything that lets you customize your experience more, I'm all for it.

  • @WolfsFriend42

    It is much better to have many bags that do stack than it is to have even more items that do not stack in your inventory. But if you wish to have to deal with your inventory even more often then that is your choice.

    • @MasterOfNoneGaming
      @MasterOfNoneGaming  3 года назад

      Is it though?
      We already got unidentified gear and I'm talking here about the "babushka-bags" that are bags within bags. Also I think it's definitely time to go over the amount of different bags that exist.
      I'm not saying I don't want any bags at all. I'm just saying that there would be better ways to deal with it (like unidentified gear that's already in the game).

  • @asoled2970
    @asoled2970 3 года назад +2

    Also, they should add a race change thing....

  • @GrumpyCouchPotato
    @GrumpyCouchPotato 3 года назад +1

    There are many small changes id like them to implement/update in the game(some annoying like the sound, others for quality of life like a transmutation wardrobe/template thingy). But what i wish the most is to play a meta event with char model limit and quality at highest at 50+ fps... Basically , fix the engine. DX11 is a good step forward.
    Also, give more freedom for addons. Arc DPS is nice and all but the mount wheel radial makes swamping mounts/tonics/toys/placing markers, sooo much easier. This is one thing they can learn from WoW(one of very very few things, ignore most of the rest), give more freedom for addons and if something really good is introduced by an addon, add it to the game, or at least an option to toggle it on/off.

  • @Forgotten_Moon

    0:58 I thought it is the way that they try to solve the inventory problem tho@@ Bc in the past those blue/green items can't be stacked so players always have to salvage them in the middle of playing. Now it makes you only need to salvage them after playing. But I hope they can allow those bags to become not lvl80 loot limited. It would be perfect if the loot level could change along with the level of my characters who open them.

    • @MasterOfNoneGaming
      @MasterOfNoneGaming  3 года назад +1

      Yes I think the unidentified gear is a good change I just don't like the champion bags and 70 other bag types anymore. Back when that update came out it made sense and it was fun to farm champions in Frostgorge Sound to try to get those new skins but I think it's gotten worse and more convoluted over the years.

    1- I would love for us to save our graphic settings as a drop down preset like we currently have but with our own custom ones so when I swap between content (instanced pve, open world, wvw, pvp etc) I can just select my custom made preset in the list instead of having to manually change each option that would suit the gameplay more. I also dislike the bloom baked in post processing so I’m on board with you for that 💯
    Maybe push this even further by making full blown custom options profiles beyond just graphical settings. Though not as important to me.
    2- Having build templates separated per game mode (especially pvp)! I don’t have enough space between my multiple pve and wvw builds to on top of it have my multiple pvp builds. It’s very frustrating to the point I end up swapping to an alt of the class and make that one my pvp character and I don’t really like that. This isn’t something I would expect them to do but I do wish it was like this.
    3- Legendary Armory added supplementary as part of a new tab at your bank working similarly to the vault so you can keep track of what legendaries you have or don’t.
    4- Incorporate the GW2Radial addon as part of the game officially. At this point I cannot play without it anymore. I have small hands and already too many keybinds to deal with that trying to swap between mounts is really problematic to me without the 1 keybind wheel selection option that this addon provide. Truly a must have in my opinion.
    5- A complete overhaul of the achievements tab and easier sorting of them. I would make all daily categories and the login calendar part of their own specific « Daily » tab instead of paired with the rest of achievements. And also remove the achievements rewards small panel and make another new tab for account bonuses.
    6- Rework the character select screen to be a grid system with a search bar. Also add a bit more info to each character upon hovering cursor on their icon. Things like next birthday present/age/deaths.
    7- Let us permanently track specific dailies like let’s say I always choose my WvW dailies and mystic forger, I want to be able to have those always be selected as the recommended daily for me to do on that day and show up on the login screen so I know before I select my character what there is to do for dailies today. I just think that would be neat.
    8- Ameliorate the friends list and blocking system. A blocked person should never be able to see where I am in the game or whether I am online or not. They should never be able to send me party invites or join my party. No guild invites either. Basically I should stop existing to them besides being able to see my character model. I’ve had direct expériences more than once of problematic stalkers who did not stop at getting blocked and people who haven’t experienced someone being obsessed over you often fail to see how the blocking system only stops the person from directly messaging you through whispers or mail. These people can still stalk and harass you while you play and Anet does not provide proper protection against these individuals.
    As for the friensdlist, I would like to add an option to shoutout throughout my whole friendslist. An example of usage: I’m wanting to form a party for fractals and would like to see if anyone from my friendslist would be interested in joining. Less of a hassle to ask everyone individually and keep track of multiple whispers at once.

    I completely agree with you on the sound one, I HATE some weapon or skill effects, it either sounds weak/irrelevant or completely unrelated, I compared it for example with Final fantasy (not only 14 but even previous games) FF14 skills sounds beautiful, deadly strong and cool! I think the best IMO is the cristal/ice shattering effect, just imagine that in Elementalist water skills or when reaper uses its elite and the cc ends it would be awesome. But I really don't think ANET will pay attention to that. just watch the FF14 ENDWALKER Job Actions trailer is delightful!

  • @Madd_Jack
    @Madd_Jack 3 года назад

    I would also love to see overhaul of some older things in the game. Like base game dungeons, reasons to go back to older maps like the leyline guy and world events. Skins specific to lower world events. etc. Plus a few pointers to help a new player get going. A new players first impression of GW2 is going to be of the core game unless they lvl 80 boost (what fun is that). And often times I see new players asking questions, or get generally confused as what they should be doing.
    ps. that revenant attack sound is pretty annoying. Maybe add some variation in there and dial it back a little.

    • @MasterOfNoneGaming

    I really need them to allow me to change the soundtrack. Some soundtracks really drive me crazy such as Dragonstorm and Drakkar. Although I know I can replace part of soundtracks like city, combat but it is not what I want. I want I can change the specific soundtrack, not general areas.

    • @MasterOfNoneGaming
      @MasterOfNoneGaming  3 года назад

      At the end of the day, sound effects are going to be a preference thing but I really dislike how there is no variation in the sound. It makes it super repetitive (if you compare it to other attack chains there usually is some variation in there, e. g. dagger on necromancer). On top of that it sounds way too "boomie" for me, as if it is not eq'ed properly.

    • @keithcraig506
      @keithcraig506 3 года назад

      As was mentioned in another comment, the loot bags are meant to reduce inventory clutter. Say you run a bunch of events, kill a bunch of mobs and / or take down a few world bosses. At the end you can either have about a half dozen stacks of loot bags / unidentified gear in your inventory or 30+ random items which don't stack cluttering up your inventory.
      Personally, I'll take the loot bags over having to constantly stop playing because I have to manage my inventory.

    • @MasterOfNoneGaming
      @MasterOfNoneGaming  3 года назад +1

      I can agree with you on a general level. However, I do think they can drastically reduce the amount of different bags/containers you get from one event and minimise the amount of clicks necessary to clean up later. As an example, having a container that then contains a champ bag which then turns into unidentified gear and a little bag with mats is a bit ridiculous to me.
