    "I resurrect every morning when I get out of bed and then they put me back in my coffin at night."

    Field Songs is a really cool album.
    Mark Lanegan fans can appreciate the diversity of his anthology.
    Each album of his has its own unique and different feel to it. I think that's because he has collaborated with so many different musicians over the years.

      The interviewer had to explain many things about Mark's carreer because he wasn't well known at that time in Italy. This is why the interview sounds so boring.

      I know, I'm italian. Nonetheless the interviewer has always been embarassing with artists like most veejays are.

      There has been no official word from his family or wife as to the cause of death. It may never be released as it seems those were Mark's wishes. Read page 24 of Devil in a Coma and how he did not want his business put out in the world.

    Such a shame so much of his life was wasted in drugs. Could you imagine what Mark could have done had he sobered up sooner?

    • @jetcheneau5811
      @jetcheneau5811 Год назад +2

      Of course. But hell, he gave us a Lot even while battling his demons. Like, Lanegan's entire recorded portfolio is impressively huge by any musician's standard. There are musicians who've been around twice as long as he was and who hardly put anything out. Lanegan lived for it.
      It's always sad when someone battles the disease of addiction and mental illness, but he was such a beautiful man nonetheless. He gave us more than we could have ever asked for and I think we should all be nothing less than incredibly thankful that we got to live amongst his voice.

    • @kantina4765
      @kantina4765 11 месяцев назад +2

      i think it's likely he wouldn't have had nearly as much drive to write interesting music had he not battled with these things. an awful lot of my favourite art, be it happy or sad in tone, is created by people who have suffered in some way in their lives. id go as far as to say the sobered up, rich and famous versions of a lot of bands tend to produce less compelling music.
      Imagine a mark lanegan who never had a reason to write one one way street.
