Bots play a big part in the internet. The algorithm is a bot. The biggest demand right now for Major Companies is coders & developers who can create bots for faster transactions and data processing. Spotify Owner Daniel Elks was a coder/hacker. All music artist who push their music online will be streamed by a bot or bots through out their music career.
The MOST Important thing is for ALL YOUR “STUFF” TO MATCH!!!
Example: If you have 1M+ followers you should have sold out shows ,merch sales, comments, views , likes be trending etc (bots or not)
I think this is artificially raising the bar and in the long run will make it harder for artists with no industry connections to start from the ground

For me, I just think the bot situation allows artists to avoid putting in the ground-level work to build a fan base.

My new song KIMIYA got 150,000 views - I have no idea what happened but I didn’t use any bots and got added to a shit ton of playlists - I know all about the bots tho and have done stuff like that maybe long ago but I think you can really grow organically - I also have a video on bots called Dark Truth about Spotify. Bots are a necessary evil. Sometimes if the social media companies would show your Contant to the people that follow you, there would really be no need for bots, but the social media companies created this culture.

Nope, like fb algorithms have been altered many times to shrink the outreach of posts so to make you buy ads.
But streaming bots are important to give you the appearance of demand aka success. No demand - no success. No budgets.
Organic, keep it real, keep it 100, authentic, truthful and honest. For whatever reason, artists who use bots are none of these things, they are liars, deceivers, cheaters, fake.

Interesting convo, glad to hear your perspective and views. I see that bots do have a purpose, but you shouldn't solely rely on them. It hurts artists with like 20K-40K followers on da gram but barely get 100 views or likes on a post lol. Helloyassine did a good job exposing 6lack as an industry plant in his video about Billie Eilish..
I can't listen to all of these industry plant accusations. I watched him go up from ground zero. I met him in person and watched him 2-3 years before he popped.
To be clear, I'm in no way friends with him. I don't know him personally. I just instantly became a fan when I saw his live performance in a room of probably 50 people max...Russ also performed at that series which was personally thrown by some guys I went to school with while we were still in school.
I haven't watched the video, but in general, I'm fine with people using "Industry Plant" as clickbait, but any time someone is trying to "prove" an artist is an industry plant either
(1) They don't understand music marketing
(2) They are pandering to consumers/fans because it gets views, similar to the RUclips channels dedicated to "calling out scams" because it get views, not to actually inform - because there's no responsibility to be right if you don't actually work in the industry.
It's easy to form a narrative that someone is a plant, because most people don't see an artist's journey and MOST of the industry doesn't want you to see an artist's journey.
People forget, the idea of mystique means not telling you everything. Many of these artists journey's were hard and boring. It's more compelling to allow an industry plant narrative than the reality - until they do a full documentary. That's part of why you don't see many artists fight the idea.
Artists who actually want to be a professional/successful don't have the luxury of looking at the industry from the perspective of a consumer.

Doesn’t always happen the first ad campaign, especially if ur a new artist trying to find your target demo just like kohrey said. It’s about the quality of that viewer vs the amount, since you want to build customer lifetime value

What would the job title would i look for when applying to these marketing firms? Botfarms seems like a fun rabbit hole combining my passion and formal education into one.
The value of a bot is not in automating streams. It’s in getting streams to appear human-like and to actually count and payout. I don’t know what your education is- perhaps computer science- but a cookie cutter piece of software won’t cut it. It takes many years of trial and error to get the insider secrets of an effective bot. It’s not just something you apply for at a ‘marketing firm’ or hop into as a fun side project.
The game is filled with smoke and mirrors. The new bot trend reminds me of payola back in the day. Songs would play a hundred times a day on the radio! 🙃

What If you're buying organic reach? With legit views and subscribers/followers count?
I mean there are services that artists can use to market their songs to certain target audiences, I don't use bots, I use organic reach.
For instance for a song that I use which was "Welcome to clapps", I bought the 2k - 5k views but it went over 6.4k views! Which was mind boggling plus I had 14 more subscribers on RUclips ... They probably aren't "real fans" but at least it's organic not fake

It's a losing game to give them 100% honesty because everyone perceives honesty differently.
This is the entertainment industry. Many of the best movies are described as "realistic", but if they were truly real, they'd be boring. The most an entertainer can do is make the fans FEEL like they're honest.
When people think an artist is "real" or "honest' it just means that the artist is conveying an image that the fan "agrees" with. They never ACTUALLY know the truth and it's not an artists job to give a 100% definitive truth.

I always have foreign comment because I perform internationally. And over positive comments are common from good people . I also have low stream numbers but I’m booked EVERY weekend. Hope y’all keep creating content … so much more to learn and teach.
None of what you said makes sense as an argument against what we've said. It seems you have zero understanding for anything we said.
The most I can guess is a lack of understanding of the United States domestic climate when it comes to bot.
1. We have worked several international artists. We don't think all non-domestic comments are bots so if that's what you think, it's far off...maybe you don't understand why referenced foreign bots but this is from ACTUAL experience and knowing some of the companies that do their bots in a specific way.
2. What does having low streams and still booking shows have to do with this conversation at all? I know artists who get booked WITHOUT music on streaming platforms...that's also irrelevant to this conversation.
If this is the first video you've seen of us, it'd explain a lot. Check out more video or research the artists we've worked with...there's nothing you said that we haven't talked about already and DONE for multiple artists.
