    Listening to you talk about your Regal . It's grown, it's died, propagated , etc etc, so funny. We have all had that plant. Mine go to what I call the naughty window and left alone. Looking forward to seeing your Wendy take off. I just love strappy Anthurium. Alice on RUclips, I'm sure you know her puts it in what she calls her tree fern soil, worth a watch.

      😂 I have one of those spots as well... In my case, it's the window in the spare room.
      Thanks for the recommendation. I have seen a few of her videos (following your comment) and I think I will try it out with some of the struggling anthuriums

    Moving my anthuriums to aroid mix was the best decision for them I’ve made thus far. A Complete turnaround.

      I would love to try Fern fiber. I heard they love it but I need to make sure it is sustainably sourced

      @@RootsReady I order mine from Tezula. In my opinion they have some of the best and I believe it’s sustainable.

    Top 5? I’ll get back to you on that… but I do want to, how’s your Hoya rintzii Borneo? I showed it awhile back and I ordered one… so just curious if you have it still.
    Top 5: all Hoyas- black cat; Sabah; carnosa krimson queen; dinner plate and silver lady. Mostly because they gave me new growth 🪴😊

      Great choices on your top five plants.
      Unfortunately, for an unknown reason, the Rintzii Borneo died. Before it did so, I shared a cutting with a friend who is happy to share cutting with me when it grows in... So I will have another shot at it soon

    I hate soil, but I too find that most plants like soil; I’ve started mixing my PON with tree fern fiber & soil & they love it. Nice faves Lethius! Originally, did your gloriosum have any variegation?

    • @RootsReady
      @RootsReady  Месяц назад +1

      I have heard great things about tree fern. I would love to try it out soon. What has your experience been so far?
      In regards to the gloriosum, it started as a normal plant. I'm not sure what changed to make it variegated

      @@RootsReady tree fern fiber has elevated my plants; I mix it in with every substrate & use from corm to 7’ Dubia. That’s awesome about your gloriosum adapting variegation Lethius!

    Heat mats are of the devil. I have never had success with one. You are essentially cooking the plant. I have a cheap small prop box from Amazon. Anything I put in that box outside in the spring and summer have thrived. What is that beautiful plant next to the rubber tree on the table?

    • @RootsReady
      @RootsReady  Месяц назад +1

      I had to learn that the hard way unfortunately. What prop box are you using? I use any container I can find. For small cutting I like the ferrero rocher plastic boxes

      @@RootsReady "Propagator with Humidity Vents Domes." I wish they made them much bigger. I also found that cuttings once rooted, do an excellent job in terracotta, but the smaller pots according to what you are potting.
