but still these are more affordable than designer handbags which I also watch videos about... I consider these videos window shopping and then I can enjoy the beautiful plants without the fear of killing them in my care!
I really enjoy your videos Kaylee! I’d love to see a video from you explaining the differences in your plant care between the shop and how you keep your personal plants.
Monstera D large is ubiquitous here in Aussie backyards, even in Melbourne where I am. They are everywhere in older areas. I suspect they were trendy in the 70's.
I definitely see the difference between the brazil and the borsigiana. I'm glad you got an ID on your lovely begonia, and those gloriosums are show-stoppers! I hope the variegation on those is being less temperamental for you over all than it was before? Also, I know how mature burle marx flame is supposed to look so I understand the comparison you're drawing, but I honestly think the tiny dancer-looking immature version is really cute. I feel like that's one where I'd be thrilled to have it size up, but will still think it's cute if it doesn't so I wouldn't necessarily stress about it or be turned off. It's good to have some info on how it tends to grow in case it ends up on my wish list. Thanks for the info, Kaylee!
Kaylee, I've been a follower for a few months. Love your content. Doing some mad research it led me to this video. My Gloriosum just let out a new leaf and super varigated. I'm panicking and excited and in disbelief. I would love to somehow get you to confirm.
I can def see the difference between Brasil and the other forms. We have it here in Australia, often in a wide or narrow leaf form, and its pricepoint is very modest even for established fully mature plants as many areas can grow it as a garden plant letting it go nuts and size up fast. The older it gets the more obvious the differences are imo.
Yesss! I found the Monstera Brazilian Common Form in a hardware store randomly one time. I didn’t know what it was, it was just different so I took it home and googled like crazy. Loving that it is getting the recognition here and that I am not imagining things. She is more stiff, not floppy at all, has thick veins over the whole leaf, a different shade of green and different fenestration. This was in Germany too, so not sure how it ended up in the hardware store together with regular Monsteras.
I'm from Brazil and I have a monstera Brazil growing in my backyard that I have never planted lol. Here those are quite common and the other varieties more rare.
I love how you talk, it feels like how I talk to my students 😂😂 "knowledge, excitement, random intermezzo talking about why I can't breathe, more exciting and knowledgeable updates" 😂😂
Those gloriosum are stunning!! I see the difference in the monstera and I agree with the above comment that they look almost more cartoon like. Can’t wait in the next repot with me to hear about the horse/car/cat updates!!
Lovely plants! The Monstera does look different from the typical MD, I think it looks more cartoony actually. I still prefer a large form Deliciosa. I was luckily allowed to get a little stunted side shoot of a very large and old Monstera from one of my college buildings, I've propagated it in water and I've been growing it for about 4-5 years now. It is huge! The newest leaf is the size of my torso. I just love a huge fenestrated heart-shaped leaf... I think it may be my favorite plant. Sorry for the rant. Anyway! I did say I'll comment on every new video until you see it. Please do an update on your orchids. Are the jewels still alive? Have you tried any new ones? Orchids are pet friendly, you know? And there is SO much variety!
Every time I see you talk about the Brazilian form Monstera I cry a little. It’s my dream plant that I can’t afford. You talk about its awesomeness and I just know price won’t be falling any time soon. Other than that great info beautiful plants thanks for your hard work I look forward to watching Friday.
I have a Brazil form deliciosa, it's definitely different! You can really see the flatter wider lobes even in juvenile leaves, and mine is really fenestrating now and the difference is clear to me! I've had mine for a while (Australia), it just popped up in a plant bss group maybe 2 years ago. Love it, big fan! Have you come across the sierrana form? Also cool!
Loved the update. Now I need to add the Monstera Deliciousa Brazil to my wish list. I can see the difference and I really like it. I also love the Begonia. It was stunning.
so beautiful I had to check on the variegated glorious 😂 first one to come up was 4500.00 on Etsy! I found a few smaller ones for a bit less but holy moly! sell Kaylee sell!
Don’t know if she will read it Kaylee The anthurium sp chocolate Could be a ace of spades hybrid Possibly ace of spades dark form crossed with crystallinum 👍 The veination shape and the sinus definitely looks screams ace of spades dark form hybrid
I can say I see and know the difference in the monstera deliciousa Brazilian common form, because I have some and even grew them about 7-8ft up my tree here in USA Florida with big big leaves, and sold top cut, and two leaf and one leaf cuttings 2 years ago, ex: for $200 single leaf for the same size your plant leaves are and $400-$600 for the big big leaf, when I say big, they were about 2feet wide by 2feet long. They’re gorgeous. I also sold two separate plants with 12-14 leaves at the size of your plant for $500, but this was 2 years ago. I was and still always do, sell a little cheaper than everyone in my community, I just try to be more generous because I feel everyone should be able to afford the more expensive plants. That’s just my opinion, if I have it to sell, I will sell for cheaper than everyone else. Not bragging or saying anything, like oh I’m better because I sell for less, but just saying that they were being sold for more than what I sell. If I see someone selling a plant for $500, my selling price is $300, or less, but I think you all understand what I’m trying to say😅
no shame in moss. I got those cheap indoor roses I separated and put into terra cotta pots, and I allow those small pots to grow moss on top because it helps (in my case) to not dry out the soil so fast. It looks good against the red of the clay.
I love that squamicaule blood but man. I had a regular squamicaule and she was such a freaking diva. Died when I reported it…. So did the props. Props weee fine until I moved them into bigger pots and they died. Never had problems with any other philo. So sad
Begonia are toxic to cats (and other pets - dog owner over here 😅 ) so I would not advise them for your house, if the cats like to chew on plants. Most begonia also quite enjoy high humidity.
Ok, first you're the only plant youtuber my BF/domestic partner will watch. 😅 I ordered the rescue boxes *USA* on 10/31. But no news since then. Only checking in cos your intro. I get it takes time and planties are in perfect place for now.
If the Anthurium is indeed a hybrid it‘s wrong to refer to it as Anthurium spec. Chocolate. First of all, spec. stands for species and furthermore the single quotation marks are missing. Anthurium ‘Chocolate‘ would be appropriate .
That‘s not true. They are three different plants. Please do your research before you spread misinformation. Furthermore, Monstera ‘Sierrana‘ is still not an accepted intraspecific taxon of deliciosa so there is no point of saying a sierrana is not a deliciosa
Welcome to another episode of stuff I can't afford but would like to have.
What are you looking for?
Wait a year or two. 😉
😂
but still these are more affordable than designer handbags which I also watch videos about... I consider these videos window shopping and then I can enjoy the beautiful plants without the fear of killing them in my care!
Where can I buy this planes,
ugh your florida beauty’s never disappoint I WANT ONE SO BAD🥹🥹
I have a large one. Let me know if you would like cuttings
I really enjoy your videos Kaylee! I’d love to see a video from you explaining the differences in your plant care between the shop and how you keep your personal plants.
I’d like to see a video grading them and your thought processes surrounding the Fl. Beauty.

The anthurium chocolate is one of favorites, it’s actually and doc block f2 hybrid Zara x pap
I love the adhd energy here, relatable ❤ also the Serpens’ blood cousin… added to wish list 😅

I love monsteras and I may be alone in this but I like them better when they have fewer and smaller fenestrations.
🙌
I NEED NEED NEED a variegated gloriosum 😍they are doing amazing for you 😊

You are the only person that I watch that gets me excited for new plants. Those velvet leaves. 😍
Never stupid, but always adorable, Kaylee! Love the Gloriosums especially 💚🤍
10:32 i feed mine heavily and it grows pretty quick and every leaf is massively bigger than the last
what conditions do you grow in?
@@paubel58 ambient in 50% humidity. Chunky coir on a moss pole under a barrina t5 light
I'm from Brazil and I have a monstera Brazil growing in my backyard that I have never planted lol. Here those are quite common and the other varieties more rare.
I’ve started falling in love with begonia s as well
I love how you talk, it feels like how I talk to my students 😂😂 "knowledge, excitement, random intermezzo talking about why I can't breathe, more exciting and knowledgeable updates" 😂😂
Yes you’re right regarding the Brazilian form, we usually call them as well as sireina, or mermaid tail
Those gloriosum are stunning!! I see the difference in the monstera and I agree with the above comment that they look almost more cartoon like. Can’t wait in the next repot with me to hear about the horse/car/cat updates!!

I just love your energy! ;D Great video. And with some explaination I got the difference :)

I actually enjoy the solid green gloriosum mixed in… it helps the variegation pop.
Your Florida beauty is just amazingly (is that even a word 🙈) beautiful and the gloriosum is to die for. Need one nooow 🙈😍😍😍
Loved the update. Now I need to add the Monstera Deliciousa Brazil to my wish list. I can see the difference and I really like it. I also love the Begonia. It was stunning.
The brasilian form that i have is massive and the internodes become thighter too and looking sooo different from the Deliciosa
The MD Brazil leaves look like a slightly angled heart shape with wider fenestrations to me 🤔 The variegated gloriosum is gorgeous ❤ 😀🇨🇦
How about growing the large form M.D. outside? Btw, have you tasted the Mostera fruit? It's a must try a delicious fruit.
Vos plantes sont superbes. Je me pose une question qui vous paraitra peut-être idiote : vous conservez ces plantes en semi-hydro combien de temps, d'années (pour une même plante) ?

Is it sad that I would totally love to watch you grading Flobes. It would be fun with any variegated plant!
so beautiful I had to check on the variegated glorious 😂 first one to come up was 4500.00 on Etsy! I found a few smaller ones for a bit less but holy moly! sell Kaylee sell!
That begonia, beautiful ❤
That variegated gloriosium is beautiful 💚
Ive been waiting for ages to see that MD brazilian form grown bigger 🥰
I'm new to this channel and I love it! Do you actually sell plants online? And if you do, where? Lol Thanks!❤
Can a variegated Gloriorum start with just some lighter “veins” or spots and then become like that?
Hi Kaylee, how much is the 1 leaf rooted cutting of the variegated Gloriosum?
Don’t know if she will read it Kaylee
The anthurium sp chocolate
Could be a ace of spades hybrid
Possibly ace of spades dark form crossed with crystallinum
👍
The veination shape and the sinus definitely looks screams ace of spades dark form hybrid

Can see the difference in the reg MD a the Brazilian form. Wanted the BF but little starts are 100 to 150 in the states. 😢
I love the squamicaule ❤. I have the red one .
The MD Brazil almost looks like a cross between a regular MD and a rhaphidophora tetrasperma. A varigated one would be stunning!💚🌿
That's what I was thinking, that it looks like rhaphidophora tetrasperma in the size of a monstera deliciosa
That is probably because it is not mature yet.
I absoluty don‘t see any resemblance😅 The tetrasperma is rather elongated, what the Brazilian is clearly not
I have a monstera that looks just like that! I got it from a grocery store for $12, and I just thought it looked "funky" in a good way 😅
If you are not from Australia, Southern Africa or actually Brazil, it‘s extremely unlikely
At the start, I went in to change my playback speed to normal because I thought it was double 😂
Matte… finish?
That sp chocolate reminds me of an aos green form
The monstera looks like a chunkier stubbier Burle Marx Flame. It’s like of a common monstera made a baby with a flame.
The big one looks like Monstera sierrana. Beautiful!
It‘s a Brazilian Common Form as she said
I want the MD Brazilian form so bad!!
no shame in moss. I got those cheap indoor roses I separated and put into terra cotta pots, and I allow those small pots to grow moss on top because it helps (in my case) to not dry out the soil so fast. It looks good against the red of the clay.
Did you get a new batch of var gloriosum or are these all props from that original stock??
Also, the petioles on Brazil common form will have much more space in between the internodes than regular monstera deliciousa😊
Do you refer to the internodes/space between nodes?
@@jhndr0nia the space between each new petiole/leaf😀
@@kristinakronk5373 That should be the distance between the nodes
@@jhndr0nia YES YOU'RE CORRECT, SAME THING, BECAUSE THEY'RE LITERALLY GROWING BESIDE EACH OTHER🙂(THE NODE/NEW GROWTH/AUXILLARY BUD)
How can buy plants from you,
that begonia is SENSUAL 19:20
Lovely plants as always! Makes me want to have a plant shop so bad 😂 It looks like begonia are toxic to pets unfortunately
The Burle Marx‘s Flame needs a lot of light. That‘s probably one of the issues
Thanks so much!!!
Miss, if your variegated gloriousum is worth anywhere between 1 -2 human kidneys, i'd love to buy
Look like the Burmac flames a little bit
Most, if not all the links in your description are no longer selling those products :(
I always dread googling the price. That Gloriosum variegated is beautiful.
wonderful wonderful leaf
I love that squamicaule blood but man. I had a regular squamicaule and she was such a freaking diva. Died when I reported it…. So did the props. Props weee fine until I moved them into bigger pots and they died. Never had problems with any other philo. So sad

Yes, let’s do that!
2:28 I could see the difference 🙋♀️☺️
Ok, first you're the only plant youtuber my BF/domestic partner will watch. 😅
I ordered the rescue boxes *USA* on 10/31. But no news since then. Only checking in cos your intro. I get it takes time and planties are in perfect place for now.
I just got distracted by the thumbnail and came here to say you get prettier all the time. Way to age, Kaylee Ellen 👍
love your channel ..👍👍

Please mention names of each of the plants you show.
She mentioned every single name
You are very entertaining
I don’t think that monstera is a delicious looks more like a monstera sieranna that I have. It has those deeper fenestrations.
I think sieranna is the same as Burle Marx flame, and Brazilian common form is a bit different

U look so beautiful ❤❤❤
Best varigated plant is dioscorea discolor varigated
I like the short vids, I just can't sit through the never-ending chatter.
Well jealous
Feels like you are rushing
I did see what u were talking about & I think it's cool 2, I wish I had one. 🤎 Ur channel❣
