It was a toss up between this and the 48'' B4 for my new gaming TV, settled on the latter due to the extra size and £150 price difference and couldn't be happier! My living room TV - 2019 C9 55'' also still going strong apart from a few dead pixels around the edges. Can't beat an OLED 💪
I have a 48 inch C2 I bought a year and a half ago for $800. I have it in my game room and recently bought a Atmos soundbar that takes my gaming setup to another level. I’ve had zero issues and couldn’t be happier. I use it to play my PS5 and Switch . I think it’s the perfect size for my needs. I just bought a 65 inch G4 for my living room earlier this month and tested the PS5 on it. I think most games are better on a smaller screen especially 1st person shooters and racing games.
This video is perfect timing for me. I've been contemplating between the 42" and 48" C4 but have decided to go for the 42". I have a small dark room and the tv unit isn't quite narrow. This will be perfect for my first OLED 😀
Yea I have limited space in my room for a TV so 42 inches is what I'm limited to. Only downside is the 42inch model doesn't get as bright as the bigger ones, but in a darker room its probably not a problem
@@MrinmayDhar Probably because it's a different panel for the 42" size than the 55" one they tested as well, but maybe there are variations from unit to unit on the 42" too.
Great. It can be compared with the larger size c4 and the g4??? It would be great to see the real difference in brightness and image between these models because it is nowhere to be found. Pls giant🙏
If I buy one of these I’ll be connecting it to a Sky Q mini box via HDMI I won’t be using it for anything else. When turned on would the TV default to the connected mini box or does it always start up with that Home Screen which I would then need to select the appropriate HDMI input to be able to watch Sky?
One thing I would like to know is if you can still record from the tv guide to a usb drive? Also does the freeview play search function give results for the week ahead as well as catch up?
General/Devices/TV Management although they might have changed it with WebOS 24. Depends on your version. If its the new version, its under Support/Home-Store Mode
With all of the OLED"s youve tested, how often do you find dead pixels when brand new? I just purchased an 83" C4, and i have 1 dead subpixel where red and blue is dead, but white is showing. Do i exchange and risk it? or is that to be expected?
I have the 42 inch lg c3.perfect size not too big or too small.the tv is awesome perfect picture perfect frame rate
finally a 42inch oled unboxing and review :)
😁

What’s your soundbar?
I use a C4 42'' as my second monitor for my Apple MacBook Air M2 and its AMAZING as a secondary screen. Also gaming on this is sublime.

It would be awesome if you could test this in a PC setup. I'd definitely be interested to see how it fares as a monitor.
Nice Unboxing & Demo TG!
If possible, would you mind do a review of this TV, as a gaming PC monitor.
Thanks in advance!
Just ordered one of these for my kitchen , ideal size for me

bigger the panel greater the chance of deformities . above 65inchs of TV is risky business .
Thx for this video ! Hope one day they will change this horrible Remote Control
I hope so too
Why do you keep doing the same tvs and just different sizes? 🤷🏼♂️
Ces next month new TVs 📺 😊😊 lg c5
ال جي ملكة اشاشات في العالم عن تجربة المهم ان تكون مستوردة من كوريا الجنوبية وليس بلدا اخر يتلاعب فيها بقطع غيارها
The brightness is very low on these 42”
Salam alaikoum Peter
The 5 year warranty is from LG themselves if you buy a G4 not from. Peter Tyson? 🤔
That only covers the panel, not the whole TV.
So the warranty from Peter Tyson is better.
Plus, this is a C4, not a G4.
Time to unbox a portable tv
😅
I have G4 in my living room and c4 in bed room
Good God, that's expensive for a 42". I got my 55 C3 for £919.
lol I had the S90D for 12 days and it died
Seems to be typical for Samsung these days. Sigh.
@ Team LG C4
