We'll be doing much more than highlighting but just wanted to let those of you who are watching this video know. Thanks for this. I've been binging on Bible highlighting videos until my head is swirling (which is keeping me from actually doing it). I like your method. 🥰
Oh highlighting healing scriptures is a GREAT idea. I'm not sure why i never included healing as a theme other than not enough colors. But I do often highlight them as a promise. I'm using a new set of highlighters with more colors so I'm going to add healing! So important to hold strong to those promises and examples. Thanks for watching and commenting 💓
Thank you for sharing all that information with us. I've just discovered your channel and all of your videos have been so interesting, informative and fun.
Hey Nancy! Thanks for sharing! My sister gave me an NLT study bible as a gift a few days ago ♥ and I've been looking everywhere for the best way to highlight it! Your video was super helpfull! Thank you and God bless you!
thank you for sharing your knowledge for in ept people like me.I am a born again christian and just purchased a jounaling bible and am looking for ways to color code specific things in the Bible thank you again.
Scouring RUclips for ways to highlight my Bible is exactly what I have been doing. I write in my Bible and take notes in a spiral but since I got a journaling Bible I want to combine them. I plan to start simple and your video is just what I've been looking for. Thank you.
You sound just like me! It was a process of starting simple and building from there. Glad you found my video helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting ❤️
Nancy, you are clearly a visual person. I appreciate your fun graphics and I really like your intro graphic with the cross in the distance. Very cool visually. Sigh. I would love a highlighter system, but methinks it's too late for me, at least for now. I wasn't living on RUclips 5 years ago when I got my NIV study Bible, which was my first study Bible after years of just having an NKJV as my usual Bible, for the most part. So I have those, an AMP that I got maybe just a year ago that I truly love and I'm hanging out in my ESV now, also about a year old. But I tended to highlight using whichever highlighter was at hand. In my study Bible, I had intentionally decided from the beginning and used pink to point out examples of God's love. In another one, I liked purple for promises, and I did that in a few places, but I'm not the journaling type, at least not this type of journaling. So I don't have a cache of pens I'm using. I JUST started using post-its as a way to take extra notes that I could leave in there! I have a relatively fresh NLT that I won as a gift, but right now I don't even see me using that Bible as my go to for regular reading and study the way I do the other 3. It's more a backup when I want read something in multiple ways, so it might never get highlighted. Too bad I can't RE-highlight my other ones! Or can I....🤔I'll check out you next two videos too. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah I've changed up my color purple so many times that I really have to think about it when I come upon a verse I highlighted purple. But it's all good no matter what you're doing or how your doing it. As long as you're reading and engaging! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. I made a follow-up working through a small portion of the sermon on the mount. If you haven't found it already you can see it here: ruclips.net/video/TrpbXtVO6Jk/видео.html
would you be able at all to go through some bible study chapters with these highlighting color codes furthermore? i would love a bible study videos covering chapters with some help as i struggle with highlighting myself haha.
I personally like the Bible dry highlighters & Crayola makes a twisty crayon that I love. They do not bleed & are inexpensive. I also like Picma Micron Archival Ink - I get these usually in .05 - they don’t bleed. Also, I use the Pilot extra fine pens in blue & black - they don’t bleed either. I have Mr. Pen highlighters but I find that they shadow & sometimes bleed thru the onion skin paper of a Bible.
Yes I'm finding the darker Mr Pens do shadow more deeply over time. I will be trying some different products when I'm ready to buy some more. Thanks for your suggestions!
I can't remember if I mentioned it in the video or not, but I didn't really care for those over time. But in my experience even my current Mr. Pen gels are shadowing more over time too. Then again I have very thing paper. I'm not letting it bother me much though. Thanks for watching and sharing.
Hi, I'm new to your channel. I'm enjoying your content. BTW, I'm not an artist either. I like your color code. 👍 I use to have a dozen colors for highlighting my journaling Bible. It was too much detail. Due to my vision I had to get a large print Bible. I decided to simplify the color code for my new Bible. This one I found on Pinterest. I made it my own with a few simple changes. 🟣 All things God. Purple for me is the color of royalty. 🔴 Things we're commanded not to do. Red means stop. 🟢 Commandments to do, like love your enemies. Green is go. 🟡 is prayer just because. 🔵 Is anything that stands out and doesn't fit the above catigories. I find this easier to remember than the dozen colors. Lord bless you!😊
That's a great color system! I'm working a video right now on how being too detailed can derail a Bible note taking system. Yours is nice and simple like mine. Thanks for watching and sharing 💓
I don't mark when God or Jesus is mentioned in scritpure, but rather I mark the "characteristics" of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It helps me to understand the character of the Trinity better than just highlighting or marking "God" or "Father" or "Him" or "Jesus" etc. So I'm still "looking" for God in the passage but I'm looking for WHO HE IS in the passage. Thanks for your question!

This was an excellent tutorial on marking and color coding scripture. I would love if you would demonstrate this method in one of the Gospels.
