  • Making lists is an easy way to take Bible study notes yet the revelation it can give is profound. There's a few different ways you can do it. In this video I share an epic list I made from Revelation 2-3, a tiny list I made from one of my favorite narrative accounts in Judges, and then I do a real-time Bible journaling study list from Psalm 94, which I did a real-time highlighting session with in a previous video (see below for my highlighting series).

This is an wonderful bible study help! Guiding the reader to study on a particular aspect of the scripture at a time, instead of trying to absorb everything at one time. Thank you for sharing.

I love this. I’m really hungry for deeper Bible study, and as someone who is creative, I’ve felt like journaling should be “pretty” or “artistic.” This is something I want to implement right away, pressure free.

I first discovered lists when I started "Studies With Stearman" on Prophecy Watchers YT channel. I'm not a regular viewer of this particular channel, but I took the time to check out the Studies series and found that I really learned a lot. He started making short lists he discovered in Scripture and it was very helpful to me. I started looking for lists and then using those lists to further enhance my study. It's always such a blessing to be brought to a deeper understanding of God's Word through the leading of the Holy Spirit guiding me to various channels where others, like you, share their systems.

I haven't heard of that channel. I think I picked up on the fact that many preachers will take a passage and turn it a series of points and that it's mainly just a list that's being unpacked. My study Bible does the same thing really. So I just started seeing lists. Thanks for watching and sharing your heart 💓

No, I have not studied using lists, but I’ll be trying it out. Great tip. I used to attend BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and have studied by basically writing the main point of each verse in my own words in I believe, 10 words or less. Quite interesting really. Once you have a section done then you, write a sentence in your own words for that section. Then write out some application questions and answers. But really like the list idea.

That's a great study tip! I've paraphrased verses before. But I'm always so long winded! I've never tried to do it under 10 words or less. I'm feeling challenged to trying that! Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching 💓

Today is my first time looking into this study/reading.
I'm struggling so much in so many ways (not alone); in so much pain and sorrow that's indescribable, and my fiancé is not supportive at all, in fact he kindles the fire so to speak making the hardships I'm faced with much worse...
Anyway, I'm hopeful that God will intervene on my behalf.
I could really use some prayers and advice; a friend.

It's taken 7 years of Precept studies, but lists jump out at me now! I have learned so much from lists. Since I mark words, sometimes a word or two or a phrase will appear from marking. Then you can make a list of what you learn about God or faith, etc. from the passage.
