@@MyAbidingJournal Thank you!! I am almost done reading the whole Bible...I can't believe I didn't do it years ago. But as soon as I am done...probably tomorrow 🤗 I am going to start again. I want to highlight, annotate and really study certain passages. So I have been trying to find a system that will not be too complicated and one that works for me. Thank you for sharing. I watched Part 2 and it really was helpful!
I’ve been meaning to leave a comment for a while now but I wanted to wait and finish the Bible first. August 2021, the date I started reading my Bible and thank to the creativity God put within you, I’ve been constant and the 28th of February 2023 I’ve finished reading the last Chapter of Revelation. Thank you for listening to God’s voice and offering the highlighting system for free. I could not thank you enough. I am aleays redirecting people to your video to download this. Thank you once again
@@iyanuoluwaalawode74 I never wanted to use a plan because I am bad at following plans. I took everyday as it was and committed to read at least one chapter per day. I have missed one day in between some days but I’ve stuck with reading at least one chapter per day. Sometimes I would’ve gotten so trapped within the Word of God and read 4-5 chapters in one go, other day I would force myself to read one chapter. But I always say : DO THE THING YOU DON’T FEEL LIKE DOING in terms of studying Bible or praying or spending time with God because that’s when the devil is fighting the most to make you day NO to God
I love that you didn't use the basic words for highlighting. I use a similar system. 💖Pink/Red for Jesus or love, 🍊orange for people or places, 🔔yellow for important or verses I love, 🌳green for God's promises or character growth (both from the people in the Bible and lessons we should learn), 🌌blue for all things of God, ♉purple for sin, evil, wrongdoing.
Thank you for sharing this! I have been a Christian for 29 years and this year I was really struggling with my devotional time because I felt like I was just reading the same reading plans over and over every year. I decided to use your method and bought some highlighters and a new journal bible. This year I am not putting myself on a time schedule for reading because I am going to read s-l-o-w-l-y! I am going to really take time to soak in every word I read. If it takes me two years....so be it! Thanks you again. I feel like this has giving this old saint a fresh desire for the Word of God!
Thank you so much for your video and free color code download. I didn't think I would like all that highlighting, as I am an art bible journaler, but once you explained that those colors quickly give you insight about those scriptures in each book according to your highlight, it makes sense. So, now I think I will get a notetaking bible specific for in-depth study/highlighting, and still continue in my art journaling Bible, because the images/pictures I draw also signify to me what that chapter or verse is about. Thank you again. I am looking forward to more of your videos.
Love coming back to this video, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your highlighting system! It was so helpful this past year (2023) while I challenged myself to read the Bible in a year. It also inspired me to make my own for further study🤎
This was definitely helpful. I just got my first two bibles end of 2023 and I’m grateful for God leading me to these videos as l learn more about Bible study❤ thank you!

I am starting to study the Bible and I had trouble figuring out a color coding system. Your video has truly been the answer to my prayers. Your detailed explanation is so helpful. Thank you!
I just received a new bible that I was not sure how I want to study and your video came up on my feed, perfect for me and I will implement it this year. Thank you for sharing!
Hello! Great video! I just got a new Bible for the first time in a long while and was wanting some ideas for how to highlight. So I watched and I loved the idea of boxing a word and circling a word, the * symbol and ? Symbol. My one thing I am adding to my list is a ! Symbol. This can be added beside the ? When that question has been solved. Whether by a revelation, a sermon you heard or God speaking. And if need be, add a date if you journal your bible study times so you can look at the date you finally got the verse and see what you wrote, or just add it into the bible if you have space.
This has been the best video I have seen regarding a color coding system! Thank you so much for sharing your system and for generously letting us download the guide.

Hi.... Your printable is so beautiful!!! I love the idea... however I use the micron pack of pens to underline and take notes with these colors: red, orange, pink, yellow, green, blue, brown, black... each color with it's own meaning (I only highlight if I want something to really stand out.)... I would love to know what program you used to design your card. It's really beautiful but I'd love to make one that includes all the colors. Unsure how to go about it. Thank you for any advice you can give!
Wow, this is so well done, thank you! I've been wondering how people do this, I was thinking there is some universal code or something that is revealed at some point but to just look it up and see that so many just go about it different ways is oddly encouraging.
Kelsey I love this! I was wondering if you could please make the floral one that doesn’t have the colors. I’m just starting to highlight using color coding, but I use purple for God, Jesus & the Holy Spirit. I also like to use yellow for anything that is important to me personally. I love everything in your color coding system, but would love to pick my own colors. Thank you so much for this video! 💕
Thanks so much Brandee. That's a great idea. I'll try to create a no color version so you and others can highlight over it with your preferred colors by the end of this week. 😉
Hey Brandee! Wanted to update you. I've just added a "pick your own colors" version of the printable so that you can highlight the themes using whatever color you like! I hope you enjoy it! 😉
Thank you so much for your video, I’ve done bible highlighting before but the colors didn’t feel right to me. I love your colors so much better. It's a bit trickier than I thought, that colour coding😅... thx in advance all! GB
I JUST started studying the Bible. JUST. I started highlighting and notating things (it’s a journaling bible), before I even considered there was such a thing as a system. I’m only 3 days in, and I realized last night, that I wanted anything Jesus said, to be the same color, yellow, because his words are in red and I wanted that to show through. I hadn’t considered that I wanted his words highlighted in yellow, until I was on my 3rd day of reading. I also realized that I’m not a fan of gel highlighters, so I’m getting some regular highlighters that are well reviewed by bible readers. Luckily I’m only very early on, so there’s only a few pages that are pretty much whatever highlighter I picked up, but I’m VERY OCD. So my question goes out to anyone, but hopefully someone who also might be on the OCD side. Do I chalk it up to beginner error, and look back on it to remember where I first started, or do I get a new bible? Yes, I’m that OCD 🤦🏼♀️. Every instinct is telling me to start over, even though it’s ridiculous. Mostly looking for what anyone else would do.
So glad this video was helpful to you, and if you have a journaling Bible, I highly recommend the mild liner highlighters. OCD makes us feel like God requires perfection, which is so UNtrue!

I agree
Have not been able to find your Bible colour guide.
It is an attachment on the public video post on my Patreon page (the page is linked in the description of this video). If you scroll to the bottom of that post, you should see the attachments before the comments section.
How can I resize the Bible color coding guide?
You can change your printer setting to print to less than or more than 100% instead of to actual size
What chapter are each of the color?
What do you do for living?
I work in higher education leadership communications
@@MyAbidingJournal is reading the bible worshipping ?
@@MyAbidingJournal is it religious?
The links for the color coding isnt working … :(
Im sorry! Maybe try it again in another browser? I did just try it myself and it did seem to work. If you’re still having issues, you can go directly to my Patreon and search through my public posts for this video where I attached the printable files or email me and I’ll send you it ☺️
Have you color coded your whole bible yet?
Lol definitely not. I like to really take my time in each book, and i don’t do an in-depth study every day. ☺️
….. and why is she sitting on the floor????????
My dad told me that he regretted marking in his bible and at the time I was new and loved highlighting, underlining and stuff but then I marked around the red letters and now I kind of regret it and now researching for tips on highlighting and stuff... Your video is put together well for a beginner. 🤍
