For the most part this is the most accurate book to movie adaptation. A few differences here and there, especially with Hagrid's dragon and after they go through the trap door, but most of the rest follows the book pretty dang accurately.
I feel like they had to follow the book very closely so they wouldn't upset the Harry Potter fans since it was the first movie! They needed to make a good impression on the audience.
Hogwarts was established in the beginning of the 11th century as a safe place for magical children to be taught/trained in magical discipline, skills, and philosophy. Back then, those with magical ability were hunted down and either persecuted, executed, or exploited. For that reason, spells were cast to hide the school from muggle sight. Some spells disoriented those approaching the school grounds, some distracted them by putting thoughts in their heads to hurry back to handle some issue that suddenly seemed very important. But another safety measure was the staircases changing at whim; it's impossible to launch an attack on Hogwarts when the way into the building redirects traffic randomly.
Thank you! I love seeing adults react to these movies with a sense of joy & wonder. I'm a bigger fan of the books, but still enjoy the movies. Thanks also for paying close attention to the script. Many reacters end up asking all sorts of questions later on in this (or other movies) because they weren't paying close attention to plot points. (In fairness though, kind of hard to react/comment and catch evey single line at the same time.) You seemed "on top of it".

Yeah, I'm paying close attention to as much detail as I can hence why I'm not talking so much but I'm injecting commentary when I think its necessary.... If I ask too many questions while the movies rolls on, I'm not paying attention to the story as much and my viewers can't hear the movie track which can annoying lol.

I love reaction youtube, but... Can I ask for more commentary? I mean, you're cute and all, but your 'reaction' face is in the tiny corner. Could you talk more about how you're feeling, what you're seeing as it happens? I (not everyone) come to reaction vids for the movie first, and the reactor second. We return if we enjoy the take and want more (personal) commentary during a film we've seen so many times.

I'm still finding the perfect balance between commentary and the movie because some of my viewers like less commentary and more movie, and me injecting commentary at critical moments in the movie... So I'm experimenting with the proper amount of commentary to inject into each video. I will definitely consider your criticism going forward in future videos. : )

Ive seen tons of these hp reactions. You have very good clip volume. You'd be surprised how difficult this is for so many.
