That is just how Scott/Dr. Dog are!! They are very real/laid back, and never went into this thinking they were going to be mega-stars. In fact, they have turned down so many commercial ventures/money opportunities over the past 10 years.. They will only support what they believe in.. That is what still keeps them grounded and real... They still love coming home to Philly and playing the bars/small venues where they can get crazy and have everyone get onstage/sing, "Wake Up" with them at the end!
Scott and Toby, you guys are my friends and my heroes! Can't wait till the next time we all jam together. @ Scott- you never stopped being a Homeboy! - JC Bell
this is just further reason why dr. dog is my favorite band. i love their music. i like to drink. and i play rugby. i saw a concert of theirs one time, and its true, they do jump around and celebrate the music while they play. i love that. rugby+booze+dr.dog=awesome
Saw them with one of my favorite bands, Delta Spirit in Houston, Texas at Walter's on Washington and I knocked over their microphone while they were playing. I was super drunk and thought I was adding to the chaos which I was but, now I feel bad!
I do love this band, but I have never connected with this album as much as their earlier releases. Not a knock against them, just saying. Keep making good music.
I love this band's sound but one thing: I don't think objective means the same thing he thinks it means. I get what he's saying, but maybe detached would have been a better word?
