I think you can adjust the beam width, trading stopping power for a wider spread. I seem to recall Janeway dropping like 4 people with a rifle one time.
Stopped watching the clip. Not for anything bad! I just checked out Lower Decks season two and three on DVD at the library today! Binge watch, warp factor six! (I'll play them at the right speed though) Liked and subbed!
Mariner and Jennifer becoming a couple surprised the heck out of me. A welcome surprise since I love Andorians ^^ I originally *LOATHED* this show because S1 was so awful with how it portrayed Mariner as this big bully know-it-all. I'm glad SFdebris reviews and the word of people of what happened in the later seasons made me decide to pick it up and watch it, but man, S1 Mariner was so awful. But yeah, I changed my view on this show later on. It's very fun and good ^^ " _THEY'RE SCANNING AGAIN!_ " Is my favorite joke. Being surrounded by 4 D'Deridex all that curiously are surrounding them brings fourth the mental image of four birds xD
Eh, lots of friends have that kind of relationship, wherein they can laugh at one another's misfortune and still be friends later. And no real harm was caused to any of them. And they had no idea how long power was going to be out; under worse circumstances, Mariner taking that kind of action could have ended up saving their lives.
@@sararamsey7778 It is. Andorians subsume their violence like a polite Klingon, and Mariner Junior is arguably damaged goods emotionally, it may actually be lucky for both of them that they aren't together anymore.

You fired multiple shots into the air before then firing on every single individual in the room including yourself. I'm really wondering if it's worth busting you down a rank that's *lower* than ensign or just cashiering you...."
They pretty much already gave plenty of justification. Oxygen was running low in a sealed, crowded room. People consume less oxygen when unconscious. If anything, that's probably a textbook response to that kind of a situation.
@@dungeonguy88 The fact that she was armed at all is questionable at best and firing at the ceiling is an unnecessary risk, even if you're 99% certain it's on stun. I mean, it's totally in character for her to bring a phaser but she's definitely getting brig time.
@@AdmiralBlackstar Starfleet personnel carry phasers regularly. They're as much tools as weapons. So it's pretty reasonable for her to be carrying one. And given the materials, there was practically zero-risk for any structural damage to arise from firing at the ceiling. If there was, then they could have used the phaser to cut through the door.
This. This is good Gay rep. Becket has had nearly 3 seasons to just be a bad ass, to continuously prove her self as a bad ass, explain why she’s a badass, show her major character flaws and have her actually get in trouble and punished when she steps out of line, and then they don’t even make a big deal out of her being gay. She just is and everyone just goes along with it like it’s normal.
Yep, the fact that she's dating a woman isn't even a factor. It is quite possibly the least important part of her relationship, especially compared to the fact that she's dating a comparatively straight-laced and normal person like Jennifer. As opposed to her stated history of normally dating rebels and troublemakers.

Not everyshow is gonna be. Personally I love the queer shipping and honestly Beckett having someone who just wants her to be herself and not change to fit someone elses mold is actually really supportive. Jennifer just also knows Beckett is a bit wild and finds it as a good thing. I mean it wouldn't be a healthy relationship if she was always trying to change her would it? We have seen time and again Beckett's quick thinking and out of the box thought process has saved a lot of lives.

It might not last forever, the thing is that its tottaly normal for relationships to not last. Not every girl you date will be the ONE, and not every break up will be the end of the world. Sometimed two people just realise theyve drifted apart, shake hands and walk away friends.
I think there is a reason they focus in on Jennifer when she comes back in and she goes to her friends. Its probably gonna still be a ship but definitely added a bit of drama.
@@makorutledge202 I think its realistic. All of her friends and family thought she had done something rash, so its fitting her girlfriend would too. And she forgave her family and friends so it makes sense she would forgive Jennifer too.
They should, but she did have a valid reason. The candles were burning oxygen and the girls were preventing her from blowing them out. Sealed room, multiple people and limited oxygen due to no power means that knocking them out would actually keep them alive longer. Though the panic of her hunting them down used up a good bit.

i really wish that they didnt just drop their relationship where they did. They had a fight for sure, but they could of very least had a scene where they talked about it after Mariner got back instead of relegating Jen to the background again
2:33 funniest part when she was agreeing
well that's one way to cure insomnia..
Still love those RITOS shirts
So you can stun more than one person per shot with the phaser.
I think you can adjust the beam width, trading stopping power for a wider spread. I seem to recall Janeway dropping like 4 people with a rifle one time.
if you set the beam wide enough you can stun a whole room at once
I imagine that there's a setting to turn up the power and/or disbursal of the beam; there's probably even a fly-spray setting.
If they are touching, then sure. Maybe not through clothing, but lip to lip, of course...
one at a time is more FUN, though. XD
i searched this video by typing 'lower decks mass shooting scene'
... yes i am not proud of what i did. but it worked.
Soo, Jennifer is kind of a psycho. Maybe her and Mariner will go the distance.
Meh... Jennifer is an andorian. They light fighting.
Stopped watching the clip. Not for anything bad! I just checked out Lower Decks season two and three on DVD at the library today! Binge watch, warp factor six!
(I'll play them at the right speed though)
Liked and subbed!
I happy for those 2. They have every right to be gay. In fact, I’m proud of those 2. Hopefully they get married some day
I really enjoy the video and hopefully see many more years of the show
"Man, that was some party last night... how much did we drink?"
Mariner and Jennifer becoming a couple surprised the heck out of me. A welcome surprise since I love Andorians ^^
I originally *LOATHED* this show because S1 was so awful with how it portrayed Mariner as this big bully know-it-all. I'm glad SFdebris reviews and the word of people of what happened in the later seasons made me decide to pick it up and watch it, but man, S1 Mariner was so awful. But yeah, I changed my view on this show later on. It's very fun and good ^^
" _THEY'RE SCANNING AGAIN!_ "
Is my favorite joke. Being surrounded by 4 D'Deridex all that curiously are surrounding them brings fourth the mental image of four birds xD
They are so adorable
The Thumbnail: "Oh my God, that's horrible"
Five seconds into this: "Oh."
Jennifer's friends heard her encourage Mariner, and then cheer as they were all shot.
...
Are they still friends after this?
Eh, lots of friends have that kind of relationship, wherein they can laugh at one another's misfortune and still be friends later.
And no real harm was caused to any of them. And they had no idea how long power was going to be out; under worse circumstances, Mariner taking that kind of action could have ended up saving their lives.
Of course they are
Oh c'mon, it was just a light stunning. It's not like it was paintballs or bottle rockets.
Yeah I know this show is supposed to be funny but I actually found this scene somewhat disturbing.
@@sararamsey7778 It is. Andorians subsume their violence like a polite Klingon, and Mariner Junior is arguably damaged goods emotionally, it may actually be lucky for both of them that they aren't together anymore.
yep it's confirmed I really the character Mariner!
Ship Security: "So you were armed while aboard ship, moored at a friendly port, in the absence of enemy boarders.
I think the best part so far is them bonding over a stun shooting spree lmfao.
Their offspring would be terrifying! 😀
Selfie phaser shot 😂
This aged like raw meat you forgot to put in the freezer.

Alternative scene (My mind)
After knocking out everyone's mind, Jennifer and Mariner both look at each other in romantic way,
Jennifer: Now that everyone's mind is out of the picture, what should we do?
Mariner: I do need some help with my loose clothes, care to help?
Jennifer grinned as she 'help' Mariner with her clothes and so did mariner 'help' Jennifer's clothing.
Take a cold shower buddy
@@morro190 I did, once. What about you?
Bow chika wow wow
I mean the beginning of the episode has Beckett get out of her bunk and talk with her friends only for Jennifer to come out of Becketts bunk soon after with her saying to Jennifer "Oh I thought you were still asleep"
I hope they work it out next season
2:40
Is it dumb that I dawwed at this?
Man they have such a good relationship
Getting some Harley Quinn X Poison Ivy vibes from these two.
nice reference to strange new worlds and wondering what Cerritos bingo is stacked with
Didn’t know those two were sweet on each other…
they stun so cutely. #relationshipgoals?
I throught when marina phasered herself and gennifer was cute, when Jennifer looked scared and shocked I said aww poor Jenny maybe she was scared but when she put her arm around marliner then marliner put her arm around Jennifer before they lay down when she phaseres the self’s was adorable this may sound weird but they look so great together, I would love to see those two get it on I men]an form a love story they two are my most fav them and tendi.
This shows me that I was right when I said Lower Decks would not be for me when I heard about it.
I can't help but notice that Jen is the only one there who isn't human.
Well this relation ship is going to fun to see when I get it on dvd to watch, still pissed sto didn't give us some lower deck shinnannigins missions to do
It’s so sweet 🥹
But I know this relationship won’t last 😢.
Who knows 😢 it might ?
There so cute 🥰 😢
"Um, should we use the phaser to just cut open the door and leave the room?"
"Well, if we do, we'll have to hear more of their poetry-"
"starts shooting*
It might not last forever, the thing is that its tottaly normal for relationships to not last.
Not every girl you date will be the ONE, and not every break up will be the end of the world.
Sometimed two people just realise theyve drifted apart, shake hands and walk away friends.
Man the girls on lower decks are starfleet ritos all the way disco will just break your ankles
Nika: Beckett Mariner has been a great addition in this series! He’s been an integral contributor to our defense for a while. 😊😊😊😊😊
i feel like Jennifer dropping mariner at the end of season 3 so immediately, is character assassination
Aaaaand, after the last episode....goodbye to this cute ship....(for now?)
I think there is a reason they focus in on Jennifer when she comes back in and she goes to her friends. Its probably gonna still be a ship but definitely added a bit of drama.
@@TheLastSane1 probably, but I hate that cliché
@@makorutledge202 I think its realistic. All of her friends and family thought she had done something rash, so its fitting her girlfriend would too. And she forgave her family and friends so it makes sense she would forgive Jennifer too.
Don't the phasers record data like time, target, power setting and user?
They should, but she did have a valid reason. The candles were burning oxygen and the girls were preventing her from blowing them out. Sealed room, multiple people and limited oxygen due to no power means that knocking them out would actually keep them alive longer. Though the panic of her hunting them down used up a good bit.
Merinaer and jennifer need to have a LONG talk i hope it's on camera
