So glad you enjoyed the build! Thank you so much for featuring it in a video Mactics! ♥
Dude this was fun. I put it on and immediately understood the power
I use a build very similar but I use a crafted pardon stardust gl in the primary with disorient grenade and Retrofit escapade with 4th time in the heavy slot.
this is imagine's build from nov. 2022 but updated - original video title is What if Stasis was Purple? - Destiny 2 Voidwalker Warlock build
Ure awesome bro!
Hell yeah bruh your build is brutal I'm bout to rock that shit.
I have to say, as someone who has run a basically identical build to this one. Veles-X(Seasonal Ritual Activity weapon from Season of the Seraph) works extremely well if you need more durability than just devour, as it has both Destabilizing Rounds and Repulsor Brace. With these two perks basically feeding into one another, it can spit out nearly as many debuffs as Collective Obligation, while also refreshing an overshield with every kill on a suppressed or destabilized combatant. I recommend Veles-X instead of an exotic like Vexcalibur due to it not needing special ammo, as well as it having access to Vanguard's Vindication as an origin perk, which acts as yet another safety net should your devour fall off(probably due to everything dying too fast), AND freeing up your exotic slot for something like Witherhoard or a Gjallarhorn if your team needs one
I agree with that whole comment. It is a surprisingly strong pulse to build into
When did Veles X get destabilizing rounds?
I still have my golden tricorn 😢
@@IC33E It didn't I'm just an idiot and forgot that it only had repulsor brace. Sorry if I got your hopes too high.
@somedudewithakeyboard5388 I use vouchsage with repulse and destabilize rounds with mine. Works like a charm and I don't have to have this exotic which I can't seem to get.
Sounds good, will try, but I dislike that pulse rifle. Doesn't hit hard enough or quick enough for me. I wonder if the new Brave versions of recluse and Else's rifle would do w/ similar perk combos.
In my limited knowledge, I think the only void weapon that comes close to passing around suppression is Wavesplitter. Picking up an orb of power grants the weapon with the maximum beam damage while also applying suppression. However, the big issue is that since it’s a special weapon, you could find yourself running out of ammo (unless you keep the special finish mod) and this also could help since your goal is to grab orbs anyway for Grenade Kickstart and/ or Special Ammo Finisher
Or Le Monarque
@25:41 you explained the Buff they gave collective obligation about a year ago. It used to be hella weak and you couldn’t get that rotation because the cooldown was wayyyy to long.
I second the wavesplitter, I've done so many good solo runs due to the damage buff and suppression mode.
Disrupt for future reference typically means it stuns Overload champions, but it also delays ability use of enemies, such as shutting down a Fallen Captain from teleporting.
It also does lower damage output on enemies it just does not have a visual indicator like other effects do and testing enemy damage is rather tough for the average person to measure. I don’t believe overload aka disrupt works on anything higher than a champion unlike sever, which does work on bosses/mini bosses/ultras.
The reason why it works so well on Secant Filaments is because it gives instantaneous Overload/Disrupt without the need to trigger artifact mod triggers but it’s also confused due to CotOG also weakening everything it touches so things die that much faster without the keen eye noticing.
anything that stops overloads also has that ability, but the those exotics boots are still garbage
As someone who has played alot of Void, i really love Unforgiven with Demo and Repulsor Brace - you'll be debuffing targets like 90% of the time, so constant overshields+more grenades!
What kind of gun is the Unforgiven
@@stoneycooper9758 Aggressive frame smg from Duality
@@wolf1nsoul damn. I really need ppl to raid and dungeon with...
Any time I put on a void class, I'm bringing out the demo Unforgiven. It's probably my favorite primary in the game.
@@stoneycooper9758 theres the fireteam finder which is quite useful at times
to anyone who uses this build, best way to remember the 3 dots on collective obligation is to look at it from how lethal the debuff is to the enemy, from top to bottom it is suppress (least lethal), weaken (kinda lethal) and volatile (most lethal since it also deals damage in an area). hope this helps!
le monaraque seems like a good alternate weapon for this build as the poison explosions would probably spread volatile to the nearby ads, graviton lance also seems like a good idea as the ad clear of that gun is just insane
I was saying the same thing!
using an alternative could be travelers chosen with catalyst because it gives you osmosis and using osmosis can turn it to void and proc volatile rounds and as well as the perk for it giving energy back for consuming those gift of light stacks feeds right back into ALL of your abilities, not just one which can open up the second slot for the GL harsh language w envious/repulsor for free shields cause youll always have a way to feed ur abilities and volatile will proc repulsor from class
The only problem with that is that you need to get a grenade KILL. An integral part of the video build is that you just have to hit the target to get weaken and suppress. Volatile is kinda a side effect.
@@redjedi3099 getting a grenade kill isn’t that bad when you have 2 infinite sources of energy, the first being devour with resets the timer on every kill and travelers which grants energy to all your abilities
@@MyMommysToy I meant more for higher end content where even red bars have way more health and might survive a grenade
The Pulse is a fun one, each dot refers to a different void debuff. Shooting someone once takes a copy of the debuff and holds it. Once you get at least 2 different ones saved, you can turn on the alternative fire and apply the saved debuffs on other enemies (potential debuffs include suppress, volatile and weaken). You can start a loop this way by shooting as many enemies to spread the debuff as much as possible and once the timer runs out on the spread, you can shoot an ad you left with all the debuffs and immediately re-proc it on the gun, setting up all 3 to be used again. In a fireteam of 3, all running Collective, the void debuffs are insane lol
I'm pretty sure it's just any 2 shots will allow you to use alt fire, even the same one
I always love Graviton Lance for void builds, especially when paired with Nezarec’s Sin.
The new seasonal bow "Lethophobia" is a great option for this build. The bow is a lightweight which allows for higher mobility while also having a lower draw time vs a precision bow. The bow can both have enhanced repulsor brace and enhanced golden tricorn. With the amount of grenades you will be pumping out with the void subclass you can easily keep the 50% damage buff granted from golden tricorn active while also benefiting from a void over shield when the bow gets destabilizing rounds from Echo of Instability. Its a win, win, win.
As you concluded, the whole build revolves around Collective Obligation, which is an integral part. Echo of Domineering is an odd choice: The only thing it effectively does is create a Void Breach.
I like Secant Filaments because a) Devour on demand, and more importantly b) easier Overload breaker options. usually those are very tedious to stun. For champion content, they are golden.
It's a +10 descipline fragment that helps you offset that -20 from undermining and it reloads your stowed weapons and creates a void breach, while the effect it gives is niche, it's useful for this build since you're supressing targets a lot of the time anyway.
Domineering, in this build, reloads your gun every time you suppress an enemy ... so it reloads your gun with almost every shot. After playing with it a bit, that seems to be the point. No wasting your Void Leech time reloading.
Thank you, I understand that it reloads your gun. So does Obligation itself tho.
i ran domineering to instantly reload when applying weaken to enemies, but didnt realize that re activating devour also triggered the instant reload, so it didnt work as effectively as i intended
@@essix5835 its still good since you still want to spread your first few bursts to apply debuffs between alot of the adds so devour wont be proc'ing yet, domineering fills up the downtime to where after you start spreading debuffs you can turn back to focusing on killing one to extend back your devour again
Will it build: Burning Snotcicle edition
- Concept -
Solar warlock is my jam, but this season's artifact is all about mixing and matching elemental effects, and banner titan is the strongest foundation for a mixed element build. Hands down the best survivability, great mobility with grapple, tons of super/ability uptime, naturally strong CQB, and unraveling rounds to augment the ranged play, so let's get crazy...
- Considerations -
1. Free unraveling rounds just by picking up an orb
2. Free radiant, scorch, and ignitions with an accurate solar weapon
3. Free shatter damage buff, stasis crystals, and slowing bursts
4. Synthoceps were nerfed in general, but buffed for glaives...
5. Winterbite is the strongest glaive and, when loaded, slows on every melee hit and freezes after 3 hits
6. Easy all-champion options - Radiant/Unraveling for barrier, Ignitions/Shatters and HC for Unstop, Slow and Auto for Overload
- The Build -
Class: Titan
Subclass: Berserker
Abilities: Rally Barricade, Grapple Grenade
Aspects: Banner of War, Into the Fray
Fragments: Fury, Generation, Transmutation, Isolation
Primary: Rufus with Paracausal Affinity since we're using strand and stasis
Secondary: Any incandescent hand cannon
Power: Winterbite
Armor: Synthoceps
Stats: Max resilience & Discipline, as much strength as possible
Head: Solar/Stasis Siphon, Hands-on, Harmonic Siphon
Arms: Heavy Handed, Impact Induction, Focusing Strike
Chest: Resists
Legs: 2x Strand Surge, Innervation
Class: Time Dilation, 2x Powerful Attraction
- Artifact -
1st Column: Hand cannon, auto rifle, dealer's choice
2nd Column: Flame Fiber Freeze, Kindling Trigger
3rd Column: Flint Striker, Torch, Wished into Being
4th Column: Unravelling Orbs, Pillar of Ice
5th Column: Hail the Storm, Rays of Precision
Play: Grapple melee and use melee charges to start banner and cover everything in snot, dunk tangle for woven mail and more snot, swap to Winterbite and whack everything (shield/shoot while banner regens your health if you're getting pummeled). When the immediate area is clear, pop barricade to collect orbs, use rufus to unravel/sever the next group, then obliterate them with hand cannon ignitions. Rinse and repeat.
Alternatives:
1. Radiant is overkill in most cases and tricky to maintain without Empyrean, so you could drop the hand cannon and precision artifact mods and go with an auto-loading / turnabout Explosive Personality for quick add-clear and truly absurd tankiness (banner, overshields, and land tank, oh my). This tends to be more fluid in easier content and allows you to take the solo and blast radius artifact mods for consistent damage and orbs, then swap thread of isolation for evolution and get the threadling artifact mod for super loogies... but is it really Frozen Snot-Fire if they're not unraveled, chilled/frozen, and scorched/ignited at the same time?
3. For any ranged DPS situation, a glaive power weapon is obviously not the best choice. My go-to here is to replace Winterbite with a chill clip power weapon and put Eriana's in second slot. Then just alternate weapons to keep unravel/radiant/scorch/ignite/slow/freeze/shatter up.
Hot take: I don’t think there is a replacement for collective obligation for this build without really changing how the build works
Collective obligation is the only weapons able to easily create/transfer suppression as a debuff, which to me is what’s unique about this build
thats exactly right. other weapons work, but it wont be nearly as effective
That is true, but it would still be nice for people who don't have it to have at least somewhat of a substitution for it.
@@stoneycooper9758 that’s what I’m saying though, substituting the gun in this case is basically a new build given how integral it is to the gameplay loop. So there isn’t really a substitution in this case.
I'd just use Le Monaqrque
@@db1872 that doesn’t really accomplish what the builds trying to do , with crowd controlling the area. You need suppression for that
I've watched more than enough of your build videos that I felt a subscription was earned...love the videos...so many good builds out there!
The Unforgiven with Demo and Repulsor Brace is always a top pick for any void debuff and grenade heavy build. However I've found it's reload speed can be a bit slow at times for my play style so two alternative picks for me would be Gnawing Hunger with Demo and Subsistence OR this year's version of The Title with Repulsor Brace (especially for this build as kills would grant you class ability energy too)
I've been using word of crota with repulsorbrace and destabilizing rounds. Age old bond has the dape perk combo but is less of an add killer imo. And if ppl don't have access to the raids in terms of fireteams, the scout of last season has destabilizing rounds for the extra volatile spread.
One thing to be wary of when running this build, putting down a rift doesn’t RESET the timer for devour. It either gives you devour or does nothing
Secant Filaments is actually weaker than it used to be. Pre devour changes it gave you the full benefits of devour, so you didn’t even need to use feed the void. You can use child of the old gods and chaos accelerant while being able to proc devour by simply casting an empowering rift. It was like having all three warlock aspects equipped at the same time.
Now you’d have to use feed the void or else the devour effect will be as it is on titans and hunters.
I hope they change this soon, maybe make it so secant filaments states “casting an empowering rift grants feed the void”.
Age-Old Bond with Destabilizing Rounds and Repulsor Brace would slap in this setup. Love the feel of that gun
you could try wavesplitter or maybe ruinous effigy but i think wavesplitter would fit the build more because it applied supression when you fire at a target for long enough which would then trigger domineering
Collective obliigation is my favorite primary exotic by far. Pair it with gyrfalcon's chest piece on hunter and you have infinite devour, volatile, invisabilty, and debuffs.
This season especially with overload pulse, because since it auto reloads I can fully kill overload champs with just collective obligation and never have to reload until they are dead, made master WR a breeze.
Whenever an exotic takes my ability to run collective obligation I always fallback to a Funnleweb with subsistence and frenzy or a Ros Aragor with subsistence and onslaught/over-under to still have that auto reloading-ish and the ability to still pass around volatile to enemies. Im Sure both of these would work great in this build aswell as I tend to use these on my void warlock in general.
Cant wait to try this build out since I always use collective already, and think this build is a great combination of what I love about void hunter and void warlock!
wavesplitter could be an option when you stay in your empowering rift. Could pair it with riptide/chill clip?
Yes I posted this also before noticing yours, didn’t consider riptide also. Double special I guess riptide would need gold to lead.
The main point of the build is to suppress everything. It would be better to have more uptime on the overcharge for wavesplitter, in which case you want a primary with the new perk that spawns orbs of power on sustained damage, and shoot to loot.
Has anyone mentioned arc with the bombardiers with Hunter? It’s pretty much a more explosive assassins cowl, and instead of a pulse grenade I just use a blinding grenade. Then you just loop melee and dodging.
I run secant filaments for pvp. I don’t run collective obligation but having a panic heal can get you back into a fight instead of running. Alternatively, when I’m anticipating enemies that are pushing around a corner or a lane, I’ll drop that to trigger devour for survivability and a damage buff from the rift. Doesn’t always work against team shots but it gives you a solid chance to score multi kills. Void soul is always nice too since you can force enemies out of cover that are losing the engagement.
The king of Void: Age-Old Bond
Ruinous Effigy would work wonderfully as I do believe the guard with the orb suppresses targets! Plus it’s part of that starter pack so obviously everyone has it!
It does ran that on void hunter when it first released
I forgot the name of it I was thinking the same thing
Edit: Damn, watching Mactics not knowing and trying to figure out how Collective Obligation works in real time was painful.
Honestly, since the build centers specifically around spreading void debuff, with a focus on suppression, there really isn't a different primary weapon that doesn't make it a different, worse, build. If you don't have Collective Obligation, you should just use a different void warlock build.
I personally reckon vouchsafe with the combo of repulser brace and destabilising rounds would be really fun with this build
Literally just equipped that same gun just before reading your comment same combo perk
WORD OF CROTA!!!! I know it’s a 180 but this thing hits! You can craft it and on mine I have Hammer and accurized rounds with enhanced Dragonfly and enhanced Destabilizing rounds!! I know it doesn’t go into the weaken effect but it definitely ties into the add clear part and you don’t have to even have grenade kills give destabilizing rounds you can switch it up and put echo of Cessation to create void breaches with all the volatile enemies you will be killing!!
I don't think anything would be able to completely replace Collective Obligation, because there is no way to suppress with a legendary, buy I think a good option to replicate the survivability would either be:
anything with repulsor brace and destabilizing rounds (personal choice of which exact weapon) or
word of crota for demolitionist (more suppressor nades thrown) and destabalizing rounds
Really Love the Navigator exotic Strand trace rifle. Combined with cyrtarachne's Facade you will have constant Woven Mail and Server the enemy, reducing His damage Output.
Grapple Grenade.
Marksman's Dodge.
Thread of ascent, Transmutation, continuity and Warding.
Whirling Maelstrom and Widow's Silk.
Any Armor Mods that increase your Grenade Regeneration.
Hope you enjoy the build and have fun with it🎉.
A few of my favorites are: word of crota with destabilizing and repulser, or age old bond with the same perks.
I prefer Word because it works with unstoppable champs
Best replacements imo are Buried Bloodline, Graviton Lance or Le Monarque. Pretty much all 3 function as "primaries" (I say buried bloodline too because the ammo economy is great when it comes to exploding waves of enemies at once) and they all are very strong ad clear void weapon. Only downside is Le Monarque's intrinsic anti overload in case you run volatile rounds for anti barrier, in that case the other 2 would work.
I have a build you might like, the exotic weapon is questionable but trust me.
It’s a solar warlock build(the infinite healing build) Using karnstein armlets and edge of intent glaive and just like the name it gives infinite healing.
-Aspects: Touch of flame, Icarus dash (or heat rises if you prefer)
-Fragments: Empyrean, Solace, benevolence, tempering or torches for better dps.
-Healing grenade, any melee you prefer, healing rift
- Armor mods:
Head: heavy and special ammo finder and harmonic siphon
Arms(karnstein armlets): grenade kickstart, harmonic dexterity
Chest: whatever you need for activity
Legs: Solar weapon surge, recuperation, and you decide for the last one ( I use harmonic holster)
Bond:outreach, explosive finisher, don’t of restoration
Your main goal is to get melee kills with glaive to prock restoration and cure. From armlets, while also shooting you r glaive every so often to use healing turrent. Use grenade and rift when no other source of healing is available. You can get restoration x2 if you finish an enemy (or use grenade)and keep it up if you keep getting melee kills.
Nice build, having the rift as extra devour source with disrupt is really useful. I might use Nezarec's Sin as an alternative to Secant filaments. Will allow more up time on abilities and can drop a grenade kickstart for something else
So I tried Nez sin with this build and it works great, but was missing the disrupt from the Secant rifts. Slapped on overload pulse to fix that for s23. After this season I'll probably go back to Secant filaments. Thanks again for sharing this build!
this has quickly become my favorite series on youtube
Wavesplitter. Wavesplitter would be great for this build as it provides decent damage and (if you've got someone making orbs) a good additional source of suppression if you don't have Collective Obligation.
I'd say vouchsafe (or any other void weapon suitable for you) with repulsor brace would be a good replacement for the extra overshield for survivability since you are debuffing everything.
Dude i'm really enjoying this series. Keep up the great work.
If you haven't tried the gun on hunter you should. Not home to check my build currently but the aspects are invisible dodge and defeating a void debuff'd target you go invis. Gerfalcon chest gives you volatile rounds and the same grenade/weakens aspect. Also have a similar build ready for the new crossbow if I can ever get it. The gameplay loop is grenade something big, dodge to get invis, start shooting same target, consume buffs with gun, kill more things/setup buffs again, repeat. You're mostly perma invis so it's super safe.
I know it's also kinda knew, but Buried Bloodline is one of my favorite weapons to pair with Secant Filaments. If you have the catalyst, you get weakening rounds while Devour is active. Add on the fragment that extends the duration of Devour, and you can have the buff up for up to 23 seconds! That's a long time to keep a weaken debuff active, even if it's only 15%
Would love a full build from you on other options for this build
I really like age-old bond with repulsor brace, Destabilizing rounds. Spreads volatile and gives you overshield for a little extra survivability.
overtime i see Mactics post a video I just am so relaxed watching it, thank you for what you do for the community I promise it is appreciated
I think another weapon that could go really well with the build is wavesplitter. When you pick up an orb of power, the trace rifle is fully charged so it has max damage, as opposed to its regular fluctuating damage, and sustained fire while it is buffed by an orb of power will suppress enemies. So, a special weapon would become your primary, which means you'd definitely get more use out of special finisher. As for a primary kinetic weapon, it could be a pulse rifle or scout rifle with shoot to loot. Shoot to loot got a buff where you can pick up orbs of power from far away. I haven't tested it, but theoretically you could buff wave splitter by picking up an orb with shoot to loot. You won't be suppressing as many enemies as easily as you do with collective obligation, however you can still suppress majors and minibosses, basically the enemirs that would be dealing the most damage to you, as opposed to minors (excluding minor wyverns). You will also output more damage as well, over collective obligation.
I have used this build before with le monarque. It is definitely better with collective obligation, but the lemon bow is still fun :)
I've played around with the echo of domineering previously and it syncs up well with Two Tailed Fox as the void rocket will supress so you can mag dump 2 salvos back to back without reloading which is nice.
Same slot weapon choices: Vexcalibur, if you want to go the route of buffing allies, but collective is probably best in slot for straight Void interaction and interplay with the debuffs, albeit with a learning curve. Maybe Buried Bloodline if you're not into raiding but are ok with dungeons?
Outside of the energy slot: Regnant with Destabilizing/Repulsor works into the debuffs pretty well, Doomed Petitioner's origin trait plays well into staying alive, and having Destabilizing rounds/Loose Change or Reconstruction/Precision Instrument makes it a flexible tool. Chivalric Fire fits the slot (but why on earth would you be running it); Taipan is a classic choice for non-raiders that fills the void (no pun intended) or Commemoration also slots in neatly for active raiders.
Kinetic slot... Appetence could give you Demo/Attrition or Clown|Overflow/Headstone if you want to be able to create your own cover. Heritage can give you Demo/Recombination, which makes it beefier in a build that is build around constant interaction with void. Trouble being that you have to get close with it, but Pardon our Dust with autoloading/Demo would be my go to, as disorienting enemies in high level content has saved more runs than I can count.
Probably too much, but you asked, I felt like answering. Cheers!
You'd think the obvious pick for a replacement would be Gravuton Lance due to it's void pulse status. However, I'm reccomending the sleeper pick of Wavesplitter for the high damage, suppression beam, and overdrive when you pick up one of the many available orbs
I think you could use either unforgiven smg with demo and repulsor brace or age old bond with destabilising and repulsor brace
If you don't have collective action the two guns I'd recommend for the build are: graviton Lance or positive outlook (especially if you have destabilizing rounds)
I think the real BUILD here is suppressor grenade+echo of undermining+echo of instability+collective obligation. All other things are just tweaks to turn all of this to eleven. Its all about putting collective obligation (which is secretly OP) to work. You can go Gyrfalcon hunter for example and replace instability. You can go with repulsor brace on Commemoration to get overshields, etc. Big space for imagination and improving core of the build with all classes.
Agreed. It's a super OP/big option build with many ways to own it up
Age old bond with destabilising rounds and repulsor brace :) can’t go wrong. Can allow you to change out the volatile fragment for something else like finishers give invis.
Collective obligation is what the build revolves around, so replacing it is basically making another build.
But the most obvious tweaks to the build after the end is playing around with some of the fragments. *Undermining* is great so one grenade applies both debuffs, as well as *Instability* for another source of volatile that isn't your melee. But I could be convinced to drop instability if you really aren't getting much use out of volatile rounds.
As for the other two; *Expulsion* is purely a vibes fragment, it's not strictly _neccessary,_ so using it depends entirely on if you just want to see more booms in your life. *Domineering* is cute, but with the recommended weapons auto-reloading on other stuff already, it's not doing much other than a void breach.
Fragments on the top of my mind to try out(in order of personal taste and power): *Harvest* (weakened defeats drop OoP and breach, 10s cooldown), *Persistence* (void buffs last longer, -10 Rec), *Obscurity* (finishers provide invis +10 Rec), and *Starvation* (OoP give devour, -10 Rec).

I would use Ros Argo with Repulsar Brace and Onslaught, if you could get it to drop lol. Love your videos! Taking a few weeks off the game to focus on school but build videos have my brain happy
I just started messing around with warlock recently, but a half decent weapon to “replace” collective obligation in this build might be Graviton Lance to keep with the crowd control function of the build
The gun works with invisibility as well. Leach that too. Suppress volatile weaken devour an invisible too.
Harsh language could put some work in with envious destabilizing rounds, a void lmg with demo would give a good option for even more cc.
I just got Collective Obligation as a drop yesterday and then this video popped up on my notifications right after, perfect timing Mactics and thank you! I haven't had a chance yet to play with it, and now I have a good starting point :)
Instead of collective obligation maybe:
-Unforgiven with;
Demo & Repulsor Brace, for extra overshield
-Funnelweb with;
Subsistence & Frenzy
-Wavesplitter, for suppres aswell. (Exotic)
- Buried bloodline (exotic), even more devour
- (Heavy) Royal Entry with;
Field prep & clown cartridge, for quick burst damage
Echo of Harvest would work nicely here as well. You're constantly weakening targets through grenades and Collective Obligation that you would create so many Orbs and Void Breaches. As far as weapons to replace the ones found in raids, Riptide is great with Chill Clip for that crowd control, plenty of good void energy weapons with Repulsor Brace for almost infinite overshield such as Veles-X or Ros Arago IV, and Deterministic Chaos which every 4th shot weakens targets and makes them volatile.
Can’t tell you how happy I am to see Secant Filaments getting love. Was one of the very few exotics I really wanted on Warlock and didn’t disappoint when I got it
Suppressed, Volatile, Weakened I think were the 3. You shoot the debuffs for a total of about 15 seconds. When that time runs out if an enemy has any of those debuffs and you shoot them you get them back. In essence you can have infinite debuffs, I use this on a Ursa Titan with suppress grenades and in one grenade I get all 3 debuffs
Brings me to what I wanted to say earlier. It’s tough to choose an alternate to Collective because when it’s used the right way it’s honestly a slept on weapon. You found out, yes ANY weapon you use while in that rift stuns overloads
Vortex Nova or nova warp 👀
there are so many good void weapons now that have destabilizing rounds and/or repulsor brace. i personally like age old bond. another good one would probably be the new exotic from warlord's ruin (buried bloodline) since it will help with survivability in addition to working well with the void fragments for this build.
I could see a positive outlook (season of the deep vanguard weapon) as a good alternate. Can get a roll with either destabilizing rounds to spread more debuffs or repulsor brace for the void overshield after killing void debuffed enemies
Amazing build, def saving this one for when it's a void season.
I remember trying the Secant Filaments with my regular aspects (Child of the old god and the one that let you charge the nade) and thinking it's not that great, since with those two aspects you don't get the insta health and I really don't like running empowering in higher end content, I never thought that feed the void aspect would give you insta full hp when casting it, that is game changing!
Hey mactics love this build man !! Thanks for being detailed as hell !! Personally I’ve been playin around with the manticore it feeds into our major ability as warlocks to fly around lol I use it with your nothing manacles build and a personal build of mine using the child of gods exotic !! I’ve had lots of fun with it !!
This also kinda frees up your primary to be a strong sniper mixed with rocket for the dungeon ! Or cataclysmic !
Demo Ungorgiven is definitely my baby when it comes to void builds, especially on warlock. Smgs are my jam and it synergizes so well
Hmmm the build really revolves more around Collective Obligation and the ability to spread depuffs than it does Secant Filaments. However, if someone doesn't have Collective, there are replacements that could provide a similar feel. I would exchange Collective Obligation with Wavesplitter. And replace Secant Filaments with either Nezarec's Sin or Contraverse Hold. I would also change from a suppression grenade to a Vortex Grenade. And from an Empowering Rift to a Healing one. As for the fragments I would exchange Echo of Domineering with either Echo of Harvest for more void Breachs, or Echo of Starvation for more Devour. While it is true that we would lose the ease of spreading depuffs that Collective Obligations offers, we will still be able to spread all three depuffs constantly with those changes. Wavesplitter can apply Suppression (intrinsically) and Volatile from Echo of Instability. Our grenades will still Weaken targets because of Echo of Undermining, and with our new exotic armor choice, we will be able to throw far more grenades. We will also still be able to weaken from our child of old gods, which we can deploy more often. So if you can use Collective Obligation, go for it, but if you don't have it, the fun is not over! I like this build. Kudos to Essix!
Knew this build would be covered. Subbing to you took my game from okay to great
I ran basically this exact build for 2-3 seasons and it's deecent for high end content. You absolutely do need coollective for this build - the entire premise of runnign suppressor grenade is that you get both suppress and volatile off grenade kills, then weaken from CHOGs - covering all 3 debuffs for collective. Without Collective you might as well run vortex or scatter grenade.
What I found with the build is that collective is just so much better on hunter with gyrfalcons - on warlock you basically have a strictly worse, slower version of their build. I've since switched back to using contraverse as it's faster and ultimately stronger. I would consider using it again in a season with more void oriented seasonal mods.
Collective obligation is definitely a fun gun to use. It also works really well using the gyrfalcon’s hunter build with suppression grenade and the fragment that causes grenades to weaken. Going invisible causes it to reload so the only time you really have to manually reload is against tanky enemies.
graviton lance

with Briarbands, you can get about 4 child of the old gods going at once (if there's enough enemies) and manage the same affect as this build as far as crowd control.
Ive even somewhat paralyzed the big ascendant knights in the weekly ascendant challenges.
Solar Warlock Invincibility Boss Shredder build.
Fragments: Solace, Torches, Ashes, and Empyrean
Aspects: Heat rises. I use Touch of Flame for extra DPS but if you like Icarus Dash you can use it.
Fusion/Solar grenade (I use Fusion grenade for faster cool down), Incinerator snap, Pheonix Dive, and Well of Radiance.
Crafted Ammit AR2 Full Bore, Ricochet Rounds, Incandescent, and Stats for all. I use Dragon's Breath and seasonal fusion (If crafted god roll that is better)
Mods: (I prioritize resiliance)
Helmet: Harmonic Siphon x2, Solar Targeting
Arms: Focusing Strike x2, Fastball..... (I know you don't like it)
Chest: Void, Solar, Arc resistance
Legs: Absolution, Insulation, and Orbs of Restoration
Class: Distribution, Bomber, and Reaper
To start loop you need to activate heat rises then pheonix dive, this will activate restoration x2 and make you invincible (basically). You will use your powered melee to get radiant or use artifact mods. You will use Ammit and with artifact mods you will get ignitions with precision kills, and proc incandescant with kills that are precision or non-precision. That gives you invincibility, but we need the boss shredder. When in DPS you use well then go: grenade, melee, grenade, melee, on and on. Once you run out of infinite ability cool down you use god roll fusion and dragon's breath for extra DPS and then continue to be invincible and shred bosses.

If you read this thank you for your time Mactics.
Honestly i think age old bond would be good for this build using repulsor brace and destabilizing rounds for overshield and void explosion
could replace with something like wave splitter that also suppreses targets, maybe run special finisher mod for the special ammo
haven't finished watching yet, but i think lemon arc would be a good replacement.
also, pretty sure disrupt is the debuff from overload?
I’m late to this party, but I’m seeing notes about Repulsor Brace and just want to add that you can craft commemoration with it. Take all that you have (including your current exotic weapon) and an option for overshields basically anytime?
Great build. I have always wanted to do a secant filaments build but never took the time to actually do it. This pairs great with a Vouchsafe I got with repulsor brace and destabalizing rounds. I thought that would be a PVE boss so I just shoved it in my vault. Thanks for the video!
Wow! This build looks awesome! Thank you for sharing!
Don't have Collective Obligation so I tried replacing it with a Repulsor Brace/Destabilizing Rounds Vouchsafe. I think it works pretty well and it frees up the exotic slot for Deterministic Chaos which makes up for the loss of Collective Obligation's debuff rounds slightly. Collective is probably the best for this build though.
Le monarch might be a fun alternative in this build for poison to spread and act as good ad clear for easy renewal of devour. Plus with unstop being bows this season it could help a lot while your rift is overload with the boots
Le monarch already stuns overloads so it won’t work with unstop
@@abdullahimuse1654 ah did not know that thanks for the info
I think a few solid options would be grav lance for a similar playstyle (maybe even le monarch), traveler's chosen for that ability spam. Sleeper pick is fighting lion that things goes crazy with volatile rounds. But really as others have said, without collective this build really falls apart imo and theres no easy replacement
I haven't used it too much but Ive loved Buried Bloodline on both hunters and warlocks. It would change up the build to feeding a little more into devour though as well.
To keep the build it really need collective, but i could also see feeding more into volatile with levi breath and a weapon with debstabilizing and a kinetic of your choice.
I’m usually a hunter main so I enjoyed the blade barrage build the most with shards of galanor! Seems like you always have your super up with it
I think Wavesplitter or Deterministic Chaos could be good substitutes for Collective Obligation
@mactics Love this series, thanks for putting them out so frequently. Question: would it be possible to create and include a DIM link for the final buiild witht these videos?
A void weapon that would definitely go well with this build is the season 19 ritual weapon veles-x with repulsor brace and either golden tricorn or kill clip
With overload pulse this season id definitely run briarbinds with this for the constant weaken healing rift and ability energy. Gives you more chances to get volatile. Just complements the build more than secant filaments
“The Title” is a 720 rpm aggressive frame void smg that dropped the Guardian Games event. Most notable for its time in the sun as a completely broken PVP weapon. It still shines in the world of PVE. A roll like repulsor brace/threat detector sounds juicy enough but the unsung hero is the origin trait “Classy Contender” which provides 5% class ability energy per kill, which goes crazy when mixed with volatile rounds. A build like this that is about getting that instant devour on demand from casting your empowering rift. This weapon will ensure your class ability is ALWAYS available 😎
I ran the same thing with Wavesplitter for a while but teh chill clip GL is a great touch. My current task is Strand - Void
You are - mainly - using a void weapon: combine with nazarec's sin to get energy even faster. More rifts, more nades and more novas for extra damage + extra survivability and even faster debuff up time (due to even faster nade regen). I'd also switch back to healing rift since this would be a change to exotic armor piece anyway - the boots and empowering rift combo no longer matters if you change the armor piece.
I think Wavesplitter is a really underrated exotic and would be a perfect replacement for collective obligation, ammo economy can be difficult to manage but countered with a special finisher mod which isnt that costly. It's also got intrinsic suppression after you pick up an orb, with a damage boost and works extremely well with domineering for constant reloads with orbs reloading it to max too.
One favorite void weapon is commemoration with reconstruction and repulser brace for constant overshields
It's difficult to replace Collective, but I think Buried Bloodline would be adequate
Not a primary, but I definitely think you could make wavesplitter work as well.
@@infinitedeath1384that's a very clever thought
@@infinitedeath1384 Not a primary but it may as well be. Just run a special ammo finder perk and you basically have nearly infinite ammo with it. If you run out, get a few kills with a primary and you get pretty well a full magazine back. The ammo economy for Buried Bloodline is insanely generous.
Just a suggestion, would it be possible to put up a wrap/pic/dim link etc of the changes etc you’d apply to the build to perfect it in your eyes?
Great vids though and thanks
Love the videos, keep em commin…Im new to Destiny, been playin since the start of Wish. What would be an ideal build for my Lock? Im currently sitting at 1783 power level and dont have alot of the gear you mentioned in your video. I have been focusing on my Discipline and Resilience for now.. Is that ok or should i be looking to boost other aspects of ky player first until i get better gear? Thank you!!
Age-Old Bond with Repulser Brace & Destabilizating Rounds. Child of the Old Gods will supply weaken. Weapon will provide volatile around kill (overshield on killing them), and suppressor grenade for suppression. Gives you access to all void verbs easily (aside from invisibility).
Graviton Lance works amazingly with void builds and volatile as it can spread volatile with its seekers
