As you shoot the wave splitter, there are two lines on either side of your reticle while aiming in. The outside lines do not change, the inside lines do. It’s very subtle. When the inside lines are small, it’s low power, and as the lines get bigger, there’s more power. When you pick up an orb of power, the inside lines get bigger than the outside lines, meaning you have supercharged battery. The screen also does tell you the power of your shot as another comment has already mentioned. When the waves on the screen are in sync, it’s on low power and as the waves become more chaotic and split apart, the damage increases, hence the name “wave splitter.”Additionally, the tubes on the side of the gun will tell you. When one tube is being filled, it’s on low power, two tubes is medium power, three tubes is max power. I don’t believe there is any visual difference between max power and supercharged with regards to the tubes.

Special Finisher would slot in super easily, with how much charge you end up having. Dropping Bomber would be fine considering you've got Devour and Child for grenade energy recovery, and you're leaning more into special weapon damage anyway.

For wavespliter the lines are actually indicators of which tier of damage you’re in, when you aim down sights. One line is base damage. Two lines is mid tier damage. Three or more lines is maximum damage (Supercharge battery). Basically, if the lines are in a “wave” animation you’re at maximum damage.

The Grenade Kickstart isn't giving that much compared to just any void kill, and with the build revolving around getting void kills and having Wavesplitter/any void special up and running, you could probably pivot it out to a Special Finisher instead to keep the ammo economy rolling.

    • @seabasswallyworld
      @seabasswallyworld 8 месяцев назад +9

Really sucks how so many ability regen mods got nerfed into the ground. Kickstart mods take too many armor charges and mod energy for such a little payoff now.

    • @josh___something
      @josh___something 8 месяцев назад +5

@@seabasswallyworld I already disliked kickstarts anyways, Innervation/Absolution/Orbs of Restoration gives more energy per orb on average even before, and only cost 1-3 energy. Much better than using Stacks on Stacks for 4 energy and still leaves enough room for some surges.

You should try to use a shoot to loot weapon in the primary slot with this because then you can activate the Wavesplitter perk without having to go in harms way. Maybe use an explosive payload one + shoot to loot one so you can get double special ammo to feed back into it even more :)

Wavesplitter screen: 1 wavy line = low power, 2 lines = mid power, 3 lines = max power. The power levels fluctuate as you hold down the trigger, IIRC always starting at low power, then changing somewhat randomly (there is a set pattern it rotates through IIRC)
And as you said, the coils on the side are another visual indicator of power level, but they're harder to see in ADS mode than the screen

The lines on the screen determine what tier of damage you're in, 1 line is tier one, a couple lines is tier 2, and a bunch of lines is tier 3 or overcharged. The lines are more wavy while not firing and then bunch up while firing. Hope this helps

Scatter Signal with Slice + Wavesplitter is a great combo if you're looking for more risk/reward with the build. Weaken+Sever at the ready is super potent for harder content and helps tame spongier targets. With Commemoration you've always got a backup ad clear option, and Special Finisher really does a lot of work towards supporting double special loadouts.

I used something like this for a few seasons after Void 3.0 came out. I feel like we put too much focus on the Wavesplitter in this video tho. Verity’s definitely «ok» for most content, but does a worse job than Nezarec’s Sin. HOWEVER, if you have a teammate running a similar, or the exact same build, you can clear out entire rooms in seconds with a few grenades that you btw can constantly spam as long as there’s enemies and you have Death Throes up. Your scatter grenades do massive damage, kills with those grenades make things explode again, you have everything stacked to give you grenades faster than you can throw them, and nothing can kill you. Wavesplitter literally just being a juiced up void weapon all the time is only there to snatch a few easy kills to keep that Death Throes going. This is good in the Coil, but if you get it going it can clean house in even harder content.

the damage from wavesplitter 3 oscillating damages is random it will randomly pick a damage when its firing and will change while youre firing, the little screen will show how much damage its doing WHILE SHOOTING based on how crazy the lines are going, if they calm all together its low, and if theyre all over the place its doing max damage, and while youre not shooting the lines are just passively moving that means nothing

I was kinda yelling at the screen for a few minutes before 12:34 mark on how this weapon works (currently paused at that mark for the emblem, not for me). This weapon has history in the game that got a massive buff in Witch Queen 3.0(?). It's shooting separate waves, once they synchronize, they deal max damage. Pre-buff, you had to get separate kills. 1-2 red bars fills one of the cylinders/tube ampso on the right, next you had to get 3-6 kills for other cylinder, then finally more kills to get max damage. Orange and yellow bars progressed this even more. This weapon was introduced when add clearing wasn't what it is now... The buff took that time from getting max stacks from 5-9 seconds to almost instantly now. The buff add the catalyst of picking up an orb of power giving max damage.... or so I think (my clan is Too Old to Grind, and at mid 30's, blerp). Just want to add as a side note as this was in my head for awhile while watching this video.... Bungie use to bottleneck exotics into the same function. Before builds with 3.0, many of the exotics of the same gun type did very similar things. Trace rifles were sustained damage = more damage/effects. Kinda still are, but there's variations. Bows were ad clear, but the last 2 exotics are crowd control with ad clear. Good luck guardian!

I legit run this exact build with 1 difference, I can’t remember what it’s called but there’s a fragment or aspect (always get them mixed up) that killing a weakened or suppressed target grants an orb of light, can give you permanent supercharged if your volatile rounds keep popping, you’ll make orbs like crazy and if you add firepower for the grenade then you’ll make 3+ orbs per grenade kill and so the cycle never stops 😂

It has three levels of damage. Level 1 is slightly lower than other trace rifles, level 2 is slightly higher than other trace rifles, level 3 is way higher than other trace rifles.
When you start firing the gun starts at level 2, goes to level 1 after about a second, then another second later goes to level 3. After a second it goes back to level 2 and repeats this processes. Every time you pull the trigger it starts at level 2.
Picking up an orb of power puts the gun into the level 3 mode for 5 second, but picking up multiple orbs of power can extend this timer up to 10 seconds. the lines just move to show the cycle of damage as to what tier you are in at the time hope this helps :)

Thanks for putting together another warlock build. I have horrid stat rolls on my Verity's Brow, but part of the fun is farming for better gear. One modification I'm going to test out is getting a kenetic weapon with Osmosis on it (Breakneck AR in my current armory) since we're frequently tossing grendades. A scout or hand-cannon, bow or scout might be better, but I'm working with what I have, heh.

I'm a little late but basically there's two ways i use to know the difference in powers . first off when your looking at the reticle on the sides of the beams are color coded. blue means low power. green is medium and yellow is high power. the second way to tell is to look at the 3 energy tubes on the side. If 1 is on then its low power. two is medium. 3 is high power. hope this helps seeing it easier. I am glad to see you enjoyed your time using wave splitter since i myself love to use trace rifles in general especially wave splitter and cold heart.

Build idea I haven't seen much of anywhere so far.
This works for solar or strand with minimal adjustments.
The star of this build is apotheosis veil
    For solar aspects
Heat rises and touch of flame
Aspects will be ember of torches, ember of blistering, ember of resolve and ember of char.
Abilities would be incinerator snap and fusion grenade with healing rift and well of radiance.
Loadout will be a little free reign depending on what you're doing and what you prefer.
Always have a solar energy weapon that is good at precision kills like drang or a hand cannon.
Alternate weapon suggestions would be dragons breath for exotic or a demolitionist rocket
And then a demolitionist grenade launcher special like ignition code or anything that has demolitionist for that extra grenade energy and rapid reload during dps.
Artifact mods will involve rays of precision, revitalising blast, kindling blast and wished into being. The rest are free reign on what you want.
Mod recommendations would be to focus high intellect and resilience
Heat rises will solve the melee regen issue and constant ignitions solve the grenade regen issue.
Have solar siphon, double heavy handed and a firepower mod, reserves for your heavy of choice and invigoration and recuperation mods on legs as well as a solar surge mod
Reaper, time dilation and bomber on legs.
    For strand
Aspects are weavers call and the wanderer
Abilities are healing rift and threadling grenades
Fragments are thread of transmutation, generation, evolution and warding.
Rock a strand weapon with the unravelling orbs and horde shuttle artifact mods a solar weapon with kindling trigger, flint striker and rays of precision
    And then any demolitionist heavy
Same idea with the grenade focus, adjust build for suitable regens.
And when you are ready to super a target, drop your rift cast the super and then spam grenades and rockets for 8 seconds.

I will respect the original challenge: wave splitter switches between 3 different firing modes randomly while firing, the modes determine damage ranging from low, medium, and high damage output. the coils on the top right side of the weapon light up to show your firing mode, with 3 being high and 1 being low. the small screen below the sight shows the magazine capacity with a green bar along the bottom of the screen and the waves on the screen show damage mode with a single still line meaning low damage and multiple lines waving out of sync meaning high damage. 2 bars on either side of the sight are also visible when aiming down sights that show what firing mode you are in with a short line meaning low damage and a long line meaning high damage. there is no way of controlling what firing mode the wave splitter shoots in aside from picking up an orb of power as doing so will make the wave splitter fire at its highest damaging mode for a couple seconds.
    hope this helps :)

The guy in your twitch chat had it backwards, when you ADS and fire the weapon the screen above your ammo counter shows your level of damage. Theres 1 constant line for weak damage and the color of the line is white. The more lines that spin around that center line means higher damage to a maximum of 4 lines and the color changes to red. The left part of the little screen will also glow brighter in correlation to the beams bright higher damage look. Theres also 3 vacuum tubes on the right side of the gun that will have more tubes lit to show which level of damage youre on if youre not ADSing.

There are two ways to see the best version of the beam. The first way: is the oscillating beam; the more waves there are on the screen (3 or 4, I can't see the screen properly) the higher the damage output. The second way is the light bulbs on the side of the gun which light up from 1 to 3 to signify the level of damage.

Been playing around with this a few hours, here's some tweaks I made. Obviously depends on your stat versatility and where you can afford 2/3/4 point mods
Swapped out echo of instability for echo of starvation. Starvation only gives 8 seconds of devour at most, but it's enough to get the chain going again if your grenade is down or your teammates are stealing all your kills and not making orbs. Was having trouble surviving in nightfalls, feel like this will help. It kind of replaces recuperation (a must on most builds) too. The more you can keep devour going, the more you can get away with lower recov
Using a demo primary/heavy is the thing that is necessary in this build IMO. I'm trying out the hand canon something new with feeding frenzy/demo, and it replaces the need for grenade kickstart entirely (along with innervation). I spec'd into stasis siphon with it, so no matter what gun I'm using it can make orbs. A demo/osmosis judgment would be my ideal pick, hand canons are just too good right now.
Also, with wavesplitter - since you need to pick up an orb to get it going anyway, and there's really no other need for the armor charge, why not replace all that grenade kickstart stuff into surges instead. Keeping stacks on stacks but swapping reaper for time dilation, it would make wavesplitter better for what you're using it for - DPS. Putting mods into surges would also let you run slightly lower stats, which frees up mod points

    STASIS TITAN BUILD w/ HOARFROST-Z
    Super strong ability regen build
    Behemoth Subclass
    Glacier grenade
Aspects: tectonic harvest, howl of the storm
    Fragments: rime, fissures, conduction, chains
    MODS
    Helmet: 2x dynamo, kinetic siphon
Arms: impact induction, momentum transfer, bolstering detonation
Chest: 2x charged up, or 1 charged up mod with damage resit mods. Up for preference honestly
    Legs: innervation, invigoration, elemental charge
Mark: utility kickstart, powerful attraction, bomber
For weapons it depends on the situation really. For ad clear, Monte Carlo with a wave frame GL (I use explosive personality w/ auto loading and unrelenting, works great for breaking stasis crystals quick and easy) heavy is personal preference. For DPS I use sunshot or vex both w/ catalyst, auto loading and chill clip fusion and rocket. Riptide and palmyra- b are fantastic options for this.
I’ve used this same build for a few seasons now so artifact mods aren’t necessary but they do help make the a little stronger. Ones I would recommend: pillar of ice, hail the storm, wished into being. If you’re running solar weapons: rays or precision and flint striker.
    Thanks Mactics!

Equipping Echo of Domineering will have Wavesplitter auto-reload itself as its suppressing targets (+defeating suppressed targets creates void breach +mobility).
    Love the series!

The beam looks much bigger when you are at max charge. In surprised you've never used it, it was only the best weapon in the game when lightfall dropped and we had season of the Volatile rounds. Verity is great but uncharged scatter grenades aren't a great choice.

Plunderthabooty did this build a few days ago. I wonder if some people are pulling from other places...lol
But this build is pretty wild.
Actually his used some other weapons but its the void + this helmet and other parts are very similar.
That exotic isnt tree bark, its hive bone. So any armor that has hive bones or bone on it in general works. But theres only a few shaders that match. I spent a solid 20min going through every single option when i made this build.

Wavesplitter says in the description it OSCILLATES between the damage outputs. So it'll constantly cycle between the waves. There's no way to control it. But there is the indication of the forms as you point out with the pods on the right of the gun

Weapons for this build that you should/could use
Kinetic: Hung Jury with shoot to loot and kinetic tremors
Shoot to loot can grab orbs of power, this can remedy poor ammo economy
Heavy: Regant GL gets repulsor brace and envious assassin

I love how mr john Destiny buildcrafter doesn't know how Wavesplitter works.
The lines on the screen of wavesplitter indicate how much damage it's doing when not supercharged, the more condensed the lines the higher the damage. Wavesplitter always starts off with the lowest damage setting when you begin firing but will *randomly* fluctuate between low-mid-high modes when holding down the fire button. When it's supercharged the screen shows its default display until the supercharge ends but it's doing the highest damage setting on top of suppressing.

A slightly weird thing about Wave Splitter is that when you first shoot it it does 2nd form damage, then quickly drops to 1st form before slowly going back up to 2nd and then 3rd kinda fast.

(Unlikely ally) a sloar titan build with armamentarium to turn our healing nades into somthing that can pack a punch the build relies on sunspot to suplement grenade energy and turns the teselation into an answer for heavy bars and an i teresting option for an inzanagi like exotic for suuplemental dps without having to rely on percision hits the two healing nades allows useage of both healing and damage as well as allowing 3 buffed tesselation shots to use inbetween rockets

Hello Matics, My only problem with a lot of these builds is most of the amor used has 5 slots for mods! I only have 4 slots. I don't run any dungeons because I mostly solo

    • @ajeenius7437
      @ajeenius7437 8 месяцев назад +1

The extra slot only gives +3 to a stat of your choice. You can't slot any other mods in that slot, and you really don't need it to make the build. All the mods that cost energy are the same you have on non-artifice armor. You might have a slightly harder time to get double 100 stats, but it doesn't make any significant difference if you have tier 9 or 8 of a stat instead, although I would for sure recommend tier 10 resilience still.

Speaking of trace rifles, I'd love to see an Ager's build at some point. Preferably on Warlock, but I suppose the other classes deserve some love too.

Wavesplitters Laser levels oscillate while holding the trigger. The lines in the display appear to be aesthetic....and obviously you get overcharge from orb pick up. So it appears that it puts the same damge down until you overcharge the battery

I find that using hero’s burden is good substitute if you can’t get enough special. If you grind out IB, a good hero’s burden can get wild volitile rounds. Although, I would also recommend (if energy works) getting the special finisher because you noted high armor charges, which can always make a brick

For the Kinetic weapon just run something with osmosis. A Fire Fright works really well. I use one with 4th times and Osmosis and it works great. These types of builds are very dependent on doing as much damage that matches your sub class as possible. Why not do that damage constantly? Osmosis will basically be up indefinitely with all the grenades your throwing.

Steeplechase ornaments from season 12 (Hunt) work fairly well with Verity’s. Hive themed aesthetic.

    WAVESPLITTER EXPLANATION (EMBLEM PLEASE)!
WS has 3 different levels of “oscillation”, (DPS). When you pull the trigger it ALWAYS starts at level 2, then goes DOWN to level 1 after a brief period of sustained damage, then to level 3, level 2, 1… etc. It repeats as you sustain your damage, (aka hold down the trigger).
The waves on the screen and tubes on the right DO indicate the level. 2 tubes fill up and 2 lines move in a wave for level 2 when you first pull the trigger, then 1 tube and 1 brief flat line for level 1, then 3 lines move in a faster wave for the third level, then BACK to 2 lines/ tubes etc.
There IS a catalyst in the database that says it increases range by 10, and magazine by 30.
Thank you and good night! (Also emblem please)!
BONUS INFO- Omolon actually tested Wavesplitter on guardians when in development. They said that being hit with is sounded like “a scream you hear in your bones”, “a dying star”, and “a knife shaped like B flat”
Wavesplitter actually does not shoot “ammo”, but SOUND WAVES- It has an “onboard matter transmuter” that turns our ammo pickups into electrical energy that powers the “waveform emitter”.

The description on Wavesplitter refers to its original behavior early in D2. Bungie updated a bunch of exoitcs and Wavesplitter was locked into default damage (2 cylinders) with the orb pick up activting the superbeam (3 cylinders) and adding the supression mechanic. Far as I remember anyway.

This Season, kindling trigger and Polaris Lance with ember of ashes can get you ignitions on command so long as you can hit your precision shots. I dont know if someone in your Discord has reccomended a build with that combo yet, but I suggest you give it a try!

    • @therussbuss5314
      @therussbuss5314 8 месяцев назад +1

@@Mashamazzi Warlock has Dawn Chorus, Titain has Phoenix Cradle.
I'm still looking into Hunters. If dragonfly kills (procced by a precision kill) or ignition kills caused by a precision hit trigger the new Celestial Nighthawk, then Hunters may have a chance too.

It just cycles the longer you shoot starting at high and then medium the high but if you pick up an orb of power it sets it at high and suppresses after 2 seconds of shooting a combatant
