I use this same build in gms but I use the edge of action glaive. Freaking unstoppable
As someone who has only been playing d2 for a year, I cant say anything about d1 bosses or bosses that have been sunset, however, in the current game my favourite boss would be Riven. Not necessarily because of the boss fight, but because of all the awesome ahamkara lore and history and because ahamkaras are basically badass dragons
Do the perfect guard stacks work with the glaive? or only with the sword?@@xsoxuxlxeaterx
Bosses: "He's just standing there... MENACINGLY!!!"
One of my favorite episodes lol😂
Void Titan bublle got nothing on this😂
I use this quote so often but nobody understands
Cringe
@@mally2842 it's cringe to reply to a comment 2 months later.
Also you're cringe incarnate, fake name and anime profile picture. doesn't get more cringe than that
When your titan picks up the Well of Radiance and uses it as a shield...
That's so funny I'm using that 🤣
The guy who made the build sounds like he studied marketing for all his life just to convince you to try the build XD
Sells it to me every time
Wanted to share a fun build I have been messing with:
I am hunter main. I never got a good roll for Mothkeeper’s Wraps last season making me want to try it this season. I also started D2 (the second time) around Beyond Light making me a sucker for Stasis Hunter.
SnowBug build
Exotic weapon: Ex Diris / Buried Bloodline
Exotic armor: Mothkeeper’s Wraps
Mothkeeper will change your grenade to two blinding arc grenades. You will have your two class shurikens. I start by dodging into combat to proc Reaper. I throw the first shuriken to apply slow to a group. When killing slowed opponents it will create stasis shards which will provide our armor charges. I kill the slowed target and collect the orb to start unraveling rounds. From here you can let loose, throwing your moths, shurikens, dodging for more shurikens and Reaper, creating more orbs and unraveling rounds. For extra spice I try to keep a Silence and Squall for tougher spots and a nice light show of unraveling rounds, arc/ void moths, and hatchlings. Giving the guardian amplified, and the team void overshields.
A lot of this build is off stasis grenade recharge fragments and stasis/ strand artifact mods.
Stat emphasis should be on Mobility, Resilience, and Discipline.
I have a problem of having to have 100s on Mobility and Resilience.
I run Mobility 100, Resilience 100, 60 Discipline, and 60 Intellect.
(Works fine, but could be cooler haha)
Revenant
Gambler’s Dodge
Triple Jump
Withering Blade
Duskfield Grenade (shortest cooldown for Mothkeeper’s)
Grim Harvest
Touch of Winter
Whisper of Shards - Must (stasis crystals are limited solo but your super and shuriken can still accomplish it)
Whisper of Torment - Must
Whisper of Rending
Whisper of Conduction
Whisper of Rime
Those can be changed. Just what I use currently.
Armor Mods:
Head: Strand siphon and dynamo
Arms: Grenade kickstart and impact induction
Chest: Charged up
Legs: Recuperation, Elemental charge, and stack on stacks (This make every so many shards count as 2 armor charges)
Class: Bomber, Powerful attraction, and Reaper
Guns:
Strand primary:
Rufus’s Fury - Demolitionist (overload stun)
Round Robin - Hatchling (unstoppable stun) (you also have blinding grenades, Mykel’s may be nice as well but I don’t have it)
Energy:
Ex Diris - this will play into Mothkeeper’s
Buried Bloodline - this is an audible but it works well. You lose the extra moths but potentially gain Anti- Barrier and Devour (healing and grenade back)
Heavy:
Heavy is whatever. I use Semiotician
Artifact:
Champion stunning based on primary for overcharge
Blast Radius
Origin Perk Specialization 1
Unraveling Orbs
Pillar of Ice
Dragon’s Bite
Horde Shuttle
Hail of the Storm
Really curious of what you could do with it. Enjoy the light show
Bit of a hot take, but my favorite raid boss is the Harpy boss fight in GoS. I like the gambit mote mechanic and picking up his vomit cubes. I always loved how you chased that boss down and killed him through the first 3 encounters.
bro likes gambit :(
@nookstir3296 lolol I am a casual gambit enjoyer, but I'm always on the vomit squad in my raid team.
GOS is still my favorite raid, glad to see I'm not the only one who loves that boss fight :)
Stronghold player since Season 16 here. Pretty happy to see this build given that for more conventional play Strand Titan for the most part completely replaced Stasis in the role of this kind of mobile tank, even more so after the rework which made the build much easier to pick up and use! Haven't watched the whole video yet so I dunno if this was shown yet but here's a fun fact on the taking no damage part: a lot of the time it's so little that you can straight up start your natural health/shield regeneration and have it keep going while you're still soaking damage. You can even see your health stop going up momentarily but it still keeps going because of how much resistance you have.
Edit since I just finished: Yeah, Glacial Quake has a skill curve to try and squeeze out as much damage as possible with it especially without Edge of Action (since the mini bubble from the glaive can contain all the crystals in one tiny space and do huge damage that way). For spacing adjustments when lining up for slams do a short hop holding backwards and press heavy attack, that'll slam you straight down in place for a much better and precise placement since it doesn't move you forwards. Last thing to note: if you want to add in a lot more damage go with Lament as your sword, it's excellent for decently sustainable add clear with Tireless Blade (hell you can even kill a bunch of small enemies with one revved swing and not lose ammo) and it's far and away the best for boss damage. Only downside is that it can be a bit ammo hungry sometimes if you're playing offensive with it, but besides that it's really good.
My favorite raid boss is Aksis Archon Prime from wrath of the machine, the mechanics were fun and the damage phase were super fun with that twirly void exotic sword. Plus those raid weapons and shader from hard mode were just so nice.
Rhulk is the absolute best and my favourite boss in all of destiny. The whole encounter really makes us feel the importance of the battle and his presence is so intimidating that it just makes you feel almost powerless against him. Also his boss theme is definitely my favourite especially with the variations during the battle itself
Ain’t that the boss that just kicks you when you get close
@@thebean6496best description of rhulk ive ever heard
The riskrunner trick is something I learned when Grasp of Avarice came out. It helps with the sparrow section
6:48 Ir Halak and Ir Anuk are my favorite. The death singers arent a difficult boss but i enjoy how they occasionally bicker like the siblings they are which reminds me of my and my brother
My favorite raid boss is still Rhulk. I think they nailed building him up and making him genuinely intimidating in the raid, unlike Nezarec. Plus the design with him being so mobile was so different to everything that came before him. It was nice to actually have to track a boss that moves rather than sitting aiming at one spot and dumping ammo
Favorite raid boss used to be Riven, but holy crap did Rhulk switch that up for me. The actual flow of the mechanics on top of how much personality he has, it's so much fun to run that fight every time. Especially because the damage phase was such a drastic change from most of the other raids in Destiny history.
I've been testing a Strand-lock Threadling build using Verity's Brow and, most importantly, the main weapon of the build, surprisingly, it is not an exotic. It is a crafted Optative with Permability and enhanced Golden Tricorn. Farther testing is needed for gameplay loop, but I have found something interesting. It seems that you can double dip in the grenade damage buffs from both Verity's Brow and Golden Tricorn and it saves the buffs when it was created. When testing on Neomuna, base grenade damage is about 11k per Threadling. With both buffs, grenade damage ranges from 25k to 45k per Threadling from the time the Threadling is created. This also means that whenever a Threadling re-perches on the Warlock player, it can potentially be one of the 45k bombs that just homes on to your next target or when released by your rift.
Like i said before, farther testing is needed, but i might submit a build soon for a will it build episode
Favorite raid boss was oryx. Just the time period, my friends, the shock of his size, the cool mechanics. It was just such a good time in destiny and such a fun boss.
Favorite raid boss was D1 Crota. I definitely felt like the main character after trying for hours and finally we switched things up for me to grab the sword and we finally took him down. Super nostalgic for classic destiny
The content creator Selfu used to post solo GMs with this build and lament for the extra damage output
My favorite boss is Oryx from the remastered King's Fall raid. I find the fight quite engaging and dynamic (I do like parkour/jumping puzzles tho), and seeing him fall to Jupiter's orbit when you defeat him is so satisfying
I think this build could benefit more from being Strand than Stasis. The added healing and melee damage from Banner of War plus the damage resistance from woven mail could really take this build even farther away in the invincibility department. This plus a Navigator would give it great defensive and offensive capabilities, making it a good option for solo dungeons and stuff.
I love Stasis so it's cool seeing it used this way, but I feel like you get so much more out of Strand with this build. You can run the 1-2 Punch shotty build with Banner of War and then use Tangles or pick up orbs for Woven Mail. Damage resistance, healing from Banner as well as the increased sword damage, and healing from Restoration x2 for 16 seconds. Also frees up your energy to be whatever you want and you can use Lament for boss damage. It allows you to be the one in front tanking all the along with giving you a chance to actually help put damage in to the boss for even quicker kills. The best part about using Lament with it is the fact that you're already holding the block button to rev it up, which means you're free to do your damage combo whenever you want. Since you probably have Banner of War up as well, it increases the damage of the sword combo too. Oh, and then you can swap to the 1-2 Punch shotty to do that combo for extra damage since you'll have all that damage resistance and healing on you before swapping back to the sword.
Strand with Banner of War just gives you the absolute most insane tanking potential with this build. Instead of using Glacier grenades for your AoE, you can use Tangles instead. Kill one enemy with a sword, get a Tangle, throw it at your feet to get Woven and kill enemies around you, then start the blocking loop.
Do you have a DIM for this?
Yes I think the same, this stasis build didn't use the fragments that give overshield or damage reduction near crystals so I don't understand why it's good.
@@SirJackingtonB89 It's good because it uses Stronghold to make it insanely tanky. All you have to do is block and then do a single swing and you've got sixteen seconds of one of the highest healing buffs in the game. It doesn't have to be Stasis, any subclass can use that. It's just that Strand uses it better, but I also really enjoy a good Stasis build.
I think my favorite raid boss is either Oryx or Nezarec. Oryx is definitely one of the coolest looking raid bosses, having this overwhelming and commanding presence that consumes the room. On the other hand, I love Nezarec for his voice actor, his big ass scythe, and how he styles on you and does combos mid-damage phase.
Favorite raid boss is rhulk. Especially day 1 challenge. We finally have an active boss who doesn’t just sit there taking damage by people sitting in a well. It was constant dodging and moving or get the glaive one shot on ya. The whole vow of the disciple raid had an amazing aesthetic and the rhulk intro is definitely one of the coolest
Don't use Stasis on Stronghold! Use Strand instead!
The Stasis build is an old meta (still viable) but Strand is 100% better!
It has Banner of War which procs on a sword kill, gives 10% increased sword damage, heals you and your teammates for 15-20 hp every pulse, your teammates can prolong it, and it lasts 30 secs.
Strand also has Into the Fray, which allows you to give your teammates Woven Mail by throwing Tangles at them. (Strand also has a fragment that grants Woven Mail on orb pickup, an additional 40% DR, accumulating to 97%-98% DR while blocking with Stronghold).
Not to mention your Shackle Grenade and Super can suspend Unstoppable Champions without needing to break them out of Stasis.
Lastly.. ONLY use an Aggressive Frame sword.. not bc of the additional 5% DR, but when it comes to GM's, only Aggressive Frame swords can one shot low tier ads without surge (bc of their max 80 impact). I recommend Throne-Cleaver with Vorpal/Unrelenting for this season!
Use these tips and you'll preform 100x better with this build! Take care!
Crota, I started in D1 and Crota was my first raid ever. Loved it then, love it now.
My favorite raid boss is Aksis Archon Prime. Back in Destiny I had a dedicated raid teams and the communication was so good that we were able to run in a night.
The was something so fluid about the mechanics and being with a group that ebbed and flowed as well as ours did made the raid so enjoyable.
Close second was Destiny 1 Oryx. I still think about my Sunbracers Sunsinger Build that I utilized for both raid on the servitors and ogres respectively.
I miss raiding. 😢
Sol's Retribution :Helmet: Minor strength increase 2 hands on and a harmonic siphon
Arms: Minor strength increase Melee Kickstart Momentum Transfer Impact Induction
Chest: Major strength increase Charged up Solar reserves
Legs: Major strength increase Solar Weapon surge Solar Sacvenger Invigoration
Mark: Major strength increase Time Dilation Powerful attraction Empowered finish. Gameplay Loop: Produce orbs with the solar melee or solar weapon of your choice, use the slide titan aspect to cause mass ignitions to give radiance to your fire team (or yourself if solo) use the nade to get melee back and rinse and repeat till boss dps On boss dps, use the Relic mod for solar abilities to weaken the boss to give you "crits" for your Pyrogale maul to do even more inital damage and lingering damage
There's been a lot of great bosses, but like...RHULK. Rhulk is amazing in encounter design, lore design, visual design, and narrative/voice lines. Not to mention that he has one of the most dynamic fights of any raid boss. He was the first menacing raid boss to chase you down during the fight. You've got to keep an eye on your darkness stacks to not die, keep moving, not get hit, and do damage effectively. Rhulk is my bar that Bungie needs to clear when it comes to a raid final boss.
Yeah its gotta be Rhulk for the favorite, a big part of that being all his dialogue leading up to the final encounter. It really sets the stakes, not to mention the badass arena you slowly approach as the raid progresses, excellent storytelling through architecture.
Played since D1, experiencing most raids around launch. Oryx is probably my favorite, due to fireteam composition , which was a great bunch of dudes. Honorable mentions, Crota and Rhulk, and Riven, and finally Calus. So many great memories with all of them. And for non- main bosses, Golgoroth has the most badazz intro experience! Love it so much, and I think because I loved Golgoroth so much, I also really enjoyed Caretaker, very fun mechanics for sure. I could go on, but I’ll stop here.
My favorite raid boss is Taniks in the Deep Stone Crypt. I really like the 3 role buffs and how you end up swapping them around as people get locked out of them.
Great build video! I'm going to try it with the merciless exotic fusion rifle as a boss damage option to conserve sword ammo. Maybe smite of merain (sp?) pulse rifle with firefly as my kinetic for range, add clear, and solar damage all in one primary!
I voted rhulk but that encounter definitely slaps. That intensify increasing factor through the stages
My favorite raid boss has to be Gahlron from Crown of Sorrows. The raid as a whole was very fun for me, as I loved the aesthetic! Thinking back on that time and meta brings back so many good memories!
Started playing Destiny in season 13 so only done the newer raids. Favorite raid boss has to be Caretaker.
It's wild how many Titans don't rock Strongholds. I first got into them during season of plunder with stasis, but with the introduction of banner of war + woven mail it's just nuts now. Been my go-to coil build since day 1 of the activity being out (and any other activity I can get away with it), and default to it whenever the team is struggling.
If you watch at 25:16, you have the sword out gaining perfect guard stacks, but Arc Conductor pops up too. So he is right. Arc Conductor does not need Riskrunner to be in hand.
Oryx is definitely my favorite raid boss. The build up to getting on board the dreadnaught and hunting him down, for that epic final encounter was just an amazing experience.
So i got something i feel is nasty.
UNRAVELING WORMGOD
Strand warlock. You can tweak it how you like of course but essentially it is meant to make as many threadlings as possible and unravel as much as you can.
I use empowering rift, threadling grenades, weavers call, and mindspun.
Then fragments we got propogation, evolution, rebirth, and generation.
For exotics is wishkeeper with hatchling catty and swarmers.
I pair the wishkeeper with a shotty of choice and semoticon with enhanced stats for all and enhanced hatchling.
My artifact i switch around so i could have blast radius, unraveling orbs, and horde shuttle.
Head: double stand siphons
Arms: firepower and heavy handed
Chest: charged up and font of endurance. (I have lowish resil on my warlock)
Legs: recuperation and double strand surge
Bond: powerful attraction, time dialation, and bomber
I am a hunter main for life but this is just too fun not to play with. Enjoy everyone!
First time Atheon back in D1, nothing can beat that feeling and those memories
I loved Oryx; I imagine it has a good bit to do with that was the first raid (d1) where I was a leader and knew what to do. Also the scale of that boss and that room was amazing.
How would this work as an arc Titan?
Pulse nade and spark of resistance should do decent damage and damage mitigation
stronghold's slowly becoming a few fave of mine ever since i learned the strat of holding aggro in Crota's End. my favorite raid boss is definitely Riven, especially with the new lore we got from her this season. she's so cool....
I liked crota. He was my first raid and I had no idea what I was doing! Took me and few tries to finally get it down. A little later I completed the raid and felt amazing. I miss my old friends that used to play.
Rhulk is my favorite raid boss. I started playing right before which queen. VOW was the first raid I ever participated in. Now anytime I run VOW with the homies I am the one calling out when to split and dunking. I’ve come a long way since that first time. From just absolutely confused and trying not to mess up to teaching people not only Rhulk but the entire raid! And when we pull of that crispy one phase!!! Nothing better. So Rhulk is my favorite.
My favorite raid boss has always been oryx, the taken king. That whole raid in fact is my favorite raid. I was so dam happy when they brought it back into d2 and being able to fight oryx again. Remember back in d1 it was always the first thing I did on rest and through the week would play it just for fun. His entrance, mechanics, weapons, his send off and just floating in the background haha. Always so fun going against him. 😊
I have almost this exact tank build saved. It makes such a difference in GM's. Unlocks crazy strategies to have one player being fully invincible.
When it comes to behemoth super, I use the titan exotic glaive. Make the bubble right next to the boss's feet so you're not blocking allies' shots and pop super in the bubble. Stand in the middle and just slam. All the crystals will be mad in the bubble, usually on the bubble walls so they are all pointed towards you, and because you shatter any crystals you touch they will auto shatter for easy damage. Since risk runner isn't necessary/niche, this could be a different avenue to take. Plus on demand overshield if needed, just let the shield build up over time or charge with a few pot shots, activate the bubble shot, then stow until needed.
Ah, the snowglobe
Lament and stronghold on a strand titan with woven mail and rally banner. Mod for whatever damage reduction you want and use the suspend grenade alongside the suspended enemy kills grant orbs fragment to keep woven mail up
Just a little tid bit of fun on top of this, if you use throne cleaver there is a perk called energy transfer, where taking damage while blocking gives you class ability energy. This with strongholds gives you a ton of towering barricades and bypasses the cool down nerf.
Oooo, my favourite raid boss.. has to be rhulk, his dps phase is just so awesome, and the way he floats and the stting, not too mention the decor and style of the arena. Man, i love rhulk.
I think you’ll find more merit with banner of war, gives you healing as well and increases sword damage. Also could use the tangles for woven mail but that’s up to preference. Overkill is using lament
Hehe using lament was the first thing i thought of when i saw the build
Rhulk is my favorite. The way he just slowly walks after you while trying to set up damage means you have to always be aware where he is.. True game changer of a boss fight. Less standing in place in a well
My favorite raid boss in destiny history is Atheon from destiny 1 vault of glass. I still remember the day my friends and I first cleared it and it was a great moment. Too much nostalgia for me to pick any other boss.
Gotta be the sparrow section from scourge. Me and my friends died laughing (and in game) as we played mario kart with a giant fire death ball behind us, good times. Actual boss? probably rhulk just because hes such a cool villain and i love how he just bms you the whole time.
Best Raid boss for sure is Rhulk, the lead up and dialogue the whole time just made it amazing. Obviously the kicks too haha
My favorite has to be riven, but doing it legit. It’s such a fast paced encounter and a blast to do correct. Also, the music, area design and mechanics are all great.
interesting build and as a non Titan main, it's definitely a "different" approach as an old school tank.
Rhulk is by far the most interesting boss in Destiny, not only the encounter itself and how different it is but also him as a character, the fact that he could kill 6 guardians in 10 second and it was only his hubris that defeated him made him so intimidating as an enemy. Excellent back story and lore means Rhulk wins this hands down.
Ran this build through my first successful lightblade nigtfall as solar not stasis. Stasis is interesting and ill have to give it a try.
My favorite Raid boss is actually Rhulk, I love his aggressiveness, his arena and the overall vibe and music of the encounter
Hey mactics i enjoy your videos and you are my go to build guy. If i want to try out a new exotic i see if you have a video on the build and if you dont ill look elsewhere. I play a lot of destiny, and i do a lot of endgame content and also watch a lot of videos so i know quite a bit about the game and always keep up to date. I want to start my own youtube channel around destiny. I figured i play it all the time so if i can start a channel, make a little side cash off it here and there and help myself out and others all while doing something im already going to do, why not? The problem is i dont have any clue what im doing. I dont know how to edit or make videos or anything. I was wondering if you could give me some advice in that department. How do you make your thumbnails? Stuff like that. I figure i can figure out most of it as i go but what little advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a good day.
The stronghold and sword combo works in any subclass you can use this concept for any titan build. BOW strand gives even more survivability in high end GM or raids
Seige Engine (aka Zamboni) is probably my favorite raid boss, as a still active D1 player it just has always held a special place in my heart.
Delightful as always Mactics. Thanks. Stronghold has always been awesome for surviving and nice to see some love shown here. Not fun or exciting per say, but, has utility.
Aksis Phase II is will always be my favvourite raid encounter, with or without doing the challenge - it requires everyone to be on their feet and nail their roles/positions.
Stronghold is just amazing on titans no matter the subclass. Arc benefits massively from restoration. Solar benefits from restoration already, and can even extend the buff. Void loves the added defense when over shield is up, and restoration when it isn’t. Strand just likes to do more of the stuff it already does. Watch the video for stasis.
I'm loving this build. One suggestion for the sword though. If you use chivalric fire you can actually trigger X2 resto with the projectile allowing for acquisition at a distance
Aksis was always my favorite. I always loved the SIVA style and seeing spider legs was awesome.
I started using this and it's really fun and I learned of you have a teammate light your block up before you rush into adds to 100 stacks that can be a good start to the cycle my friend used sweet business got me to 100 stacks and I just bum rushed adds
9:51 Rip that Warden 😂
I am certainly a Rhulk fanboy. The fight seems to be the culmination and reinforcement of all elements and mechanics of the raid to that point, and I really think that specific fight is peak raiding. In a successful fight, everybody has some semi-solid to completely cemented understanding of the entire raid on a fundamental level. The damage phase taking place in a wholly new area of the arena reinforces his trash-talking character and cockiness. He hardly ever takes his arms out from a folded position, even during the fight! Rhulk feels like a final exam for the pre-tests you've just trudged through. I haven't run the raid in months, and I still know all the symbols and encounter strats by heart.
Dude I made a build yesterday took me all day but man I think I put something special together.. I’m using Precious Scars will the Verglas Curve and mix it with the seasonal mods solar and stasis. Holy fuck man. I heal as I kill.. it’s amazing.. having a lot of fun making builds
Hey homie I really love all the videos and I've used plenty of what you've showcased in game to have an absolute blast! One thing I would recommend though is maybe at the end of the videos you could maybe include a finalized build card or include it in the description to make it a little bit easier to put everything in place so we don't have to jump around the vid looking for the changes you made?
My favorite raid boss is probably caretaker, the boss design is very cool, the method of getting to damage is cool and the damage phase itself rewards you for coordination and teamwork. Not to mention he was one of the best day 1 raid experiences ever, having to juice every possible source of damage to complete.
This is going to be PERFECT for the Witcher sword quest!
The one that’s already done? Lol
9FY KDD PRT
My favorite raid boss has to be ATHEON.
I love the nostalgic feeling of being in the vault of glass. It brings me back to my discovery of Destiny.
My favorite raid boss is Nezerak I know most people don’t like that’s raid or boss but I really enjoyed his design, lore and the mechanic
Plus the raid looks amazing to me and the exotic(I still don’t have it) looks great too
Ghalran in the 2nd phase is my favorite boss fight. Having to kill the ogres, punch the decoys, and destroy the crystals makes it very chaotic but so satisfying with a good team
I'm going to have to say that my favorite raid boss is Rhulk. One of few bosses who is actively engaging you in close proximity and really makes you feel the tension.
I didn’t see anyone mention it but the restoration x2 is based on number of hits with a sword after guarding, which why you were only getting like 6 seconds from a single swing/hit
Rhulk he's just so outstanding in design and his encounter is pretty fun too for me
I know I’m going to be flamed but my fav raid boss is Nezarec. I know he’s memed on half to death but I like many things about him. I like that we have armor and weapons tied to him. He was built up throughout the story and I enjoy the boss mechanics. He’s even like rhulk where he runs around the arena and such.
My favorite raid boss has always been rhulk, its one of the very few destiny bosses that actually tracks and melees you and can even kill you in a well on master unlike most raid boss damage phases in which youre just standing in a well stationary and doing all your damage with the boss damage completely negated.I really wish they would make bosses that need you to keep moving and avoiding their attacks during damage phase and make it so that sitting stationary in a well makes you die more often than if you were on the move.
My favorite boss is D1 crota, during that time I had an active clan and many friends playing the game. Only a few of us still play and we are in a new clan now.
I'm glad you actually did the immune boss shield thing
This feels like the strand version with more steps. Just pick up an orb for woven mail. Woven mail + guarding = immune damage in GM's. Just select the element with the burn to make sure you're immune to that one as well. Plus you can take any exotic weapon of your choice.
You mentioned it in passing, but how about this build with Crown Splitter, Calus Mini Tool and Witherhoard.
Stay blocking/nade tossing as usual but have splitter to destroy random yellow bars and Witherhoard to pop between shielding for boss dps or a field of death on the ground.
Calus for add clear when you have resto x2 since you can get a lot of tasty solar mods this season even running any other build. Still be able to explode everything with improved incandescent and the mod based explosions.
Very, very interesting looking build btw. I've tanked for 19 years in MMOs (god that makes me feel old lol) and the idea of this build as an actual D2 "tank" intrigues me a ton.
edit: better yet. Throne-Cleaver with Energy Transfer and Valiant Charge. Blocking grants class ability energy and a swipe after blocking has a mini eager edge effect (good for getting in that one hit to proc the resto). Some interesting possibilities here :)
Tbh my favorite raid boss would probably be rhulk. Yeah I know very original. But Rhulk is one of the most coolest bosses in my opinion and the mechanic is super cool to fight him. I love also the fact that you kill “The First Disciple Of The Witness.”😊
Thumbs up just for pushing that Hydra off the map, lol. I've never seen that before.
I would switch to solar subclass for restoration synergy and use Tommy matchbook once you get the 100x perfect guard; can also use the titan sword since it’s solar. Can also use harmonic siphon with it.
Aksis was honestly the most fun raid boss to me and he had a badass design
My fav raid boss is definitely Rhulk. His lore and actual in-game mechanics are crazy
Athenon for the very first time in D1 ,never experienced anything like that before. Love the build
Aksis has to be my favorite raid boss ever. From swording his legs, to jump on his back to stun him that boss is just overall a good raid boss. You had to move , you had to be on your toes to jump in, an absolute beast of a final boss .
Mactics !! What up👏🏾👏🏾 love the build LMAOO not a fan of titans but this is nice. Definitely one of my tops was Ghalran, from crown !
btw the 16 seconds is not the highest its 25 seconds on solar titan with stronghold (use the fragment which buffs restoration @Mactics
This is the build i use regularly in GMs. I generally run solar, but theres a way to do triple the resist you have now. Personally, i feel rhulk will always be the best boss.
Rhulk is my fav, really felt like they thought outside the box with that boss
Ok, I have to try the build!!
The only comment I would add is that your grenade should be on cooldown more, especially for the higher end content where you are taking very little damage while blocking. You get it back so fast...and it adds so much damage when shattering them. Rewatch the vid and see how fast you get it back...
Favorite raid boss is Oryx. I loved everything about that raid in D1
On solar subclass, you can have up to 24 seconds of Restoration x2 with ember of empyrean and solace getting a kill after guarding. You won’t have all those extra resistances but the extra healing is solid.
Oryx will always have a special place in my heart lol.
My favourite boss is calus from the leviathan raid. As it was my first raid completed so more nostalgia than anything
