It's crazy that I've played like 20 games since yesterday and haven't seen shadow king even once after the buff (I'm infinite). People really don't understand how that cards works I think
I am a shadow king user. I use him in my surfer decks. Yesterday I was hit with the shadow king nerf cuz you know silver surfer synergy. I will still keep him in my surfer decks as his irrelevancy makes him an absolute unit. I am using HE decks now tho bcz a HE a day keeps those lokis away
Honestly the prevalence of alioth really hurts sera. Can still win but not having priority into alioth is brutal. Lockdown matchups in particular are pretty bad.
Second that. Sera has nothing to do or counter the meta, especially in Conquest. The Alioth/Galac/ProfX absolutely annilhates it, and the Alioth's rising counter, Evo/Armor/Cosmos/Wave will kill the dream on turn 5. I love the archetype but you will end up behind those in terms of priority early, so to lose.
Hey Cozy, I think at 18:47 you could have thought about Shang-Chi'ing the Collector since he was so close to 9 and it would not be unlikely that your opponent might raise his power. I like those Conquest games, keep it up!
I've been getting so many people with snow guard Hawk when they play Magic. It's funny and I'm happy you're the first RUclipsr I know who mentioned snow guard Hawk to counter Magic

Would love to see more Ladder play - the topic I’m interested in is hitting Infinite. Reached Infinite in July and August this year, but I often get stuck forever in the mid-90s and would love some tips for how to navigate that final push.

Been running Shadow King with a Darkhawk/Ronan deck and it has made Loki so much easier to deal with. It's especially funny when they use Loki and steal your Shadow King, only to then try to use it on one of your ongoing cards only for it not to work because it doesn't work on Ongoings 😅 It's pretty fun watching Shadow King nerf the opponents board while Darkhawk/Ronan or Mystique stay at the same power
Only card I'm missing is spider pig but I replaced it with Scarlet Witch and deck runs like a fine machine. I need more practice with piloting but damn I'm in love.

Just got to infinite yesterday with this deck even with nerfed up KP. I don't have SG so I replaced her with Scarlet Witch for location control. My only advice when piloting this deck is know when to hold priority and read lanes specially for last turn(where opponent will lilely Alioth, Knull, etc.) Another is SK can't affect ongoing cards and buffs from ongoing cards. Also this deck dies from turn 5 wave if you're not careful

But it seems like into the 90s is where people start to spend and so everyone has loki, alioth, etc etc, and anyone not playing loki has armour and draws them for turn 2, I hit 97 but quickly dropped to 93 and have hit a wall

Since his release he is a stable in my decks. So satisfying to wipe out cards so beautifully. I only dream of an 'opposite' card of Ghost. One that gives the player always priority.
I have been using a variation on this since the ota patch - had a weird interaction with Morbius & Shadow King though, - didnt reset his power? was confusing!
Cozys argument is lacking substance, this deck really wants specific cards turn 1-3 (bishop, Angela, kitty), that's the main reason you play Chavez. Let alone sera t5
@sasquatchthesquatch3357 Honestly. When you go for that specific set of cards, Chavez is a good choice. If you're using a different version of this Sera deck however, it's not really needed.
No matter how many times I’ve played this version of Ciara I have never been able to pull off this combo. I have never gotten Sierra before turn five. I don’t understand how people make this work.
America Chavez is good because your deck is an 11-card one... at turn 1, you have 4/11 compared to 4/12 cards to draw the specific card. So basically, there is a 36% vs. a 30% chance to get Sera at turn 1. If so, adding turns and drawing more cards will improve the odds. So, at the 5th turn, you have a 73% chance to have it by turn 5; at turn 6, the card is useless anyway, and America, even if drawn, certainly will not be played. If the deck depends on a combination of cards, I suggest adding Chavez for the long run. This allows them to not forfeit the match because of missing Sera. We are a Control deck... we control odds too.
I hate the economy of marvel snap right now, after the token shop got released it made my collection go way faster and I had most cards. Now with the spotlights, ye sure great idea and works fine ig. But getting them as f2p is really hard and I need 4 to get either the new card 100% or a card that I want 100%. Takes so much time and I keep noticing that I mis some cards for almost every deck now a days. Getting infinite has been tough this season.

I was stuck forever between 95 - 100 😅 I used a destroy deck with Alioth and Shang, often lost to Galactus and pretty much any deck with Armour

Sera control was the first deck tjat got me infinite. Happy to see shadow king and like cage added into this build! Great stuff cozy!!!

I've found Shadow King doesn't work on ongoing cards like Devil Dino.
I appreciate the irony of how, pre-nerf, Ham was a hard counter to any Sera deck, and now he’s part of one.
It’s days like this when Cozy posts a Sera deck that you can just run any deck with Wave in it and farm some cubes.

Chavez effect needs to be changed to "Draw this card on the last turn of the game."
Cause drawing her on turn 6, when there's a turn 7, is brutal.
So apparently SK doesn't work on buffed Ultron Drones - that's interesting.

Shadow King doesn’t work on cards buffed by their own ongoings.
I have seen so much Alioth Galactus Wave I just think the meta is not great for this deck to be effective right now.

Mobius has a perfect home in Sera. It protects against Wave and is also a direct counter to Loki. Win-win against both the bad matchups!

I didn’t realize if you used shadow king on a pig their points go to zero!?
Pug card is a zero at base, but turning their card to a pig is just doing that, it's a pig, but gets to keep it's power, just not it's abilities

This deck doesn’t shut down ongoing. But it is a GREAT counter for most things.
Well yeah because shadow can't effect ongoing because the extra power say from knull happens after the shadow king effect happens
