Normally you tile first before putting the door up in the shower. Those glass doors can break so easily, very brave putting it in before the tile is installed.
I’m guessing you’ll take the shower door off whilst you tile the shower and then hang it back on? At least this way, it’s hung and out of danger of being broken. When the video skipped to you tearing down the ceiling, I thought at first this was a “Before” clip and couldn’t believe how much work you’ve all done! Then I realized it’s the sister room to the one you’ve just painted 🤪🤪Oh well, the way you all work together, you’ll get it done, 💕👏💕👏💕 love to you all.
💕Thank you💕Ash you are a natural in front of the camera you explain everything so well💕Vivian’s painting skills are fantastic so I’m sure she will produce something amazing💕Just what Terry will love💕
Terry and Ash, nice work on the shower, neat glass door! I'm so glad that you brought Vivian from Chateau-❤ to get ideas for doing her magnificent tile painting! Although the Chateau did not originally have a shower, she will work using historical accuracy regarding paint colours and designs and she will not disappoint! She always has positive energy and smiling eyes.😊 Nice work on the ceiling, Tracy and Ash! Looking good!👍🤗
What a surprise to see Vivian! One more example of why I wish I was born 30 years later. I would be over there, too, getting covered in muck and networking with all you chateau owners. Love seeing y'all working together ❤
When I see Tracy doing these kinds of 'just jobs', makes me so happy she has that beautiful tub to soak in. All that stuff fall on her. Tracy You Are Amazing.
Wow, you’ve got all the burners going on that reno stove! Great to see the start of the 401 Ste. being demo’d now and the finishing work commencing on the 400 Ste. Can’t wait to see those Vivienne tiles go in!
It might be just me but maybe others as well, seeing the ceiling of the room in the next suite being taken down, the tasks ahead don't seem to be as less daunting as in the suite you are doing. The attention to detail, the coming together of the visions you have I can already visualise the finished suite. How lovely to see Vivien! Her artwork and involvement in your project will be wonderful. Can't wait to see the tiles. As ever, well done team 🙂
Seems we are all working on new bathrooms at the same time, your shower, Chateau de Colombe's B and B suite and our Bridal suite one. It's exciting you have Vivian designing tiles for you, she is very creative, I would like to meet her some day, maybe at your place LOL xx
Suggest wearing heavier duty respirators and eye protection while removing plaster and spraying chemicals. You want to work hard but stay healthy. Enjoy watching you all very much.
Oh wow, how great to have Vivian on 😂your team, she is super creative and such an amazing artist. Chateau Love is exquisitely decorated by Vivian and carried out with Simons expertise. So excited to see the results, crack on Team Lalacell.
I find that with 'Molly' systems it's best to squeeze a bit then screw in then re squeeze then screw, makes it less hard on the hands ! Better than trying to squeeze in out in one go ! Only learnt this after much squeezing !! xo Thank god, no metro tiles!
You mentioned (Egg &Dart) would look wonderful and tie into your theme, along the wall like you have in the Salon. I see a possible issue. Normally the doors go up after the tile installation.
I’m a bit behind with vlogs , everything is coming on fantastically. Love love seeing Vivian from chateau Love . She will do an exceptional job on tiles I’m sure . Love a chateau crossover xx
Dunno how much cursing went on while hanging that shower door... but it's good your both all smiles when it's done. I have to say the rafters in this side look much better than the other side did... that's good to see... What hard workers you all are... you keep up at this pace you guys will have this place looking amazing in no time... I honestly can't wait to see it! Can't wait to see the tiles I'll have to check out this Vivian and her channel... always something new to watch.
Hello lovely family. I hope you are all well x I just wanted to apologise for my absence during the live videos x Life has been getting in the way x I am watching all the videos and giving a thumbs up 👍 xxx I am as ever in awe of you progress, your determination and your genuine souls xxTake care sending much love to you all xxxx
Massive job on guys Well done with everything Even down to recycling the old ceiling Fire starter and ballast for your car park 🤗🤗🤗 Every little helps 👍👍👍
I just wanted to comment on the original construction 18:33 of the floor joists over the window. OMG, the header over the window looks to be nothing more than a pair of timbers, about the same dimensions of the floor joists, laid on the side with the floor joists sitting on top. It's amazing to me how that would support the weight of the floor above the window(s) and not collapse under its own weight. It also looks like the one header is re-used from a previous life, has a series of mortises cut into the side, and further hampering the integrity of the window header. Also, looks like stone rubble backfilled between the floor joists to stabilize them, but also adding to the weight of the window header. And people wonder "why" there are building codes in force today. BTW, amazing work, keep it up. 👻👻👻
It is always a balancing act to organize the sequencing of large reno jobs much less gargantuan reno jobs. Your progress is steady, the work done correctly, and the end results are beautiful.
It’s wonderful to see most of the. Chateau owners collaborate with each other for different projects. You are all artisins😅 in special ways. What talents! Crack on!
I've been through two bathroom makeovers, total gut jobs! I would suggest removing the shower's glass doors until everything else is done. With plumbing, electrical, tiling & paint still to be done, it's an accident waiting to happen, especially with a lot of ladders being used.
@@Tracyhort522 not really very much point replying to comments if you're not gonna answer questions........!?!? ....you must have more useful things you could usefully be doing in that big old chateau of yours......!!
Good work chasing the ever present woodworm. It helps preserve everything for future generations which is farsighted of you. So many just go for the immediate fix instead.
OK, I am sooooo Jelly!!!!! I would love to have a bathroom or kitchen with tiles made by Viviane!!!! OMG, you guys are lucky! Excited to see the finished product. Especially with Terry & Viviane working on a project together!
It's so nice to see a family working in harmony together. I can't wait to see what Vivian and Terry bring together....two perfectionists. Mom and Ash working in the dust and grime, you are troopers! What a great team!!
I enjoyed your channel immensely! The work ethic and positive energy here is contagious! Its absolutely amazing to see things coming together in the 400 suite!! ❤ I also admit I love demolition and looking forward to what Terry comes up with for the next design!!❤
You guys are truly amazing! Can't wait to see this suite done! The place looks beautiful! I wish I could be one of your first guests next year. I love Titanic stuff too! So excited for you guys too! "So without further a do...'lets get cracking!"
So excited that Vivienne is making the tiles for your bathroom 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Love her channel and her creativity. You are in good hands with her. Great job all around. Thanks for sharing it with us 😍😘
The way you both work together considering you are together 24/7 speaks volumes for your relationship. Great job on the shower . So looking forward to seeing the finished bathroom. X
The thing is now compared with 3 years ago , you know what needs to be done and how so with that being said these suites are going alot faster than when you first started. By the time you get to the ground floor, you'll be experts in demolition, restoration, painting, plastering, etc 😅
This will be a wonderful project between Terry and Vivian. I'm like all the rest when other chateau owners step in and help one another. God bless you all. And Ash. It is good to see you in front of the camera. We know that you do a lot like all the rest. You all are just magnificent. I enjoy each and every one of you right on down to Patrick. He does his own little job too and the cat. I don't see the cat that much, but I know the cat was there. Anyhow, I see that Ash and Tracy are busy at demolishing again. Tracy is an exception to the rule. She just pushes forward and with a smile on her face. God bless you all and we love you and will continue to follow the journey and can hardly wait to see exactly how the bathroom tiles come out❤
I love Vivienne and Simon.❤ She is so generous to assist in your project. I think I was one of the scores who suggested contacting Château Love, if not, I was certainly thinking it.
I'm not in the renovation or construction field, but so I have a question about the tiling and the shower doors. Wouldn't you put the shower doors on after the tiling is done? You guys are so meticulous that I'm certain you have figured it out, but I was wondering about the waterproofing and thought perhaps the tile would go up first before the aluminum door frame and glass doors.
You have no reason to apologize at all it is working site and the rest of us in all the world enjoy watching you do so in your lovely chateau most of us understand that first in order to create a business you have to take away then add. The adding back to is the brilliant part of renovations etc love you and family lots ❤😊many blessings to you

I actually love watching the ceilings come down, electrical, insulation etc. watching each room take shape.
What can’t Vivienne do?😊
I think the hardest working person on the site is Tracy! Certainly worth her weight in gold
She absolutely is! 😊😊
You normally fit the shower screen after you've tiled. You will struggle to seal it Otherwise, chaps 👍
I was thinking the same thing; not to mention the possibility of breaking the glass during the tiling.
Yep, thought the same thing.

You are so organized about the whole project. I love it.
Do need a fan in the shower to help with keeping it from getting too moist and mold becoming an issue especially with the low ceiling??
An earlier episode showed the vent being installed.
Sorry I must have missed that although I rarely miss an episode. Should have known that they think of everything.
