    It's there to show people that the ark was not just a cute little cartoon ark with animals hanging off the sides like it gets portrayed. It wa huge, more like a huge barge or container ship. Jesus Christ is the ark now, better hop in while there is time. It's beautiful in here.

    I am a missionary in Thailand. There are poor Christians languishing
    away in immigration prison in deplorable conditions in third world countries. You could have sprung them from prison. Some are stuck in prison for years, their only crime being that they overstayed their visa. What a collosal waste of the Lord's money. The need for the Gospel in 3rd world countries is desperate. The Labourers are so few here. Church funds should be prioritized for the great commission, and helping the poor.

    The replica is 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high.
    60ft, 10ft, and 6ft got added extra.

      Fyi, a cubit is a measurement from your elbow to your hand. Not everyone has the same distance. Maybe the man who designed this one has big arms.
      Do you really want to say you know for a fact that Noah's arm was a certain length?
      Those measurements are relative. Cubits is used so you don't mess up the balance of the entire structue measurement.

    • @allisonscanlan4144
      @allisonscanlan4144 4 года назад +1

      Yeah (just like someone else comments) a cubit is a subjective measurement from the elbow to your fingers. Similar to how the Egyptians coined the term foot which now in most measurements has been set to 12 inches. Most people use about 18 inches for a cubit which is what you demonstrated in your 450x75x45x but for the reference of this ark a cubit was measured at 20.4 inches. :)))

      Most of theologians believe the animals were hibernating, though some food were stored in the vast space.

When the scoffers stand before God at the Great White Throne Judgement in their future after at least 1000 years of torment and then after the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth, all KNEES will bow. But then it shall be too late. The Lake of Fire awaits them for eternity. Forever, and ever and ever and ever....infinity.

      @ Paul W: That's the old KJV version of the Bible. Deuteronomy 33:17: ''His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns (plural) are like the horns (plural) of unicorns'' So this could refer to a wild horned bovin or a now-extinct aurochs or a bison, maybe a Rhino. It's stupid to think the ancient Hebrews meant the fairytale unicorn, because there's no reason to write down a mythical non-existing creature.

Well anyone who actually reads the Bible and is a Christian can answer this repeating, silly question. Because it helps make what we know happened so real and wonderful and an exciting way to teach children about the story (account) within the Bible. The presentation from someone who obviously was there for the wrong reasons really left a bad taste in my mouth. But it was very cool to see it nonetheless.

      Average human consumes about 400KG of food per year.
      Eight of them need only store 3.2 ton to survive easily. If the food are seeds based like grains and nuts, you need even less. I don't see the problem here. Noah's time, eating meats were not as common as today.

    At 1:55 . . ."KIND OF introducing you to the atmosphere of the ark itself." . . . Yep, "KIND OF" is absolutely accurate. The original Ark did not have air conditioning, electric lighting, sanitized sound effects or a gift shop. Instead, (if a real ark existed), it would have had the nauseating smells of animal feces, very little light, the screaming anguish of the people outside of the ark, and no gifts in the form soft stuffed animals made in China.

    I just was checking a website and this skeptic stated the account (she called it "legend" or "myth") of the global Flood of Noah (Genesis 6 to 9) was a corrupted and distorted version of the borrowed Babylonian Flood story ( Epic) of Gilgamesh. I pointed out that if she had actually compared the details of the Gilgamesh Epic with the Genesis account of Noah's Flood, she would have discovered it is the other way around; namely, the Epic of Gilgamesh is a distorted and corrupted reflection of divine revelation--the true record of the Genesis Flood. Read my comment as to why.
    You guys talk about evidence, but you would not know real EVIDENCE if you saw it. The dimensions of the vessel in the Gilgamesh Epic (see lines 29 and 30, compare lines 57 and 58) were 10 rods high x 10 rods wide x 10 rods long or 165 ft x 165 ft x 165 ft (1 rod=16 1/2 feet); in other words the shape of a cube or square box, which would not have been very stable in a global flood of very turbulent and high waves. Compare this to the dimensions of Noah's Ark, which were 300 cubits x 50 cubits x 30 cubits or 450 feet long by 75 feet wide by 45 feet high, and which shipbuilders calculate would give a ratio of 6:1; in other words, a ship, with a rectangular or barge shape and a very low center of gravity, that was so stable that when they did experiments using a scaled-down prototype of the Ark in a water tank (laboratory) producing assimilated waves, they discovered it could upright itself from a 90 degree tilt--a ship that could stay float in over 100 ft waves, much larger than average oceanic waves today. Of course, the weight of the animals, which would have put it lower in the water, would have made it even more stable. The U.S. battleship Oregon was built around the turn of the century using the same ratio (6:1) in construction as that of Noah's Ark.
    Let's look at other details of the Gilgamesh Epic. The ship in the Gilgamesh Epic has 6 decks (line 60) whereas the Ark in Genesis had 3 decks. Also, the flood in the Gilgamesh Epic lasted one week only (lines 127-130)---hardly sufficient to bring about a global cataclysmic flood as evidenced by the worldwide distribution of billions of fossils of all life-forms. The Genesis Flood on the other hand, lasted 150 days (including the 40-days and 40-nights of rain) before the flood waters abated or receded. Finally, the Genesis account tells us that the dove brought a freshly plucked olive tree to Noah--tangible evidence that the flood waters had receded from the earth--whereas the Gilgamesh Epic tells us that the raven, which saw the waters receding and found food, did not return to the ship (line 156). How then did Utanapishti know for sure that the flood waters had actually receded? He could only have assumed because the raven did not return that it saw the flood waters receding and found food, but could not have known for certain, as did Noah, without some tangible evidence.
    Some skeptics and liberal theologians would have us believe that the Jews who wrote the Bible actually borrowed myths of Babylonian origin concerning the Genesis Flood from the Gilgamesh Epic (and others) to include with their own writings. However, the big problem with this assumption, as we (and biblical historians) have observed in our comparison of the Gilgamesh Epic with the Genesis Flood, is that the latter (*Genesis Flood) is far more reasonable and believable than the former. The details of the Gilgamesh Epic, which merely reflects the true record of the Bible (divine revelation), are clearly the ones that have become corrupted and distorted due to limitations of human fallibility.
    Obviously stories handed down from generation to generation that are not carefully preserved--particularly if they are handed down by word of mouth--do not improve with age. The truth is lost and the stories degenerate markedly. On the other hand, the biblical records have been handed down in written form (though there was a slight period of oral transmission in its early history), carefully preserved by the superintendency of God and have not been corrupted. Assuming our ancient past was very primitive and over a long period of time, we must ask ourselves how certain details of the story of the Great Flood or Deluge (read Genesis 6 to 9) could have been handed down from one primitive stone-age culture to another purely by oral tradition, for hundreds of thousands of years (Gilgamesh cuneiform tablets date as far back as 4,000 years), to be fully incorporated in the Gilgamesh Epic of the Babylonians. That such a thing could have happened over a hundred thousand years is quite inconceivable. No, the only conclusion clearly indicated by careful comparison of the details of the Gilgamesh Epic (which clearly have become corrupted and distorted with time) with the details of the Genesis Flood (which undoubtedly are far more reasonable and believable) is that the Epic of Gilgamesh is a distorted and corrupted reflection of divine revelation--the true record of the Genesis Flood (given by God to Moses--the author of the first five books of the Bible, including Genesis, from the time of creation to the world-wide flood of Noah. Also, as Dr. John Whitcomb has rightly pointed out, "The Gilgamesh Epic, rightly considered, administers a fatal blow to the concept of a vast antiquity for Noah" (DR. John C. Whitcomb in the Early Earth).
    Note: The divine inspiration of the Bible would demand that the Genesis account is the correct version. Indeed, the Hebrews were known for handing down their records and tradition. The Book of Genesis is viewed for the most part as an historical work, even by many liberal scholars, while the Epic of Gilgamesh is viewed as mythological. The One-source Theory must, therefore, lead back to the historical event of the Flood and Noah's Ark. To those who believe in the inspiration and infallibility of the Bible, it should not be a surprise that God would preserve the true account of the Flood in the traditions of His people. The Genesis account was kept pure and accurate throughout the centuries by the providence of God until it was finally compiled, edited, and written down by Moses. The Epic of Gilgamesh, then, contains the corrupted account as preserved and embellished by peoples who did not follow the God of the Hebrews.

    hmm certainly looks very cool and interesting. Shame I see so much modern methods of construction in it like steel plates, bolts and laminated frames etc looks more like a modern building in the shape of a ship than something that could actually float. I don't know, back in the day this looks to be on a scale even greater than all the pyramids combined, how could this have been built back then without huge international effort and spectacular amounts of cash? you know this thing is more than half the length of the Titanic and just as wide! Would the Ark really have been this colossal? if it was a third this size then ok that might have been doable, I just think the scale is waaaaay off for the time. Like watching Pirates of the Caribbean and some pirate turns up with the Bismarck, what?! where did you get that made?? It would however be great to visit though however the ticket price is a bit steep.

    NOAH AND THE FLOOD
    For me, sending an angel to do one’s dirty work doesn’t compute - especially when the individual in question is supposedly God Himself.
    Imagine how much more powerful God's message would be if he simply spoke to everyone on Earth directly and all at once, “I’m disappointed in you sinful ingrates and I’m about to wipe out all but a handful of you with a 40-day flood.”
    Then again, who is left to heed that message if you just killed everyone? The answer is, a handful of people who aren’t sinful in the first place or they wouldn’t be on the boat, outnumbered by thousands of animals who don’t speak human languages and are wondering what’s with all the rain...
    Even before this, why would a god able to create Earth in one day need 40 days to wipe it out? And even before that, why would a god who created a flawed model not correct the flaws and replace man with a model that has both a free will AND is sin-proof?
    The suggestion is that a free-willed, sin-proofed human cannot be created -- or at least not by the current god, meaning the current god is either limited in his own abilities - which makes no sense -- or delights in intentionally creating a sinful man on whom he is then able to inflict retribution, which makes even less sense.
    None of this is blasphemous, much as it will be seem to be to some readers. It DEFENDS the God I believe in, who is a creator, not a destroyer.

      @@jackclark9812 Just because you don't have a grasp for Science, facts and logic doesn't exclude the rest of humanity from having one. One doesn't need to believe he is God in order to exercise logic, math and Science, which is all I've done. Folks like you are the pinnacle of hypocrisy. You want to murder anything about Science until you get that pain in your chest and run to the hospital and have a cadre of doctors and nurses attending you with the hundreds of machines, medicines and procedures Science has put there. Suddenly all your talk and squawk about God is forgotten and all you care about is being saved === by SCIENCE. If you live, it's because of prayer and fk Science; if you die your family and friends will declare "God wanted you sooner" or "He works in mysterious ways" or something similarly divorced from the Science that either saved you or was unable to address your condition. You God sends you to the hospital and wastes everybody's time and energy. My God just takes me and is done. If I linger or even recuperate He has nothing to do with saving me....it's the doctors and nurses and the Scientific equipment and medications that do. This is the same science that puts Mt. Sainai at over 16k feet, meaning (for anyone with a brain who didn't drop out of 8th grade) that the flood waters that put it there would have to been 16k feet deep --- WORLDWIDE, in which case NO ONE would have survived (a few trees growing on the mountains, perhaps). The sole purpose SLOWLY drowning everyone and everything in the world instead of quickly doing so with the snap of His finger, makes your God cruel and unjust. He is, after all, the creator of all, including the human model. Whatever flaws it has, He made. Cutting to the chase, He might just as easily have made the human Free-Willed and Sin-Proof instead of Free-Willed and Sin-Prone. HIS CALL. HIS DECISION. I don't buy your God because if He did this knowing man would sin (instead of making it impossible for man to sin, which he could have done), then He did so for 1 of 2 reasons: He wanted to have people to send into eternal flames forever and watch them suffer, or He is INCAPABLE of having created a human model that was both Free-Willed and Sin-Proof. Either of those you choose falls short of an omnipotent God, which is why I believe in a God, just not yours and certainly not the silly, nonsensical stores and myths about Him that your bible espouses. And finally let me just point out to you that the problem with all the Gods of the world are the fault of the 4,600 religions and 2,500 bibles of our world. They can't all be right but ask anyone who believes in them and follows them and they will tell you THEIR God and THEIR bible is the only "right one". WHere does all this go, in that case? Look in the mirror and ask the image there, "Do I really need a God in order not to sin? Were it proved tomorrow, positively, that there is no God, would I then start stealing? Killing? Lying? Cheating? Or would I instead continue to excercise common, decent morals? " We do not NEED a God in order to be moral. That's not to cast doubt on the belief in the existence of a God, but rather to point to the hypocricy of man, who refuses to be RESPONSIBLE FOR SELF and chooses instead to blame a Devil for his misdeeds. He gets to do this all week long, then on Sunday, go to "church" where a man in a costume supposedly forgives him. YIPPPPPPPEEEE! He now has a whole new week in which to be sinful all over again, knowing that next Sunday he'll swear he didn't mean it, swear he's sorry, swear he seeks forgiveness and walks out of church -- headed for the bar. Mind you, not all of us are like that, just most of us. And in summary, if you live a generally good and loving life --- a moral life -- and die without believing in a God or having doubt about a God or having a different belief entirely in who and what God is -- and it turns out that there IS a God, every bit as selfish and self-centered as the Christian Bible (falsely in my opinon) makes him out to be, and he still send you to suffer in eternal flames, then that God is neither a just or loving God. He should be replaced by a truly loving and just God, removed from office, fired, and sold into slavery for retraining. So you see, it's not that I don't believe in God, I don't believe in YOUR God or a bunch of silly stories and myths in the bibles of the world. I DEFEND GOD against these silly stories and myths and demand that man get rid of the convenience of a Devil. Until man becomes RESPONSIBLE FOR SELF and stops using a Devil for his excuse to sin, nothing will change -- and the billions upon billions upon trillions of prayers that go unanswered will only continue growing in number. So too will the belief that at the end of a world-wide flood, animals like the pair of polar bears had to somehow find their way back to the ice caps, same for lions and giraffes and tigers who had to find their way down a 16k foot mountain and get back to their native land....having NOTHING to eat coz everything had been drowned. I could go on and on and on but there is no point if you aren't going to wake up and realize that there is NO Pair of shoulders in our world that doesn't have a HEAD on them. Must have been put there for a purpose (which would eliminate someone else using it for you).

    I'm sorry but there's no way no way no way that a man and his sons whom didn't know nothing about ship building made this. no way no way no way! and on top of that collected 2 of each animal (unless he sailed over to other continents to pick them up) come on this is so flipping stupid and so made up wow

    Although it being a "replica" of the ark is questionable, one has to admire the dedication in building such a project. Something I don't admire is yet another reporter making fun of something he obviously doesn't respect. You ask "why"? Snide reporters is not the reason. The reason is to serve as a major attraction and-- for those who care to do so-- offer a learning opportunity and memorable experience. And in case the reporter isn't aware of it: Kentucky is not the middle of nowhere. Asking why it was built in Kentucky is rather naive, isn't it? The answer is simple: Kentucky is a well-known tourist-attraction state. This is an extremely poor example of unbiased journalism. In other words "dose"... I could have done without the snide. So thumbs down on this one.

      @fillingtime 6 лет назад

      +rusda2 when you say coherent thought are you talking about how you deny how it is just not possible to fit all the animals into an ark, don't worry about it being impossible to build, feed the animals, prevent them from eating one another, sewerage issues. How is the world suddenly covered by so much water then it just disappears. The planet earth is a locked system, there is a finite amount of water. I know all these questions are above your intellect so just focus on telling me how the dinosaurs fit into and ark,? Even though modern human never walked the earth with these animals.

    • @rusda2
      @rusda2 6 лет назад +1

      Slarti - lol...yes it is possible...very possible. see your type doesnt think logically. for example, not every breed of dog we see today was included on the ark. not every breed of bird, etc etc etc. that vastly cuts down on the space needed.
      impossible to build? are you kidding me??? lol you look at all the incredible things men build today but you think it was impossible for men back then to build a SIMPLE boat??? yes it was big, but it was simple and no where near impossible to build.
      impossible to feed? have you read the bible at all? why do you think the clean animals were brought on by 7 pairs rather than just 2 pair for the unclean? many were used for food. most of the animals on earth are not carnivorous so most of the food stores where of plant origin, grains, beans etc. the deck of the boat could have easily been covered in containers containing fruit and vegetable plants.
      as for eating one another, there is this thing at the zoo called a CAGE which is usually more than adequate to keep animals separated...lol. honestly friend, do you even THINK before you post this stuff?
      sewage? oh come on dude, THINK. all they had to do is general farm work, just daily mucking out the stalls/cages and tossing the poop overboard. a lot of work yes but not impossible...very possible actually. as for the people, if they didnt want to sit hanging over the side, they could use a bucket...they did have those back then, and then again toss it overboard. no big deal. impossible? hardly.
      God is how the world was covered with so much water. under the earth are huge stores of water which the bible says were "broken up" and sent to the surface. can you imagine the hydraulic pressure released from the billions of tons of rock and dirt pressing down on the water? God is the Creator of the earth, He certainly knows how to accomplish a flood and where to get the water from. this not including the torrential downpours that accompanied the explosive underground water sources.
      I get the feeling you think the water just went away overnight. that is not what the bible says. it took a while after the rain stopped before any land showed...it had to evaporate. sun and wind did its thing. and even after they landed the water continued evaporating till we got where we are now. how this basic stuff escapes you guys is beyond me. everyone with a swimming pool knows water evaporates...lol...and very quickly in hot windy weather.
      apparently every simple thing you asked is above your intellect...lol.
      even to there are over 600 names for dinos, there are only about 50 kinds of dinos. see you guys ASSume that every single breed of every animal we see today had to fit on the ark. that is assumption and very bad logic for people like you who claim to be logical. same as the dog illustration I gave above. the dinos could have been brought on as eggs or very young, which would not require near the space.
      friend I understand what the reason for atheism and evolution and all these godless beliefs you guys have is. you are terrified of God. you are terrified what will happen if its true. you want to live your life without any possibility of being responsible for your thoughts and actions in this life. well I am sorry for you. you have a hard lesson to learn if you stick with your silly fairy tale evolutionary religious beliefs. and evolution IS a religion of faith. no proof. pure faith.
      any thinking man with an ounce of common sense knows that it is impossible for all the infinitely complex interworking systems of the human body, animals, nature, universe etc to have happened by accident. and that it is idiotic to think that life just "self generated' from non life. preposterous.
      why are their footprints of man inside a dino track if man never walked with dinos?
      where are all the currently in process examples of apelike creatures evolving into men? if its true we should see millions of them in different evolutionary stages. but what have we got? NOT ONE SINGLE EXAMPLE. NONE. NO ONE has EVER seen an apelike creature at all, let alone one evolving into a man. good day.

    Why the Ark? Because atheists put their belief in something that violates basic Biology 101 - that nonliving stuff became a living thing. Religious people freely admit their faith while atheists lie and deny using their faith even though they do. Either way, EVERYONE uses FAITH. Rather than have unscientific beliefs like "nonliving stuff became a living thing" which violates basic principles of biology, the Ark gives people an alternate view. Also, if being an atheist makes people bigoted and hateful in the process, who wants that in their life?

    • @usergio3

      Because people need to know there is a Creator in heaven. Men without God failed, and became so corrupted, God had to destroy them. The same thing is happening right now, and Christ will return to save those like Noah.
