      Apparently, you have not considered the fact that atheism is philosophically untenable. I will assume that you do not claim to know every mystery in the universe. Once you are willing to admit that you do not know everything in the universe, for all you know God is somewhere hidden in the holes of your knowledge. If on the other hand, you claim to know everything, then you have just made yourself the Supreme Being that you deny ... that is quite the conundrum for you. The best that you can claim is agnosticism; maybe there is and then again maybe there is no God. But atheism is a logical fallacy.

      Since (according to fundamentalists) the flood is supposed to have occurred in 2350 BC, and Abraham was born 232 years after the flood. That means most of that diversification would have had to be done in less than 232 years. Because Abraham's story is set in the late early bronze age, we have lots of evidence from that period of diverse interconnected civilizations spanning a globe full of diversity. I used to entertain the idea of a flood more like 14000 years ago (because there was a big flood) but it was not global. Which means the Noah story is more of a cautionary tale borne out of racial memory. "Fill the world with violence and the world will be destroyed" Everyone should believe that part of the story. "Do not allow the imagination of your heart to be only evil continually, or bad things happen." That's true. And that was the point. The point was never, "Oh wow, look at all the engineering Noah did." They strain out gnats and swallow camels.

    If I could just give one constructive suggestion: Think about how you would want to be treated on a guided tour. You ought title the videos professionally, invitingly, friendly, & courteously, as you would be inviting guest on a guided tour through your exhibits. The video itself is as friendly and inviting as anyone would expect to be treated on a guided tour. Answers in Genesis features a lot of professionals that give seminars in a matter-of-fact way. "Atheist Do NOT Like This..." and similar titles sounds petty, childish and confrontational, and not as matter-of-fact as it out to be. Are we confrontational, or are we seeking souls? Rather, I suggest crafting titles that tell us what the video is about. For example, this video could have simply have been titled, "Methods Noah Could Have Used to Care for the Animals Aboard the Ark." Simple; it tells me what the video is about, and what I can expect to learn from it. Trust me, you will get the confrontational atheist commenting any ways, but confrontation won't be blamed on you. Thanks, God bless.

    • @steveg1961
      @steveg1961 Год назад +23

      There are two other points about the title that you didn't mention.
      The title is in actuality a lie.
      First of all, atheists LIKE creationists - and they like young earth creationists the most of all. The reason for this is precisely because young earth creationist belief is itself a great demonstration, and such an obvious example, of the fundamentally irrational nature of religious belief.
      Second, the very premise of the title's remark is completely bogus - this is because, in reality the vast majority of NON-atheists (i.e., theists) around the world reject the religious doctrine of young earth creationism and disagree with young earth creationists JUST LIKE ATHEISTS DO. Indeed, even the vast majority of Christians around the world reject young earth creationism - and they think young earth creationism pseudoscience is just as bogus as atheists do. It's because of this obvious fact, that the very premise of the title is a lie: Every single time a creationist tries to pretend that this is some kind of "theists versus atheists" debate, he is literally employing a blatant lie.
      Of course, that is certainly NOT the only lie employed in creationist rhetoric. Creationist rhetoric is absolutely PERMEATED with all sorts of different lies like this, from one end to the other. It's all of these lies, big and little, that fill creationist rhetoric, because belief in creationism, and young earth creationism especially, literally REQUIRES all of these lies in order to sustain it and promote it.

    • @DaveRod76
      @DaveRod76 Год назад +10

      @@steveg1961 I would agree that the title is presumptuous, unless there is some kind of a way to measure the reaction of atheist that shows that atheist actually "do not like this part..." For example, does it always stump them in debates, is there a poll, a statistic; was there a questionaire that went out? Personally, I don't think the point of any ministry should be to "stump" the opposition to the Gospel. I don't see anywhere in the Bible when God asks us for help to defend his existance, and to scientifically validate the Word of God. Certainly, we should not intentionally provoke animosity in those who are already offended by the Word of God. Our job is not to mock "weak arguemnents," or talk down to people if they make arguements with little scientific evidence or big words. Worldly scoffers, and mockers and opponents to God will always be around, and increasingly more so in these latter times. But, our job as Christians is to bear the brunt of it with patience, not with rebuttles, and counter-mocking and counter-scoffing. Our job is to simply present the Good news that God provided the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, to be a substitute for our execution in judgment. The sin of Adam courses through our veins. We are the blood enemies of God by virtue of our Adamic ancestry. But God had mercey on us, like He had mercy on Noah and his family, insomuch that He has provided another Ark of Salvation for anyone who chooses to enter through the door. Praise God.

      There were no carnivores on the Ark because all animals ate plants prior to Noah's flood.
      What was on the Ark were the herbivore ancestors of carnivores and those carnivores descended or evolved sometime after Noah's flood after the population of animals had already increased.

    The funny thing is that you deny evolution as a way for animals to develop, but then propose an extremely fast evolution from the moment of the ark landing on Ararat to allow for the few "Kinds" of animals on that boat to develop to all the current animals. Such a rapid evolution is a pure fiction because that simply is not possible at the speed it had to have developed over just a few thousand years.
    And also it is quite amazing that the predators on the Ark obviously did not need to eat anything for several years after the flood until there were enough reproduction of the herbivores to have reached a population that could have withstood some "Culling" from predators. Were all predators in hibernation for a few hundred years or what?

      It’s “variation” not evolution. One kind can have many different variations. We are all one humankind but with many different visual variations within our kind.
      We’ve bred dogs to be very different from one another in a very short period of time. The early animal kinds as they repopulated the earth could have displayed variation quickly as they traveled to survive. But a bear doesn’t change into a tiger.
      In Genesis all animals were herbivores. Once man sins by disobeying God it brought death to all things. After sin animals began killing each other. The New Testament explains how the whole earth along with all the animals groan like birth pains waiting for man kinds redemption. The predictor animals on the ark could have easily eaten plants and then once the earth has repopulated they could have easily reverted back to killing and eating meat.
      If you don’t believe in God and the Bible it will be impossible to believe anything the Ark Encounter is presenting.

    I don't want to cause any arguments etc, but I find it very interesting the different povs between Christians and atheists in the comments. Atheists see all this as an impossible occurrence, because they believe of no higher power (God), but Christians see that is is possible because they do believe in a God, who was with Noah, helping him, and Noah and his family weren't alone.
    From my own perspective, I don't struggle in believing the great flood happened. One thing I've learned is that water didn't just "rain" down, but it came up from the earth. I believe theres a study to show there's enough water beneath the earth's land to cover it all? Not too sure off the top of my head. That, I believe, is what caused glaciers and fish fossils to be found up mountains etc. I do recommend looking into the science of it as well. Also, because I do believe in God, that means I accept the fact there is a higher power whom I can't even begin to understand his power and abilities, but I know I don't have to try and understand. Hope this makes sense!

      I let a domesticated pink pig out into the wild and within weeks it had changed colors to brown and it’s face started to look like a boar more than a pig! I’ve seen the same thing happen to a domesticated rabbit that got released into the wild, it’s coat changed color and it’s ears began to sit differently on its head. THESE TWO EVENTS TOOK A COUPLE WEEKS! IT DIDNT TAKE MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF YEARS!
      I have many more examples that thwart the uniformitarianist doctrine that was made up by a 14 year old Charles Darwin.
      Imagine the theories I could come up with as a 14 year old.
      He was making the theory up late in the enlightenment period. His neighbors were the Jeffersons (Thomas Jeffersons family) and the Bartrams (William Bartrams family)
      And today we use a 14 year olds theory as our truth of truths in regards to the age of the earth, Charles Darwin thought the world looked old, therefore it must be old. This was a 14 year olds theory you are using as your truth of truths.
      The Bible already warns you about false idols, looks like you missed the message.
      Why come on here to be a naive smart aleck?

    @arcadeinvader8086 2 года назад +38

    If there are an estimated 6.5 million species of land animal, and every single one of which would have needed to be represented on the boat if they can't evolve (not that the mere few thousand years between noah's flood and the present would be enough time for that anyway), then there had to be about 13 million land animals present on the ark. To be fair, the very vast majority of these are invertebrates (The boat would be blanketed with millions of insects and spiders). Still, there are almost 30 thousand vertebrate species many of which would require substantially more care than the invertebrates. True, many of them (I don't know how many exactly) are aquatic creatures, but some of those are freshwater animals who can't live in saltwater. If the entire earth flooded the water would naturally be quite salty, so noah would need on his ark facilities for housing aquatic creatures. He'd also need to find a way that, say, a polar bear could live in the same area as a desert reptile such that one isn't overheating or freezing, without having refrigeration or heat lamps. Very few land plants could survive the sudden rush of water or being submerged for several days, so noah would need to take seeds or saplings of every species of land plant with him, as well as all aquatic plant species. Like the animals, many plant species die without a carefully controlled climate, so he'd need a way to do that, again without refrigeration or heat lamps. With all their hosts destroyed, billions of species of microbe would have gone extinct, so noah's passengers would need to carry them or they wouldn't be around today.
    So noahs gotta go everywhere on earth, including the americas, australia and antarctica (BEFORE he has a floating ark to get there), gather up millions of bugs and spiders, thousands of larger animals, locate and collect samples of almost half a million land plants, then put on his diving gear and get the freshwater plants and animals. Then he needs to find examples of every disease and parasite that his animals and family can suffer from and infect them with it.
    Then once the flood is over he's gotta spread all those plants and animals across 7 continents with the only means of getting them across the oceans now grounded, somehow keep the plants from just dying immediately in the saltwater-saturated earth, somehow keep the animals from just dying immediately since there's nothing but each other to eat, and then, and only then, can he finally....
    ... try to expand his disease-stricken family on a planet that's almost entirely lifeless, unfarmable mud and undrinkable salty water.
    edit: 3 things I forgot:
    1: fungus. Noah would also need to go collecting samples from all the various fungal species that would otherwise be destroyed like the plants.
    2: All the rain and mixing of water would cause a huge drop in the ocean's overall temperature. Some sensitive saltwater aquatic species, like tropical fish, would also need to be kept on the ark to survive the sudden change in temperature and nutrient balance. I don't know if any shark or whale species would need to be brought on board.
    3: he could potentially skip some of the plant species that would get killed by the flood, if they had seeds that were hardy enough to survive it. Of course, they would be spread all over the world so we would see these same plant species everywhere. I mean, assuming they didn't just die in the salty earth when it was over.

      The active word in polar bear is "bear" . Just like grizzly " bear " .brown " bear" . Any rudimentary knowledge of genetics refutes what you're saying .
      It takes MORE faith to believe a frog turned into a human than to have faith that a guy built a boat . Which has been documented all over the world .

The explanation is that kangaroos and the like migrated from the ark to a location where they could eventually thrive. Only the population in Australia survived. All other populations died out. The first two kangaroos didn't hop all the way to Australia. More likely it was a group of their descendants several hundred years later.

    • @jefferygoldthorpe919
      @jefferygoldthorpe919 Год назад

      @Slavery is Freedom, War is Peace Fossils require a catastrophic burial event to form, therefore fossils of kangaroos might not form. Why would it take thousands of years to migrate that far? Populations under pressure often move much faster. The Chinese have written records going back to about 1250 BC, which is only 3250 years ago, not 5000. The Australian aboriginals have no artifacts of any kind which can be reliably dated, using either luminescence dating or carbon dating. Even then scholars disagree, some putting it as recently as 10,000 years and others going as far to say 70,000 years. Carbon dating does not take the flood into account. This would have buried most of the available carbon effectively resetting the C14/12 clock. By the way did you know that the person who invented carbon dating assumed that the amount of C14 in the atmosphere was stable? New measurements prove it isn't.

Located at 6500 ft elevation near the largest anchor stones ever found, 3D scans revealed a preserved hull, internal compartments, bulkheads, uniform vertical ribs, and same Biblical specs (300 x 50 x 30 cubits with 3 decks). Partially petrified wood planks laminated together with organic cement, coated with bitumen, iron nails, and aluminum-titanium alloy rivets inserted into holes - similar to modern methods. Also contained fossilized animal dung, animal fur, and a single horn. Located on a mountain translated as "Doomsday Mountain" next to village historically called "Village of the Eight" (8 in Noah's family). . tube serch "noah ark evidence for location" and "noah ark in plain sight". The Durupinar site was previously dismissed as a natural formation decades ago but that was before the advent of the high tech. ultrasound scanning came along - this is why they went back to take another look since machine excavation would have ruined the site.

      If you look on the Chines calendar all the animals are real, or do you not see the dragon as real? Why? It's not because of historic evidence but modern cartoons. In the same way you put out a pink haired unicorn when the descriptions through history are of a hairy rhino that we now know was real, but died out. Christian scientists believe animals go extinctic, I know you agree. But do we agree that the Bible has value as written history even if it goes against assumed secular teachings taught as fact when the secular teachings lack the evidence for what they claim?
      The word Dragon is an old word, the word Dinosaur is fewer than 200 years old. The word might be new, but the beast lived and seemed to have lived according to written history of every culture alongside humans.
      From Job 40- Ask yourself what beast eats plants, lives in a swamp, has a massive tree like tail, strong legs, and belly this strong?
      Most picture a long tailed and long necked dinosaur, this scripture is over 4000 years old, if you read the whole book it also talks about ice, remember this book is from the middle East, funny how it talks about ice in the land in supporting ice age history that others claim is never written about as others are allowed to PUSH and promote what they assume and refuse written history as fact and that's allowed and encouraged. Why? Because this is spiritual. Pray that God shows you the truth, you don't want to be wrong.
      “Look at Behemoth,
      which I made along with you
      and which feeds on grass like an ox.
      16 What strength it has in its loins,
      what power in the muscles of its belly!
      17 Its tail sways like a cedar;
      the sinews of its thighs are close-knit.
      18 Its bones are tubes of bronze,
      its limbs like rods of iron.
      19 It ranks first among the works of God,
      yet its Maker can approach it with his sword.
      20 The hills bring it their produce,
      and all the wild animals play nearby.
      21 Under the lotus plants it lies,
      hidden among the reeds in the marsh.
      22 The lotuses conceal it in their shadow;
      the poplars by the stream surround it.
      23 A raging river does not alarm it;
      it is secure, though the Jordan should surge against its mouth.

Until then they are mythical. Lots of people say Aliens from other planets are real. More of them than people who claim dragons are real. That doesn't mean they are real. *I too, have always felt that God did not necessarily put full sized adult animals into the ark...but rather had small, baby sized elephants, baby cubs, baby giraffes, etc..go into the Ark. (or at the very least the animal teen version...not full sized adult animals.) By having young ones go in...they'd take up less room. They're healthier for reproducing afterward. I also speculate that God may have put all the animals in some kind of slumber-hybernation mode to not only eat less because of less energy expended...(thereby reducing the need for massive food-storage space for the animals, Noah & family) ...but also to keep the animals calm during the cataclysmic event! With God all things are possible.*

What you find is different strata each with fossils corresponding to different geologic time periods. Yes, there was a super continent that broke up a few hundred million years ago due to continental drift which is still going on, not caused by a meteorite, but an asteroid did strike the the earth 66 million years ago spelling the end of the dinosaurs. The crater has been found and the iridium layer the impact left is found all over the world. Dinosaur fossils below this layer, none above. No, an ape did not magically become man. Noah had three sons at the age of 500. He entered the ark at the age of 600. When he was told about the upcoming flood is not mentioned in scripture but he could have had as much as 100 years to build the ark. The animals were brought to Noah, he didn't transport them. The geographical mix of animals today is likely very different from animals then. A worldwide flood would necessarily have rearranged the topography of the planet. Food can be preserved by a huge number of methods. Silage for example is a nutrient dense form of food for most animals.

If you tried to turn on every single feature of your car at the same time, chances are it would stop working really fast, namely the accelerator and brakes, or even all the lights. There are reasons why those features have 'on/off' switches and valves. Same idea for DNA: If a dog that had both the short hair gene and the long haired gene moved to a colder climate, then the short-hair gene regressed. What else did the need - Larger nostrils because colder climates could also mean higher elevations. Thicker pads on their paws, and other things.
