I really liked the inclusion of the Aikido wrist technique there. Nikkyo (second control) and Sifu here is actually quite correct in most Aikido there is too much choreographed movement. In my system of Aikido, T. K. Chiba lineage, Nikkyo is done slightly different to avoid the Mexican standoff position you demonstrated. In our system, we trap the hand as you did however the hand BEING does not lay palm down (flat) on the opponent's wrist because he has equal opportunity to respond with the same Nikkyo, in our style, we keep the palm on a 90° angle usually with fingers splayed and extention of intention and Ki energy. I have found this to be a much more effective way. But exactly the same energy mentioned here. In fact, with sinking Ki and correctly timed with the breath its and easy wrist break so much so that in Birankai (Chiba lineage) students are taught very specific ways to receive technique to minimise injury.
All in all a wonderful video Sir!

I was wondering if you planned to also cover Silat, the malaysian and indonesian equivalent to Kung Fu, someday. I'm seeing a pattern where you need to have that internal energy, then the techniques will work regardless of brute strength. It seems like once you have this, like Sifu Sergio, you can become quite adept at any martial arts.

Very Good. All the Critics only give lip service and never actually go and feel it. This is the difference between having ones Ego subdued or Growing the Ego so big with talk only and they don't actually experience it . It astounds me, why critics say its rubbish and then don't actually seek proof... They just say its rubbish and leave it at that... No one can grow in life with that outlook. Go and seek this teacher if you don't believe and you will be sorry you ever had such an Ego. I support Tai chi chuan Skills as well As Wing chin and other arts that show softness to over come hardness it is real and not magic.

    Good afternoon sifu.
Can stiky energy stop a wrestling takedown?
    they are very fast.
If you are taken to the ground, can you use your internal energy to counter a bjj fighter?
I have no doubts about the effectiveness of the internal style against stand-up fights, my doubts are about takedowns and fights on the ground.

If you know the point, you can keep the opponent from landing. If you let them land, you give them power. No landing = no power. If they have no power, they can't resist. If you don't *know*, everything else is useless because you won't see when the condition is there (or not).

Did you feel the internal part?
Or was it just muscle..bones....redirection to destruct and set the balance off?
This is all what we wonder about?
I hope from now on all time of demonstration shows a beast in front of him...or a small person that applies this...in western world...bouncers are like sumo wrestlers..fierceful mass of moving energy like a mastiff...this is syn that would make us believe or lose faith...I hope you both next time have some time to enrich the presentations to that end.
    Respectfully to both of you

Hi, as a Democrat I'm always culturally sensitive to variant cultural practices and perspectives. I was just trying to understand the sinking aspect of the technique. Are you lowering your body weight or are you compressing your internal structure within downward?

    • @Simon2k17
      @Simon2k17 3 месяца назад

Depends on the situation. If you are a bouncer and in close range, maybe yes. Against high level trained professionals like in the UFC, probably not. It's hard to stick to a high speed punch and hard to catch the opponent that has good footwork. Most internal stylists get knocked out before even getting into trapping or clinch range. The reason being is that alot of internal qualities rely on focus and the spine. The moment you get hit in the face, you lose both focus and it disrupts the spine due to the impact. This will turn off your internal power instantly and you'll end up relying on muscle to win the fight anyways. If we doubled the level of this guy in the video...maybe.

It would be great if everyone would tell what chin na they were using in terms of short arm long arm or rolling the grand circle before there video. Because I see a lot of videos that mix more than one system of chin na like your first roll back would be countered by a step out shoulder press pluck into the opponents roll back would be rolling into grand push hands. Where if you were to counter with gan da downward outward block and split to the neck it would be short arm chin na. There is two different systems of movement that applications could come from one being static the other dynamic. Just a observation from practice. Wing chun would use short arm chin na so the stepping backwards roll back posture kinda threw me for a loop because in wing chunk you would shift to keep forward pressure and the arm lock would roll inward and downward instead of being roll pulled backward.

How come we do not see practitioners of this art in UFC? Looks like they can become champions very fast very easily, and the figths will be very short, at the first contact, the fight will be over.
Either it is not applicable in a real fight situation or maybe too much cooperation of the students with the teacher believing it is actually happening.....
