- Our friend Miguel brought his brand new 4Runner TRD Pro so we can build it into a TRD SUPER PRO.
we installed king lift kit, arb bumper and compressor, TJM snorkel and bunch of other goodies.
we also recreated the original 4Runner decals that makes it one of a kind. if you would like to purchase these decals for your 4runner contact us on IG @catunedoffroad or on our website at catunedoffroad.com
Awesome job 👍🏆👍🏆👍🏆👏
Love the build but why go TRD Pro if you're just going to rip everything out. Could have went TRD Off Road with KDSS and did the same for less. Great build though.....
Exactly!
Dead on right. But I reckon if you got the $ you can afford to have the "TRD PRO" badge on it so you can say you own a Pro. lol I would say for this kind of redo, might as well start with an SR5. I personally did start with the TRD Off Road because of exactly what you said. I wanted the KDSS for 1. I wanted to save some $ for #2. Because it is just as capable as the Pro. And depending on what you are trying to do, capable is all I need. I am not building a beauty brag queen. lol I do like the graphics on this rig. As a mall rig it would stand out and get some attention. On the trails, it would just be 1 color for me... dirt. lol
Isn't it clear? He's all Pro 4...
Yeah to each his own but obviously he has the money to do what he wants its his money.
Maybe options? I was trying to compare the differences a week ago as I am dreaming of buying my second 4runner (sold the first 2012 SR5 4x4 when I moved to Japan. I was not expecting to come back to the states, but the Navy said I needed to-dayem). My SR5 was very capable. Check out the vids. But back to this guy buying the TRD Pro, there are probably options in the Pro package that you can't get in the other trims. Like what other people have said too, he's got the money, so why not? It's still a nice rig
Love how the decals tide the whole project together
A few months ago I absolutely hated the look of the 4Runner. Now I love it. Damn this thing is beautiful.
Dude! Those are the stripes from the 80s.
Thank God even in California you can buy what you want, and change it to whatever you want. It's Freedom get over it or get out! 👍👍 On your Pro,Bro...
Awesome build upgrades. Shout-out to the Mechanics, all pro, great sense of humor. Guys I would trust with my ride 👍😊
Those decals mimic my 1988 SR5 4runner. I should have never, ever sold it......
Why spend the money on a TRD Pro, and then have it ripped out.
Great work. 4runner came out great !
Great video! Enjoy the vibe and passion for building these rigs - thank you!
Owner needs it do e so he can cruise it around the mall
Great build great job
Good job my friend 👍👍👍
We do 20 arb bumpers per month and it is easy. Quality is the best. Only bar that is airbag proven
Love the TRD!
Thanks bro
Hi, i would like to purchase the decal. I don't think it is on your website. Thanks
Good job buddy! Keep at it 👊🏻
2 questions:
1- What is a better bumpers for front and rear that will allow installing the sensors ?
2- Can a keyless entry number pad be installed?
Looks sweet
Awesome!
It looks like that steel bumper will be interfering with the headlights
I'm insecure and suffer from low self esteem, I need the Badges that say TRD Pro for my self worth, and to look cool in the carpool lane, picking up the kids. I thought that getting an arm sleeve of meaning less Tats would help, but it didn't. So I grew a full beard and shaved my head, but that didnt help either. Now I feel like a Millennial Clone. Lucky for me, my parents Basement is warm as its getting below zero tonight and my Bald head is freezing!
Buen ensamble
👏👏👏👏👏
How much is for do all the job??
Cool build, but i agree with other comments on why buy a Pro that will be upgraded, unless, those original pro parts will be put into some other future upgrade
Are you selling the decals? Would love to match the new 4R to the 87!!
Nice truck. Some salty people in the comments section.
Can it really be called a Super Pro without a supercharger?
So, when you do a job like this, do you end up with extra parts like I always do? That's kind of normal isn't it?
looks awsome
i want the front bumper on my pro hecvk ya
Dopeness
To everyone mentioning that he should of just got the SR5. The SR5 doesn't come with lots of the factory goodies that the trd or the trail come with, like KDSS, e-locker, multi terrain and crawl control.
Who makes the decals?
You guys are good. Trying to get one
285 or 295 on tire size?
I would’ve spent the money on rcv cv axels and get that life time warranty stronger than oem and beats doing a SAS
What is he adding at @5:45 and what's the use of it ?
Its a snorkel for driving through water
Did you build a LC with a Mercedes diesel? Let’s see that
Why no SAS?
So... How much does all the install and labor costs?
Same question. About 10k?
Install was Labor only, Most shops will quote you an hourly labor only rate.
If you gotta ask, you can't afford it.
@@UncleFjester well that's almost as ignorant as me just honestly not knowing the answer. Thanks for the response and for being a complete asshat at the same time 👍
Uncle Fjester why even comment if you are not going to give a number idiot. People have different priorities and it may not be worth investing stupid money on a car. Not necessarily we cant afford it.
I love the build but other than doing it for the look it doesn't make sense to me. I run kings coilovers on my offroad toys and when king personally dial my shocks in they are a thing of beauty. But unless you are willing to seriously modify your stock truck suspension the Trd setup will work just as well. The trd 4 runner is a beast. I run the shit out of mine in the desert. Will it out run a raptor in the desert ? No but it gets there a little slower than my Raptors friends without any breakage.
How much money 💴
Pro? Off Road? Limited? Hell no, if your going to rip it up get an SR5.
For all the people reading the comments doing homework and thinking of purchasing a 4runner...DO NOT BUY A PRO if you are going to RIP out the suspension and put better suspension in it!
Also, how lazy does one have to be to pay someone else to install these things for you. I mean isn't the whole point of having a rig is to work on it..But California :)
too late lol i got the pro because itl be a couple years before i can get the mods i want but the pro fox set up is great and rides awsome plus it was th ecolour i wanted i hop e to build mine similar to this at least the front bumper is the styl i want sweet
@@overlandinusa1517 California is such a great state. We have the best in everything. Medicine, food, cultures, climate, women, men, education, technology, etc...
What......... no supercharger. Ok let's call it super pro version 1.... version 2 get a supercharger.
Stupid
Why buy a pro to take it apart.... buy a TRD off road instead
Angel rich people don’t care
Angel the interior features are probably more sophisticated and better
What no Magnuson SuperCharger ? Weak
It should have a solid axle.Weak as CV boots everywhere..gaf
The bumper is to big
Look like you getting alot of sagged in the front
I would never let this guy work on my stuff, disgusting shop.....details???
What kind of moron buys a TRD Pro then rips out everything that he just paid for. Seriously...that's more money than sense right there. I'm sure this shop loves noobs like this.
Agreed. Buy an off road edition and take the money saved and some out off pocket and go all in on mods ,including a supercharger, and watch to PRO poser boys disappear in your rearview mirror.
