Absolutely right. This is more of a no holds barred build but the outdoors are easily accessible with even a semi capable vehicle. A 4wd 3rd gen 4runner stock will keep up with this build almost anywhere.
But I have a 2015 4Runner Trail, so that’s what I’d do these upgrades on if I did it. What is the rough total cost for the upgrades you did on *this* vehicle?

You're driving the exact same color and trim level of 4Runner I've got on order, only mine's a 2021. Watching this has me stoked. I can't wait until July when it arrives to the dealership.
Some dealerships do sell brand new, modified vehicles. Ed Martin Toyota in Indiana has a similar build for sale right now (sans the supercharger). Findlay Toyota here in Vegas has a custom shop that will do just about anything you want.
I'd love to hear more feedback on the super charger! I know the number one complaint with 4runners is power and I wonder if the supercharger helps with that.
@@Outworld I would have to agree. After my Magnuson supercharger install the power is more linear and up top it's got a punch! I still have 265/70-17 tires. So interested how the 285s feel without gearing and the supercharger.
Love it! Definitely some schmeckles spent on that build. I can’t even decide if a front bumper is on my radar. After factoring in a wench, lighting, shipping and install that’s a lot of coin.
What is interesting is the order of things done. While it was all planned to be done in a short time frame, most people buying rigs for multi-purpose don't do mods in this order. Tires, then sliders. Get those on and your are moving and grooving with grip and some required protection for your rock rails straight away. Can figure out all the rest as time goes on.;)
I've had a stock 4Runner one for a little over a year. Unless you're towing in hilly areas you really don't need it. Sure it's annoying for it to downshift two gears on a steep grade, but is it $7,000 annoying? Nah. The whine ain't worth that much either
It's tough for me to say because the armor tires and supercharger all went on so close together. I've been fully loaded with the tent on more often than not and I'm averaging just below 13mpg.
There's nothing I'd rather drive than my '05 TJ Rocky Mtn for off roading, especially beach/dune wheelin, trails and just cruising around in the warmer months. Doors and top in the garage where they belong. But if I'm going to be taking the family on a long trip, there's nothing better than a 4Runner. Both vehicles last forever, well at least the 4.0L I6 engine does, can't say the same about everything else on a Jeep. Everything else seems to just f n break! The TJ is a fun toy while the 4Runner is the real deal.
Lol, buys a $50k suv, spends an extra $15k+ on accessories without lifting a wrench. And all those accessories and no front locker... Wish I had that kind of money to throw out. Like others said, you don’t have to spend $70k to go out and explore the country.

Not bashing 5th genners, but damn 4runners are dinosaurs. In a good way. I love that my 4th Gen, post facelift, is basically a 5th Gen. However, about 200-600 pounds lighter and tuned a bit different. I'm excited to get my build of the ground soon.

Instagram is @outworldhq - you can see everything in action there. As for the snorkel, I can't decide on which one. The TJM is much more low-profile but not a fan of the static head position. The ARB has it but the body of the snorkel is just way bulky.

just a reminder, you dont need to spend this much to go out and see the outdoors. buy a cheap 4x4 and learn how to fix it up for less than $10k
