    Awesome video guys! Really loving the detail oriented content so far! You mentioned that the kit uses T100 CV axles. How much stronger if at all are they than the stock shafts? Also what are the specs on the 4Runner? Still single case? What rear axle? Gears and Lockers?

    • @michaelmagruder3728
      @michaelmagruder3728 Год назад +4

      Thanks brother! As far as strength goes on the CV's, I haven't broken one yet, and they are just NAPAs since Toyota doesn't make them anymore. But they are holding up great so far! It's just a longer 4Runner CV, which is why they work for the kit. It's still got the single chain driven case and the stock rear axle. I regeared it to 5.29 and it has an Eaton Elocker in the rear with a front to match soon!

I would love to see another video of this rig wheeling, maybe some information on what tire size you are running, maybe any issues with the kit, etc. Also, how does it handle on the road?? I am consodering this kit over doing a solid axle conversion because it is different and looks pretty capable. Any information is appreciated! Thanks!

    What made you pick the JD kit over the TC?

    • @treehouseoffroad
      @treehouseoffroad  21 день назад

      Honestly dude at this point the TC almost seems like the better deal cause they include the uniball LBJs in the kit now, and they didn't when I bought mine. But the other reason is because JD fabs shock hoop is already welded and the TC one is not, so that will require more planning and execution. Also JD had shocks in stock and it was during covid.
      I think a mix & match is the best bet honestly.
      If I had to do it over again today; TC arms, JD shock hoop, TC idler, TC steering
