This man does thing the right way! Nice truck Sir, you rock that truck for certain! Love the work you perform, I’m putting in a fresh 383 with Tremec 5 speed in Spring into mine. It’s a “63” love these old trucks! Bought mine from Alabama from a man who’s didn’t know what he was doing with the old truck. Your truck is so cool! Keep-um rollin…
Thanks man I’ve been in construction for 36 years framed a lot of houses, I’ve always enjoyed doing this on the side this truck will be going to my dad. Happy Thanksgiving
What a great moment to capture! I'd have probably gone with black on the breather, but that chrome is pretty. Thanks for not putting music over the fast motion.
I have been digging to find all your videos on this truck build. Very nice work, meticulous, and an eye for detail. I like the old L-79 350 HP 327 air cleaner. Thanks for sharing.
Having a 600 hp 383 striker built fo our 64 now. In the process of taking a 350 motor and trans out now. Lots of good hints and tips from this video. Thanks for posting.
Great channel. Very comprehensive and the attention to detail and quality makes other channels pale when compared..."This is how you build a nice truck"
Perfect information. I had exactly the same questions about the mounts, bell housing, etc. Thanks so much. You saved me much confusion. I will run the factory 3 speed as well, and adding an over drive. Everything else like your build.
It's nice to go to the junk yard for stuff .In jersey we have "salvage" yards ,everything gets scrapped .I like the low tech ,no modern crap that looks cute .Someday Pop might want a/c though .
Good to see ya!!! I figured you was working your ass off!!! The truck is going to glide down the road. "Happy Thanksgiving" and enjoy that yard bird and stuffings!!! w.w.
Hello! I’m so happy I came across your channel. I inherited my grandfather’s ’62 Chevy C10 step side years ago and can finally spend some $$ on some things. I’ve decided to give up on the original and very tired straight six and go with a 350 while keeping the three on the tree. Watching this video has made me very excited at the possibilities. Any advice you can give is welcome.
Careful now. You’re gonna end up liking this one more than the red one...okay, maybe not, but man O man is this one going be real sweetheart when you’re done with it. As always, great stuff from the coolest one-car garage on the planet.
Is there a simpler way to do AC? without serpentine setup Im a newb and don't need PS or PB but where I live you have to have AC even in the winter. normally AC compressor is up top on PS and the alternator is on the DS but these trucks are factory setup mostly without ac and alternator is on the PS like his. Can you run the hoses across? do you use a long water pump? reverse water pump? Compressor down low? or just put the alt on the DS and the compressor on the PS.
I was just reviewing your last videos and wondering what's next n here u r... I am working on my 64 n cannot keep up with your speed. How do u get the time n energy
Love the vids! I'm rebuilding a 1960 c10 and I'm going to swap the i6 out for a 350. The i6 is mounted from the front. Any suggestions of how to properly measure to drill holes for side mounts?
Hello Mr. Gibson, I'm working on a 1964 GMC LWB and was wondering where you ordered your suspension parts, engine mounts and transmission cross member. would like to freshen up the frame on my truck and you made it look pretty easy.
I'm ready to put my tranny and motor together I was just curious to find out what type of torque converter you're running I bought the truck with a rebuilt transmission supposedly, and I have no idea what the stall is so I'm thinking about replacing it and I don't know what type of stall to put in it it's a stock 350 with a mild cam. Yours looks great I wish I could get mine to look half as good as yours...
I used the same motor mounts. Did you have any cab/distributor clearance issues? I put a BB 496 in a 67 but cab is off awaiting sheet metal and paint. How much you charge me to repair my cab? 😁 I’ll deliver. It would make you a good video. A money maker. 😁
@@blake1995 lol. Guess it wasn't really clear. I had volume all the way up because I had loud trucks idialing next to me. When the video sped up and he started to hammer that hammering got extremely loud. All good. I turned it down then back up when he talked

Y'all made that look easy. That dual snorkel housing looks awesome.
Yeah the single Long neck snorkel are supposed to go on these old Chevrolets but I figured I’d be different I think it looks pretty cool
What a great moment to capture! I'd have probably gone with black on the breather, but that chrome is pretty. Thanks for not putting music over the fast motion.
Hey Gibson! Your videos have been really helpful in my Chevy build so thank you. That was cool how you spun the truck around.
Great looking, that chrome air filter looks real good, it gives it the "Back in the day" accessory look.

Nice job detailing the donk. Goes to show that you don't have to spend a fortune on billet and chrome parts to get a good, clean, detailed look.
As always, very professional looking work. Yea, "don't scratch up my nice paint work" !! ;o) Gonna look real pretty when you open the hood !! 👍👍

Love the air breather.

The breather would look good anodized black on top of the chrome.
That motor and transmission is sexy
Beautiful! thank you for the video
Nice truck!
Thanks man
Amazing 👍👍
That engine looks great. Love that Chevy Orange. What kind of intake did you put on it?
Needs a 2000 4.3 vortec serpentine belt setup gives you a.c. mount and power steering
That would be pretty cool maybe later on down the road

Yeah definitely looking good. Those holes in the valve covers are for breather caps I assume?
yes breather cap and to pour the oil in
AWESOME!!!!!
What transmission did you put on your crate 350 and where can I buy it?
Badass!!!!

Tony Willridge suspension parts came from (early classic enterprise) Motor and transmission mounts Came from eBay
Did you use a long or short water pump? Where did you get your pulleys? Is this a 2 belt system or serpentine?
I'm ready to put my 350 and trans in and need to know what flex plate did you use

Woah woah woah! Scratching everythin up! haha. Still, looks good!
Cool
Who did u use for parts
What ring &pinion did you run in your axle
Wondering where did u get the motor mounts and transmission mount? Im putting a 350 small block with a auto turbo400 transmission

What headers did you use
Where did you order the mounts
What brand are the motor brackets?
I got a 65 c10 stepside that id like to turn into a v8.
Gibson, all business no bull shit.
Did you have to change the floor pan to get the transmission clearance?
Did not have to change the floor pan transmission fit right in
I used the same motor mounts. Did you have any cab/distributor clearance issues? I put a BB 496 in a 67 but cab is off awaiting sheet metal and paint.
How much you charge me to repair my cab? 😁 I’ll deliver. It would make you a good video. A money maker. 😁
Did you have clearance to get the distributor in?
Yes no problem
I just got a 66 swb with same combo in it but my driveshaft is a little too short. Is there a standard oem shaft i can buy that fits these?
I used the original length drive shaft in this truck, I also installed a different tail shaft on this transmission
@@Gibson63. maybe a different tail shaft or some type of slip yolk are my answer. Thanks for the reply.
Is that por15 on the frame or actual paint?
Not por15. just primer and paint
have you ever worked on a 327 i got a 63 c10 that came with a 327 and im taking it out this week do you recommend anything?
Don’t know too much about the 327 engines what are your plans or are you going to rebuild the 327 or put something else in it
