- Trying out our brand new Browning Strike Force Pro XD trail camera this week (neglected to set the time and date - oops). First night out, a swamp wallaby (Wallabia bicolor) scratches the lens. Dammit! Now I don't generally like to indulge in anthropomorphism, but I swear that after assaulting the camera, it sounds like this fellow kindly gives the camera a quick kiss. Uh thanks, I guess....

Oh my goodness. Wildlife never disappoint. Much love.
Am enjoying today’s banter as well as the informed comments and engaging clip. Starting with the title. A great start to the day. Thank you.
Hello Robyn, I hope you had an awesome weekend :)
@@GubanaNatureRefuge yes indeed I did. Viewed your post etc then had breakfast. With fewer people out and about, the local magpies held a choir session. Each year the male adds extra trills. Just listened to their singing today. Usually I whistle back with the butcherbird melody. They give me side eye.
I have tried to whistle the Maggie’s song but can only manage the melody line. A few months ago I whistled to the male who was out without his family. He listened, eyeing me intently. I tried again. He whistled it back to me- just the one melody thread. I was so pleased at making this connection- until he burst out in his full melody plus grace notes in a bravura performance, looked at me (with some contempt I believe) and flew off in disgust at my hubris. So now I know my place and just listen. That’s the sort of happy detail that makes each day a joy.
Sweet smooches - love it 🥰❤️🙏🏻
Hello Summer, I hope you are having a marvellous weekend :)
Roos got my feeling some type of way
Hello AA, it's hard not to, isn't it :)
Thank you for taking the time to comment
Noice a thousand and eighty seven people got s m o o t c h
I thought a Crow was going to come out of nowhere and get those huge tics.🤨😳
Hello Fighting Irish, what you can see stuck the wallaby's fur are actually burrs from the rough burr-daisy (Calotis scabiosifolia). We don't see adult ticks in winter, and ticks always cluster around the head and ears where the wallabies can't remove them with their teeth.
@@GubanaNatureRefuge Thank you for the clarification!
I didn't see any ticks either but was expecting a crow anyway
This channel is so underrated but with good videos
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement - much appreciated
Are you going to have more birds picking ticks videos this year?? Love your channel regardless! Thanks!
My those ticks are fat and ready for birds to pluck

record - crows removing ticks part 6 pleaseeeee.... .
Hello Mr A, the cameras just capture what there is - and this season was not a huge tick season. It's winter now, so we won't know until spring (October-ish) if the next season will be a big tick season. Believe me, as soon as we have tick footage, there will be a tick video.
