In the seventies my mother’s first cousin was also my godfather. My mother never really liked him because of the businesses he was in and his associates. One business was called Mattresses USA . My older brother told me years after he was gone, that mattresses he sold as new were all from hotel rooms. He also said he was mafia and that’s why our mother didn’t want him around. Over the years I ran into a lot more people who had stories of GF Frank B .

Did she really try to complain about them taking 1 hr to move everything out of her 3 bedroom house!? I was thinking, wow...1 hr is great time!! She clearly has no concept on how long things take. The last time I moved, I also hired professionals. They let me know they were taking a 30min break and stopping by the gas station to get food and use the bathroom between picking up my items, and dropping them at the new place. They let me know I wouldn't be charged for that time. Of course I was more than happy to oblige...because they are HUMANS that need a breather while doing a heavy lifting and manual work. Some people think when they hire someone, they have to act like robots. Also, if she was really concerned about her "expensive fancy" furniture, she should have paid for the optional insurance.

The plaintiff definitely got a little bit extra then what she was probably legally entitled to. It's a shame that she lied about her signature, because that was way too similar.
It is amazing to me that this guy does not have his customers sign something at the end of the move acknowledging everything is okay. When I ran a window cleaning company, every customer had to sign their work order. No matter if it was $7 or $7,000. If they didn't sign it, they didn't have to pay it.

If you’re going to pay a bunch of money to move your belongings then you should be there with your phone or video camera recording every move they make and check their reviews beforehand. I’d take pictures before they were moved, a list of items as they’re being put on the truck so there would be an accurate count and description of items being moved, and then videos and pictures and a checklist afterwards. They can complain all they want but they aren’t leaving and I’m not signing until we’ve both checked everything and it’s all clear. I’m the type to be upfront before I even hire them and tell them that I’ll be documenting everything. Every moving company I’ve dealt with limits their liability to mere cents to the pound. It really doesn’t make it worth the move unless you have high end valued furniture and pay for extra insurance and wrap it in several layers of bubble wrap before being loaded.

Most of my furniture I find in thrift stores or on the side of the road. My 1960s formica table I got from my flatmates boss ,he didn't want it anymore. It's that light blue/grayish color and it had black legs. I wanted to give it a makeover so I sanded the legs and found a paint that matched the table top. Instead of painting them the original black they were. It looks quite cute. And my chairs were all found on the side of the road and at thrift stores I just restored them and painted them different shades of pink, they are old fashioned ones and none match lol, it's the same with all my cutlery and plates and bowls and stuff they are all vintage and none match, but i love it like that !!!. 💞😅 my lounge suite is from around 1985 those velour and wood ones . It's so solid.!!! It needs a reupholster and a makeover on the wooden parts. I just buy pieces here and there and take my time and restore them. My favorite color is pink lol 😆 💗 I'm looking for a 1970s double bed at the moment with an oak headboard and end. I saw one the other day for only $150 with that old wire base the mattress goes on. But some one already brought it !!! It was so beautiful reminded me of my parents old bed they had when I was little 🙏💖💕

I don’t understand why the plaintiff is so bent on destroying this business. The defendant’s employees accidentally damaged her old, particle board bed. Is it frustrating? Yes. But cheap furniture doesn’t do well when it’s taken apart and shimmied up and down multiple levels of a home. If you’re moving, buy insurance. Read the contracts you sign. Protect yourself. Don’t try to destroy someone’s entire business when they haven’t wronged you beyond a minor accident.

@@James-134 because "men" means 2 males and "college hunks" means young, attractive, so if you want 2 males or young, attractive men then you know who to call. "Studs" are animals used for breeding. Hiring a stud implies insemination. So, if I want my furniture moved I would hire 2 men, and if I wanted to get off on watching them, maybe a couple of hunks. I have no use for "young studs" and the name gives the impression that they see themselves as "impregnaters", so would they be thinking of impregnating me instead of focusing on not damaging my stuff? These days, when any problems arise with problems to your furniture and in court you oresent a similar version and it's price value, I believe you will never get that amount because most furniture now from then has tripled the price just by tacking on the word vintage.

8:51 if ya last name is spelled McKune, why is it written as muLe? I know people abbreviate their names in signatures, as do I, but I still use the actual letters in my name🤣🤣🤣

Everyone I know who brought Bobs Discount furniture always complained about the lack of quality and the stuff always broke! But the commercials where funny.

It’s discounted furniture because it’s previously used or damaged/blemished. Plaintiff I didn’t sign that, judge sure looks like your signature. Pay her by the pound , case closed !

Nothing says fine family heirloom furniture like Bob's Discount Furniture.
Lemme guess, she was hoping to get her full moving costs reimbursed by trying for an outright totally inflated monetary amount.

I feel like the furniture was already messed up and it was her plan all along to pin it on the company, why be so specific about that stuff but nothing else. I thought maybe it was brand new but it was 3-4 years old at the time of move.

And OMG they took a whole hour to put stuff on a truck? She contracted for a move. Even if it took a little longer it would not have cost her anything additional.
