The last time I moved, I also hired professionals. They let me know they were taking a 30min break and stopping by the gas station to get food and use the bathroom between picking up my items, and dropping them at the new place. They let me know I wouldn't be charged for that time. Of course I was more than happy to oblige...because they are HUMANS that need a breather while doing a heavy lifting and manual work. Some people think when they hire someone, they have to act like robots. Also, if she was really concerned about her "expensive fancy" furniture, she should have paid for the optional insurance.
I think she was complaining because it took 1 hour to move out and 3 or more hours to move the same exact load in to the other house so i think she thought 1 hour to move out and 1 hour to move in just my thought

It is amazing to me that this guy does not have his customers sign something at the end of the move acknowledging everything is okay. If you’re going to pay a bunch of money to move your belongings then you should be there with your phone or video camera recording every move they make and check their reviews beforehand. I’d take pictures before they were moved, a list of items as they’re being put on the truck so there would be an accurate count and description of items being moved, and then videos and pictures and a checklist afterwards. They can complain all they want but they aren’t leaving and I’m not signing until we’ve both checked everything and it’s all clear. I’m the type to be upfront before I even hire them and tell them that I’ll be documenting everything. Every moving company I’ve dealt with limits their liability to mere cents to the pound. It really doesn’t make it worth the move unless you have high end valued furniture and pay for extra insurance and wrap it in several layers of bubble wrap before being loaded.

I have bakelite stuff from the 1930s . I collect stuff 😅And I never get any one to move my stuff . We do everything all ourselves . It's that light blue/grayish color and it had black legs. I wanted to give it a makeover so I sanded the legs and found a paint that matched the table top. Instead of painting them the original black they were. It looks quite cute. And my chairs were all found on the side of the road and at thrift stores I just restored them and painted them different shades of pink, they are old fashioned ones and none match lol, it's the same with all my cutlery and plates and bowls and stuff they are all vintage and none match, but i love it like that !!!. 💞😅 my lounge suite is from around 1985 those velour and wood ones . It's so solid.!!! It needs a reupholster and a makeover on the wooden parts. I just buy pieces here and there and take my time and restore them. My favorite color is pink lol 😆 💗 I'm looking for a 1970s double bed at the moment with an oak headboard and end. I saw one the other day for only $150 with that old wire base the mattress goes on. But some one already brought it !!! It was so beautiful reminded me of my parents old bed they had when I was little 🙏💖💕

I don’t understand why the plaintiff is so bent on destroying this business. The defendant’s employees accidentally damaged her old, particle board bed. Is it frustrating? Yes. But cheap furniture doesn’t do well when it’s taken apart and shimmied up and down multiple levels of a home. If you’re moving, buy insurance. Read the contracts you sign. Protect yourself. Don’t try to destroy someone’s entire business when they haven’t wronged you beyond a minor accident.

For our military families they receive a briefing with an inspector on site to explain that during the packing or unpacking someone has to be there and to take as many photo’s s possible. I have traveled from Germany to Hawi’i on military assignment and the only concern I had was sewing machine that had somehow shifted. Strange. The judge called him an “idiot”! I feel like the furniture was already messed up and it was her plan all along to pin it on the company, why be so specific about that stuff but nothing else. I thought maybe it was brand new but it was 3-4 years old at the time of move.
