How could you not remove a sin for What Alfred said to Bruce after he says he couldn't save her...."You walk the edge of that abyss every night. But you haven’t fallen in, and I thank heaven for that. But Andrea fell into that pit years ago, and no one - not even you - could have pulled her back.” Fail on your part CinemaSins
Or for the Joker's death laugh. He's looking the Phantasm in the eye, surrounded by explosions and fire, and his immediate reaction, besides the holy shit expression on his face, is to laugh. And by God, does he laugh. That itself deserves 10 sins off.
Why didn’t you remove a sin for the Joker laugh scene He sees Gotham, the city of the future, all in flames. And Mark Hamill gives a very chilling laugh Oh, and also remove another sin for Shirley Walker’s fantastic score
The score IS fantastic, but they weren't wrong to sin it for getting *way* too close to the Red October theme at the start. (And only a few years separated them; someone absolutely temp-tracked this with Poledouris.)
The City of the Future is also symbolic of Bruce and Andrea's relationship. When they were younger, it was vibrant and hopeful. In the present, it was broken but could be salvaged. When it is destroyed, the two of them cannot be together. So, in a way, Joker finds the destruction of Bruce and Andrea's relationship hysterical.
And no sin-removal for that final Joker laugh, which is probably the BEST Hamill ever did, which is amazing, since he killed it throughout the entire Animated Series.
At least this movie uses the "Batman's parents are dead" cliche to actually establish a connection between him and Andrea, as well as foreshadow the reveal later. The Flashbacks serve a real purpose in setting up connections between the past and present in this movie, so they aren't that big a deal for me. This is essentially a movie about Bruce's past, and what he might have had had he not become Batman. BTAS likes to use 1930s to 50s aesthetic despite it actually being in-universe the 1990s. Actually, Bane does exist in this universe. And another mobster hired him in the series to take out Batman, which of course he failed to do. It's likely the Joker remotely connected the bomb since he could see the Phantasm through the camera. And this being the Joker, wouldn't blow up the house until the person he was trying to kill knew it was him. Batman's survived far worse. And again, this is the Joker, he wants his victims to know it's him killing them. It's all showboating. Also, he thought it was Andrea he was calling since she was the actual target. This is the Joker, he's taken on Batman in fights multiple times. It's not surprising he'd gain the upper hand on her. Unlike the other mob bosses she's killed, he's smarter and more dangerous. Well the fan and the flags did come with the park when the Joker got it. He probably figured it wouldn't matter since anyone being sucked up like that would eventually lose their grip even if they did have the reflexes to grab one. Andrea's plan was to get out of town before anyone figured it out once she took out the Joker and the other mobsters. Plus, it's likely she's kept his death a secret for years. Arthur Reed thought her father was alive as well, so it's likely his death wasn't reported. Joker only figured it out because he's the one who killed her father. She couldn't bring up the smoke while she was holding on for dear life. He is the Joker, he loves to boast. He's a damn supervillain after all. And they at least give Joker a connection that makes his presence logical, he killed Andrea's father. They'd have crossed paths sooner or later even if Salvatore hadn't gone to him for help. The Phantasm is still the driving force, but she works more as the anti-hero reflection of Batman rather than as the villain. So Joker still works here. Yeah, Andrea and Bruce really can't be together. Not after all of this.
Yes, BUT Bane was created the same year this movie was made, so no one knew yet whether the character would be a hit and there wasn't time to include him into the production of the film ALSO he hadn't yet appeared in the TV show and wouldn't till almost a year later..
"I'm not sure why anyone in Gotham chooses to be a gangster to make money considering you could make a very healthy and honest living repairing windows." Yes.
But Batman wouldn't break all the windows if they weren't mobsters. Secretly the window repair companies must own the mob and are creating this carnage so they can reap in the rewards. It's actually genius and a sin should be removed.
You know a movie is good when 30% of its sins are Jeremy cracking jokes, another 30% are a result of the very limited animation technology of the time, and ANOTHER another 30% is just the same sin repeated over and over.
To be fair, he called it "Batman: Mask of Red October". It was counted as a sin, but considering the epicness of the Red October-Soundtrack, I think he meant to say "It is kinda too epic for a Batman-Movie, but still good"^^
I often suspect that cut-rate mob construction is why everything is so fragile and people can be flung through walls without getting seriously injured.
That's because the construction and window replacement businesses actually FUND all of the crime. They are setting up all these criminals to take the fall, which means they don't need to get paid and with all the damage Batman does, they collect a fortune all the time.
@@Troll_vs. I mean, if mr.sins over here decides to actually sin the movie instead of doing stupid jokes, there is still a lot of plot holes in endgame itself.

A lot of the "plot twists" are too obvious for you, so you're sinning them as if they weren't supposed to be plot twists. 1. The Joker was in several of the flashbacks. He was the gangsters' hired killer for years and he knows that whoever is killing them off is going to be out to get him, too. It's the reason the Joker is able to sniff out who the Phantasm is before Batman does: He pretty much narrowed it down to two living people who might want him and his buddies dead, because he knows _exactly_ what events they want revenge for. Arthur Reeves the assistant D.A. was his first guess, but when Andrea called his office he knew it had to be her. 2. The Joker rigged the camera up to the bomb at Vallestra's house because he wanted to be sure the killer wasn't Batman - or maybe he was _hoping_ it would be, because it means he's finally driven Batman to murder. 3. The Joker wasn't calling Batman on the phone to taunt him, because it's the phone at Andrea's apartment. The Joker cold-called her to see if she was home, and Batman picked it up he sent the bomb through her window thinking Batman was her. Basically, Batman is the innocent bystander in his own movie for a significant portion of the runtime, because he doesn't find out until the climax that Andrea was the villain. The Joker isn't just thrown in for nostalgia, because this movie tells part of his origin story as well as Batman's - and Batman needed the Joker to tell him that Andrea tricked him and he's been chasing a red herring.
“WILL YOU STOP TELLING BATMAN EVERYTHING?!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 “And try and keep your eyes open this time. Dammit, Jonesy!” 😂😂😂 “Who drinks coffee from a mug in a car?” 😆😆
seriously though, the only thing wrong with Mask of the Phantasm is how it basically flopped in theaters....it's a freaking BTAS movie ffs, and to this day it's STILL the best Batman movie alongside Batman & Mr Freeze: Sub-Zero and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
There should have been a removal of a sin for either Joker's entry (which to me was a complete surprise owing to the time and circumstances in which I first watched this movie) or the scene (not even mentioned in this video) in which he talks to and eventually poisons Arthur. The way Hamill morphs from banter to slightly threatening to horror movie laughter in that scene is so good! Aaand you could have then added a sin for this movie having not one, not two, but THREE "OH MY GOD, IT'S THE JOKER!" entry scenes. (The scene in the world of the future exhibit, Bruce drawing on the picture and Joker showing up in Arthur's office.)
The reason Joker warns him is that he never really wants to kill him. The Joker’s entire goal is to make Batman snap and bring him down to his own level.

The Joker isn't just thrown in for nostalgia, because this movie tells part of his origin story as well as Batman's - and Batman needed the Joker to tell him that Andrea tricked him and he's been chasing a red herring.
finally someone mentioned the stupidity of the bat signal
Their is no way you would be able to pinpoint the exact location of the bat signal instantly unless you were right under it.
“WILL YOU STOP TELLING BATMAN EVERYTHING?!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“And try and keep your eyes open this time. Dammit, Jonesy!” 😂😂😂
“Who drinks coffee from a mug in a car?” 😆😆
Does this mean you'll ever tackle any episodes of Batman: TAS on TVSins? I bet you'll find nothing wrong with _Almost Got 'Im!_
These a$$holes always find something wrong with everything. That's why they're famous
This was hilarious. Don't know how you guys are consistently funny, but I love it.
I can't wait for the b1rdmAn to dissect this video, because from what I see most of it is actually legit good.
It will be a fun experience.
Fuck that loser and his shitty butthurt channel.
@@JohnDoe-vn1we birdman or cinemasins?
@@JohnDoe-vn1we nice joke man😂
😂😂😂😂
I'm I the only person who thinks the intro song it one of the best batman songs ever
wow I got to a video only to see there are two comments
nice
>:]
This film is a gosh dang masterpiece. You take this back.
CAN YOU DO THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
That list would have more sins than his Star Wars prequel videos.
@@janeenschultz8502 wow and why is that
seriously though, the only thing wrong with Mask of the Phantasm is how it basically flopped in theaters....it's a freaking BTAS movie ffs, and to this day it's STILL the best Batman movie alongside Batman & Mr Freeze: Sub-Zero and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
I just watch this channel for his amazing voice
This one was awesome !
I watched it so many times, I had the video tape.
I knew EVERY lines XD
Same bro SO mad i lost my original vhs had it for years😂
Everything wrong with mask of the phantasm
Not much but I'm sure cinema sins will find a contrived way to find sins
DC animated movies: *exist*
Cinemasins: Imma bout to end their whole career.
Just like you're finding a contrived way to whine like a little bitch for satire.
Man the nostalgia. I watched this when I was really young, a trip down memory lane.
8:00 Why?
HISHE: Because I'm Batman!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“Also why does Joker sound like Chucky?” I mean Mark Hamill did voice Chucky in the recent reboot 😄🙃
(The scene in the world of the future exhibit, Bruce drawing on the picture and Joker showing up in Arthur's office.)
the flashbacks take place 10 years ago. andrea says it on the plane thank you very much
"Why does Joker sound like Chucky?"
Be-
Because that's the voice actor of Chucky?
Of the NEW chucky
BATMAN SURVIVES THIS BECAUSE HE'S BATMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"To spread sars"
who's gonna tell him
The twist BLEW MY MIND when I saw the movie (on VHS when I was like 6)
Clockstoppers, please?
The reason Joker warns him is that he never really wants to kill him. The Joker’s entire goal is to make Batman snap and bring him down to his own level.
EVERYTHING WRONG WITH BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM
This will be a short video cause there's nothing wrong with this movie. It's perfect.
How? Just watched it. Not a fantastic fun but not bad
I once met Kevin Conroy at a Comic Con in London and accidentally ran him over in my wheelchair easily the most embarrassing moment of my life
Cinema Sins more concerned that drunks are walking on an unsafe raised walkway TO THEIR CARS and not that they are driving while intoxicated.
LaserDroid A drunk driver MIGHT kill someone, scar someone else or they may get lucky and actually make it back home.
Someone falling off of that walkway WILL kill someone and scar someone else.
Priorities Mate.
Yo that Bat SARS joke was pretty ahead of its time.
“Why does the joker sound like chucky?” Clever
I think you should do everything wrong with Casper the movie, you’d have a field day with that 😂
